I heard from my friends about the delicious taste made by Chef Maryam, but when I went to the restaurant, I found it closed. It was only accepting delivery orders, and there was no food inside the restaurant, so I returned and did not try it.

We began with mirza ghasemi (eggplant caviar) and torshi (pickled veggies), and split the soltani kebab (mix of filet and ground skewers). Everything was exquisite. The five-star reviews are well-deserved. Merci!

We are visiting from California and this was the best Persian restaurant we have ever tried. The food was delicious and the service was great. We have tried many Persian restaurants and this was by far our favorite one! Plenty of room for stroller if you are traveling with kids. Also, make sure you try their tea, you won’t regret it!!

Nice vibe plus best ever Persian authentic food

I recently tried the kabab barg and koobideh at a Persian restaurant ( Soghateh Gilan) in Geneva , The kabab barg was perfectly grilled and seasoned(Gilan taste), with tender pieces of marinated beef that melted in my mouth. The koobideh was also delicious, with a mix of ground beef and spices that gave it a unique and savory taste. Both dishes were served with Saffron rice and a side of grilled tomatoes and onions, which added a nice touch of freshness to the meal. Overall, I highly recommend trying Soghateh Gilan specialties if you're looking for something different and delicious in Geneva Switzerland .

Probably one of the best "koobideh" and "barg" that I have had at Persian restaurants in several countries. Decent food for decent price. I ordered Soltani and the portion was indeed huge. The rice was well prepared and I just added a few salt as I normally like the rice to be salty. I booked my table in advance. The place was almost full when I arrived to eat dinner on Tuesday evening. Chef Maryam is very nice and I spent some great time in her restaurant. All in all, difinitely recommended. By far the best Persian restaurant in Geneva. Succulent meat. Delicious rice (although grains can be longer). Large servings. The mains is the highlight. Desserts decent but not home made. Maryam is a great host. And if you fancy high quality caviar that's the place to buy?l!

The food was great! Also suitable for vegetarians. The eggplant dish, the rice in vineyard leaves and the ayran were particularly delicious. The atmosphere is particularly nice and the hostess is very nice and committed. A great insider tip!

A superb address! The owner is super welcoming, the dishes are super generous with a magnificent presentation! My advice is to go there on an empty stomach! 🤤

Everything was perfect! Delicious meal, adorable owner and warm decor!

There is no doubt that the food quality is high in this restaurant; however, the behavior of the staff with us was very disrespectful. She was very aggressive! After my friend politely mentioned that he didn’t get his ordered beverage, she answered rudely that she NEVER forgets any orders! Later she aggressively brought the drinks. With this behavior, I was even afraid to ask for water!! She continued this behavior through the night and after we finished our meal, she started shouting and threatened to kick us out of the restaurant! She is not accepting of any negative comment as you might see also through the comments here in Google map! As well, she said we should never go back there again, which is not our wish. I truly loved the food but it was my worst dining experience!!

Excellent welcome, delicious food

It's really very fresh and very good. It is the boss who serves and prepares partly at the same time.

Shocked by the behavior of the waitress. 7 people went there for dinner. The waitress forgot the order of one person in our group and then very rudely told her that it wasn't her fault. But it was the fault of this person who had not ordered anything. After eating this person added a review on Google without the rest of us knowing saying they were rude. The waitress saw this, came to our table and started yelling, bullying us and threatening to kick us out of the restaurant because someone in our party wrote a bad review. I'm still in shock, certainly this behavior crossed the line and I really felt threatened. Worst experience for a Friday evening even though the food was good.

Authentic! Probably the best iranian restaurant in Geneva. The only ick is that almost everything on the menu is to be ordered 24 hours before. So if you just decide to go there, you need to eat whatever there is. But I was told this is because everything is fresh.

Hello, I just came to Geneva from Toronto and I can say that it was the best Iranian restaurant I have ever been to, and thank you very much for the warm welcome and hospitality from the restaurant management.

Came here on a Wednesday night, and the food was amazing. Highly recommend getting the yoghurt appetizer, and the various grilled meat dishes we had were excellent. The waitress was extremely friendly. There was a bit of a wait to get our food, but the wait was worth it.

4/5 because the price was a bit shocking. But I should have read the reviews first, it seems this is widely known. Otherwise the food was great.

Taste of Gilan, the name is what got me here because the food in this region in Iran is just the best of the best with all the side dishes and spices,Chef Maryam was super nice, we had a great chat, I loved the fact that everything is made from scratch and for certain dishes you have to send a request a day in advance and I loved the presentation and the design which was very well thought through, The mast-o-khiar (yogurt cucumber starter was unbelievably delicious, Shirazi salad taste amazing with all the fresh ingredients, And finally the soltani dish was just perfection. Thank you chef Maryam, will definitely come back whenever we come back to Geneva
