I spontaneously went in after opening and was given a cold platter or a fresh sausage and cheese salad to choose from. Very friendly and accommodating, as I think it should be. I can only recommend it, especially if you like old-fashioned furnishings and the charm of an old converted stable.

Great location in an old converted stable. The old manger serves as a room divider and is beautifully decorated. We were all thrilled, it won't be the last visit. We recommend.

To put it briefly...all in all super!!! The staff (especially the hosts), the food and the ambience were simply fantastic! We felt really comfortable and crowned it our favorite restaurant. But you should make a reservation because you won't find such a great restaurant anywhere else!!!!! Prices are very decent! GREAT!!!!!

The restaurant is located in the immediate vicinity of Lake Greifensee. As the name suggests, it is furnished like a steel room. An ideal place to take a trip with friends from abroad. We were always given a very friendly welcome. The service is friendly and attentive. The restaurant offers a variety of regional and seasonal specialties. The food is a delight for the taste buds. I recommend making reservations for dinner. There are plenty of free parking spaces on the farm area. We'll definitely come back.

Reunion after fleeing Ukraine more than a year ago in a peaceful, cozy atmosphere in a typical local farmhouse on Lake Greifensee. Attentive, friendly and with heart. The food was tasty, the farm's own wine was delicious and we were able to enjoy the evening!

It's worth coming even from far away. The service is always smiling and nice. He will advise you when you don't know what to choose. We came with a 2.5-year-old child, so a delicious dish for kids was also available. For us 4 adults, delicious and well-composed main courses, two beers, drinks and desserts for all 227 Fr. What can I say, see the photos. We will be coming here for a good lunch. Open until 10 p.m. I recommend it🥂🙋‍♂️

We stopped here because we were cycling around Lake Greifensee and the restaurant is right on the route. We each had a coffee, a mineral water, an apple spritzer and a homemade apple tart. The latter was still lukewarm and very, very fine. The service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely stop again next time.

Nice Swiss German food, nothing outstanding though. Portions are quite big. The service was nice and pleasant pleasant but a bit slow as the place got crowded. The atmosphere is nice but it's unfortunate the terrace is next to the road, so it gets quite noisy.

Catastrophe! We had booked an aperitif for 15 people and when it came to choosing the aperitif (food), our calls, combox messages and emails were completely ignored. There was also no response to our email rejection stating these reasons.

Unfriendly staff including the owner. I ordered vegetables instead of French fries and wanted to ask what vegetables they could offer, which the superior couldn't answer. Only got Brussels sprouts and celery root (steamed), tasteless. Meat ordered medium/rare but came through.

Moni and Dani simply make you feel welcome! The food is top notch - and from our own beautiful farm. Perfect for a stopover on the tour around Lake Greifensee. But also for larger settings or special occasions in the stable, in the threshing floor or outside!

Atmospheric and carefully restored rooms, where many details are reminiscent of the former cowshed past. The large room is a bit narrow and long for communal events. But in no time we got a microphone so that everyone could understand the speaker again. The service was very attentive and quick and fulfilled some of the guests' special requests with a smile! There is more than enough parking space and the garden restaurant is invitingly designed.

Steep prices! For a salad with a meatball Fr. 38.50. The vegetables are just blanched (potatoes still raw inside). There were bits of plastic in the dessert ice cream, which was frozen rock hard!!

Great service, great ambience, great food

The Bachofen family is running this farm for the 10th generation (according to the website) and converted the stable into a restaurant about 20 years ago. The atmosphere is rustic but still very cozy. All the wood has charm and you can still see that it was a former stable. The food is home-style and very, very tasty. They source beef from their own farm and are also IP certified. They also have home-produced wines. The staff is very polite and nice and we felt very comfortable. We are looking forward to being able to hold an event at this location in the fall.

Our expectations were met in every respect. Stable room can only be recommended. Congratulations to the whole team 🙂

After we had cycled around Lake Greifensee in the afternoon, we stopped here in the stable room for dinner. The very courteous and friendly service made us feel very well looked after, the simple meal, salad with a stick of minced meat was just right for such a hot day like today, we felt completely at home, thank you very much!!
