Soul Chicken, menú in Luzern

Price/performance is not right at all. For 5 chicken wings 25.- CHF is just a rip off. The sauce is brought 15 minutes before the meal and is therefore cold when the meal is received. The only positive thing about last night was the service. Wouldn't recommend anyone to visit the restaurant, it's a typical tourist trap. There are many better and cheaper chicken restaurants in central Switzerland.

We always enjoy going to Soul Chicken. The prices are a bit (too) high but the food is always very tasty.

There were four of us today and we were eating as soon as we were at the table and the warm bread arrived with 4 bowls of sauces after a quick order and the waiter took the sauce away from the person who only ordered fries. Go with the motto: no meat, you don't get any sauce and I got it For 23 for ridiculous 4 small legs🫨 they were good but for the same price the others had half a chicken and when ordering bread there were 5 pieces of bread for 4 for 4. The staff was very unfriendly and you had the feeling of being unwelcome. Conclusion food was great but too expensive Staff unfriendly Would I go again nooooo It's not worth it

When making the reservation it wasn't mentioned at all that you only had a 1.5 hour window to eat. In addition to eating, we wanted to discuss our vacation; this was mentioned when we made the reservation. I even had to take my drink with me. Because we resisted being kicked out, the owner ran after us and threatened and insulted us. This has never happened to us before. We will not recommend this to customers or friends.

Went to Soul Chicken with 3 colleagues and had reservations. We got our food and after we were finished I asked if we could order something else to drink, the boss said they had already given up the table and laughed/(thought it was fun at the beginning) then asked the waiter again who asked me said I'm sorry boss gave the table free.!?? We were half kicked out. If I could I would even give 0 stars!! Felt very unwelcome NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Just wow! Very nicely decorated restaurant. Supper service and great food! The highlight is the sauce that comes with it. Try and enjoy!

Cool decor and the food was tasty! On the other hand, it was quite tight when the table next to us was occupied. Luckily we were almost finished by then. We had the menu for 4 (33.- per person) and it was simply not enough because we were all still hungry at the end :(

While the starters (salad and warm bread with some amazing garlic suace) were great, the chicken that should be the highlight was way oversalted. The fries that came with it was also salty but the chicken really let me down. It was dry and just incredibly salty. The atmosphere was nice but seing their limited menu its not a place i will return to.

It used to be a very good restaurant. Warm welcome, first the menu card was brought, then the order was taken and the freshly baked bread came out of the hot air oven shortly or even at the same time as the meal. Today it's different: sloppy service, the bread comes out of the steam oven and is soggy, which is why it's always right before you order, so you have to buy a second sauce for 4.- anyway. 2 thighs, fries, 1 beer and 1 coffee 43.-. Great, I'd rather go to the KFC in Ebikon

We had dinner today. Chicken for 2 people or more: Fr. 33 each. The salad was really good and the portion was also good, but the main course was two drumsticks and 4 wings and a handful of fries, I just think it's not enough for this price. The waiter asked if we had enough and we said "no" and then he brought us another second helping and we were then charged another 33.--. I don't think it's possible and I'll never come back.

The food was great, starting with the bread and garlic sauce and then the salad, fries and chicken. The service was friendly and quick. The facility is exceptional ;-) Overall 5 well-deserved stars!

I have never felt as unwelcome as I did here. Table reserved at 6:00 p.m. Within about 20 minutes the boss came to our table and asked roughly when we would be there. After dinner we asked for dessert, but there wasn't any. 10 minutes later the waiter put the bill on the table. We then went to a restaurant where we were welcome.

Yesterday evening, my son wanted to go out for a “Poulet em Chörbli” with his family (9 people: 2 adults and 7 children). There was still a table available, but the owner said NO. A shame for the owner and for Lucerne! I am from Lucerne and cannot accept such a reaction. I will NEVER RECOMMEND their restaurant AGAIN.

By far the best chicken🍗 in the city of Lucerne. Excellent crispy & a super tasty special house sauce. The interior design and ambience is very special and beautifully old-fashioned. You feel comfortable and the chicken shop owner is also very nice. Thank you!

absolutely gorgeous chicken and the best garlic sauce i’ve ever had

Wasn’t too hungry so we came in wanting to share some chicken, was told that we had to order one main each. No problem, thought we would have our leftovers to go. That wasn’t the case. We finished ALL our food. Bread was hot and fluffy, sauce was tasty without being overly intense. Star of the show was obviously the chicken, a tad salty, but when accompanied with the bread and beer, it was perfect.

The chicken wings with the sauce were delicious. Very crispy. The service is very friendly and the atmosphere is special (positive). What's a bit of a shame is that all guests have to order a menu! On the other hand, it's understandable because the restaurant is very small and doesn't earn anything from someone with a cola... Reservations recommended. And from around 8:50 p.m. no new guests will be served.

It's a bit salty, but delicious. If you miss Korean chicken, go here.

Chicken recommended by a friend who went to Lucerne🍗 Two people ordered one wing and one leg. The spicy sauce is not like seasoned chicken sauce, it feels like Cheongyang pepper sauce, but it is delicious when spread and the garlic sauce is great. The powder mixed on the outside of the chicken is slightly spicy and goes well with the garlic sauce. Bread comes first, and if you dip the bread in garlic sauce, chicken comes out. The atmosphere is fun too. Toilet clean. After looking at the record menu, my friend said that he has become more like Euljiro over the years hahahaha.

What a fabulous find in the heart of Lucerne! The chicken wings were delicious (I don’t know what they put on them, but it’s yummy!), the salad was fresh and had a lovely dressing and the fries were fresh and moreish!! Highly recommend.

The service attitude was very poor. I made a reservation for a seat. When I arrived, the boss directly said that the time limit was 1 hour. After looking at the menu for less than 30 seconds, he came to the side and said that we were looking at it for too long and it was a waste of time. ㄧAfter finishing the meal, he collected the dishes right away. The next second, the credit card machine was thrust into our hands and asked us to pay and leave. The store was not full at that time. Very unpleasant dining experience

We ordered from Soul Chicken today via Uber Eats. We feel that the quality has decreased. The chicken wings were bland and not crispy (more like mushy). The bread was dry (we suspect not fresh) and mostly cut. Also very little fries and sauce. The price/performance ratio is no longer right for us.

I thank my stars that Google suggested Soul Chicken. From the outside you would miss it at it has no sign, but the delicious smell will tempt you in. We went on a very hot June evening when the restaurant was busy. The owner found us a table at the back, and they had fans blowing throughout the restaurant so it never got too hot. But the chicken...oh my days that chicken. We had a portion of wings, a half chicken and fries, and a delicious side salad that was nicely dressed and had mint. The wings are the best! I'd go back again and again for those. The dishes all come "Soul Sauce" in a little bowl (although the 1/2 chicken is drizzled in it too) for you to dip your bread, chicken, or fries in and they should bottle that stuff because it is delicious! The restaurant has an eclectic mix of decor, with a bohemian homeliness to it, and lots to see on the walls surrounding you. It's a gem of a place, with great food, and a wonderful friendly team that take great pride in what they do. If you like simple food cooked well, then this is the place for you. 11/10.

Reception: if he's having a good day it's ok, otherwise... The chicken: the spices are good, it's crispy and served hot, but it doesn't make it crazy, the quantity clearly leaves something to be desired... The price: frankly for the quantity it's expensive..

An incredible place to absolutely discover! On a quiet street far from the flow of tourists, the small restaurant resembles a cabinet of curiosities from 20th century Paris. The dishes are generous and tasty. A real treat for chicken lovers. The welcome and service are very friendly.

This restaurant was recommended to me. Arrived. Greeted warmly. Then the drinks were ordered first. I wanted carbonated water for 5.00 and my girlfriend wanted a cola. Unfortunately I was given non-carbonated water. But I accepted it that way. Then I ordered wings for 22.- and my girlfriend for thighs for 22.- Since I ordered an extra sauce it cost me 4.00 extra. All well and good. Afterwards I was approached stupidly by the owner about why we were only eating for so little, that he was getting arrogant with such customers. I asked him if I could have napkins. His answer!!!! Do I look like I have napkins? He told me: "I made reservations for both of you a day in advance and you only eat for so little? I got hit on STUPIDLY because we didn't consume more. I've waited almost 4 weeks to review this. But the way we do were treated. Is unacceptable. That's why we friends family etc. will avoid this shop. Although the food was very good. Too bad.

I ordered a meal for two to share. Please note that the price listed on the menu is for one person. The salad is large and can be used as a good complement of vegetables. Although the fried chicken seasoning and dipping sauce are a bit salty, they are full of aroma. The fried chicken itself is also juicy and delicious.

Yes, 66 CHF without drinks for two people sounds pretty solid at first. Unfortunately, the chicken pieces are far too small and too dry. Somehow the price-performance ratio is strange. KFC isn't worth comparing, but for the price you get a lot of juicy chicken. The only thing they have in common is that both gave me stomach pains. Thanks for the strange experience.

Visiting from the states and I could not have been happier to have found this stop for chicken wings. They were seasoned amazingly and the sauce that came with the bread just took it to the next level. If you love and are craving wings, then this is the spot to visit. Also, the place inside is such a cool design with all the pictures, paintings, clocks, etc it felt like I was getting cooked a southern home-cooked chicken wing meal at my grandmas house.

We have menu 66 CHF for 2 person. but the chicken wings and chicken legs are too small and too dry. 😭

Chef (who is also the owner) is so arrogant, pompous and very unfriendly. That is definitely not the way to treat the customers… we went many times, but don’t go anymore solely because of him.

Since there are only four items on the menu it's easy to choose. When you walk in you might first think 'where did I end up' but the decorations on the walls and the interior design make the restaurant what it is. Simple, small & straight forward! There is a star deduction because we mentioned when making the reservation that we were coming with a baby (cart) and we were placed at the back where there was really no space and we had to leave the car outside. They also sat two strangers at our table, which wasn't particularly bad for us but could put a lot of people off. I will definitely come back :)

Extremely unfriendly The two of us went to the restaurant at 9:30 p.m. The boss said in a miserable tone that he would be closing soon and that he was tired in half an hour, we should eat and leave. The normal closing time is 11 p.m. It was raining and really cold, the door was open. When I closed the door he shouted through the whole crowd why I was doing it myself, there were still guests in the shop. In addition, the food was cold and didn't taste good at all. We left more than half of it and left. Never eat in such a dirty shop again... Even 1 star is too much

Unfortunately it's no longer the same quality as two years ago. Portions have become smaller, prices have increased and hospitality has also suffered greatly. A group of 10 had to leave the restaurant after 90 minutes because the next group was waiting. However, we were not informed of this beforehand. What a shame!

Have reserved and received a confirmation. But when we arrived on time they wanted to sit us at the table with another group. When we replied that we would rather wait until our own table became available, we were shouted at. We then left annoyed and hungry. That was the last time there.

I actually like the chicken there. It tastes good but the service isn't that great and neither is the organization. We were there for our reservation and we had to wait. It wasn't actually a problem but we were later told that all the tables were occupied. Then we brought the menus and said whether it would be good to sit at another table with other two, even though we had a reservation. I thought the way he said it wasn't professional. He was annoyed that we didn't want to sit with friends. Then we left and found another very good option, from now on we eat there.

Great value and wonderful taste! We had wings, legs, and fries - all of them were great. The spicy sauce on top of that was nice as well and reminded me of hometown Taiwanese flavor. Recommended, it’s the kind that’s popular in Taipei City. It’s delicious. The hot sauce is delicious. It’s great.

We had lunch at this fried chicken place yesterday. It was indeed a small cosy restaurant with a lovely ambience. There were lots of beautiful antique photo frames, clocks and decorations adorned all over the walls. The staff was very polite and super friendly. Fried chicken was very crispy but there wasn’t much flavor to it except for the powdered spices over it. Nonetheless, it was still pretty good! The garlic cheese sauce accompanying the bread basket was amazingly delicious! The entire meal was super wholesome with a large bowl of salad, bread with amazing garlic sauce, fried chicken and simply tasty fries! Worth a try if you are visiting Lucerne.

Positive: Great food! Chicken good, but Garlic sauce and salad great! Fries: great! Bread: ok. Portions: good. Negative: seating of guests. It is quite uncomfortable to sit and eat that close to strangers at the same table. If I go through the trouble to reserve a table for two, then you could, just to be kind, maybe offer us a "table for two" while the restaurant is mostly empty? Also quite pricey for the ingredients used ;) Some complain about service. Not us. They were friendly. All in all ok.

One day in May I was very hungry and went to Soul Chicken with a friend because in our experience the place made very tasty chicken. We've been there several times before. When we arrived, all the tables outside were reserved and there was no one inside, but there were free tables. We sat down at a free table. When I mentioned to a waitress that I was going to eat and my friend was going to collect the drinks, the waitress said that it wouldn't work that way and we had to leave. I tried to explain that I was ordering food. The waitress turned to the landlord and briefly explained the situation to him. How did he react to that? He cried and endured us with the smiling expression “Ciaaaao”. A pity. Was a good place.

This is my second time visiting, and today I bring my family here for lunar new year 🧧 Everyone loves it so much, and it probably is our favorite restaurant in Swiss! Both wings and legs are recommended, and the 1/2 chicken matches perfectly with their homemade spicy 🌶 Anyways, thank you for making my family had a great time!

I made a reservation for 4 people last weekend and when I went to the restaurant with my two children and my wife they said: "It's outrageous if we make a reservation for 4 people and there are two children with us - he has to make sales." When we wanted to order after a long wait, we were told that we had to order a main course for everyone, even if the children couldn't finish it. I then tried to talk to the chef or landlord and he didn't show any hospitality and we left the restaurant without eating. I will definitely not go to this arrogant and unfriendly host again.

The food is very tasty and the staff is extremely friendly. The price performance ratio is very good. You get enough for your money here. We always enjoy eating at Soul Chicken.
