Sonnhalden Arbon in Arbon

During my observation at the home, I found the way a learner was treated extremely worrying. Bullying towards young employees is evidence of a deep problem in corporate culture. It seems that employees who may not have the best qualities for leadership positions are being promoted. These promotion decisions result in the pressure and dissatisfaction being transferred to both residents and learners. The leadership policy clearly leaves a lot to be desired and it appears as if criticism is being used as the primary management tool to effect change rather than finding constructive solutions. I would personally never consider bringing a family member into this home. It is essential that healthcare professions should be valued by everyone, like other professions of course, but it should come first and foremost from the institutions themselves in which these professionals work. There is an urgent need for Sonnhalden to rethink its internal culture and management practices. I'm sorry for the home itself, but the smaller management functions leave a lot to be desired... embarrassingly embarrassing..

Very friendly staff who take good care of the residents and guests. Highly recommended.

Perfect place with perfect people

Food far too soft, unreasonable. Servants are just out for money.

The staff sucks, some are very arrogant and unfriendly, absolutely unwilling to compromise and not flexible at all

The staff is not valued and they are humiliated. They make whatever they want out of us employees, private lives are not respected. There is a severe shortage of staff, so the remaining employees constantly have to step in. Residents do not receive the targeted care/activation they deserve because staff do not have much time for care. Can invest. Please avoid this nursing home as well as staff and residents.
