Starbucks in Fribourg

Relatively slow compared to those in Geneva. The saleswoman offers me if I want more coffee without mentioning that it’s 1CHF more.

Overpriced and boring self-service coffee and shabby decor... It's a mystery to me why Starbucks is so successful.

I had banana bread one morning. He was completely dry. For the price I paid it was really not good. This is product from the day before which was not well preserved overnight.

I went 2 times this week. Yesterday it was way too sweet and today I almost only had ice in my drink. My friends ordered a matcha with vanilla syrup, but didn't get any syrup even though they paid the extra.

Update September 27, 2023: New Review I came back to this Starbucks today and my has the service improved. The line was out the door, but yet my drink managed to be done in about five minutes, and my pumpkin spice latte came out heavenly this time. Thanks for improving the service. I'll be back! Old Review This has to be one of the most underperforming Starbucks in Switzerland. I came in on September 14th at approximately 10:50 to get a pumpkin spice latte. The barista who attended me was so distracted watching what everyone else was doing that she made my drink all wrong. She basically just gave me hot milk. I’m on my way to the Starbucks in the Bern train station now. I love Starbucks, but the baristas in Fribourg are not well trained.

This Friday, September 22, I ordered a pumpkin spice latte at 3:45 p.m. I paid 1.- more to have whipped cream on my drink, something I did not get. In addition to that, the gentleman who made the drinks threw them halfway on the counter, which meant that when I took my drinks there were drops that came out on the cardboard edge, when he put the drinks down in an agitated manner.

Excellent service: the staff is smiling and very friendly! I very rarely go to this café, I had no expectations and I was particularly surprised by this very warm atmosphere. Otherwise I have the impression that the comments area is used in particular by annoying people... too bad...

A typical Starbucks except that there seem be a lack of staff because the trash is always full and there is always a long line to order.

My recent experience at Starbucks on 07.07.2023 left me with a bitter taste. As a regular customer for years, I expected quality service, but I have noticed a general lack of motivation among the staff recently. However, I would like to mention that Dario is a notable exception, always providing excellent service. On 07/07/2023 I asked if I could get both a discount using my Starbucks card + a stamp for a free coffee, as I have always done in the past. Unfortunately, the employee on duty that day around 7am, even a little before, responded very aggressively, telling me to choose one or the other. This unpleasant response and the attitude of this employee shocked me. I sincerely hope that Starbucks takes steps to train and motivate their staff in customer service. Additionally, my best friend and I went to Starbucks on September 8, 2023 to celebrate her birthday, a tradition we had for years. We were disappointed when the employees informed us that getting a free Starbucks for a birthday was not possible, although it had been common practice in the past. Given our frequent spending at Starbucks, we consider this free birthday gesture to be an essential means of building loyalty. As a loyal customer, I expected Starbucks to continue offering these benefits, but unfortunately, that was not the case. I hope Starbucks will reevaluate its policy in this regard to maintain customer satisfaction.

Very long and necessary service. They melt the wrong drink and wait 10 minutes to give back the right one, which is also wrong. Deplorable!

Very nice atmosphere among the team

Beautiful area . It has the advantage of being located at Friborg station, Formerly called station buffet, The architecture is magnificent, the decor is also magnificent and there is a piano for those who wish to play. However, the possibilities of connecting need to be improved. Many people come there to study or work.

paid for extra sirup topping but didn't get any extra! when we asked for it, we were told, that the sirup was added inside, it would have took them under a minute to just add it! frappuccino tasted like water, with apparently "extra sirup", we recommend to add "extra sirup" to higher the chance to get a slide taste

I arrived at 9:45 and the terrace was still not open. When I ask if it is possible to go there, I am told nastily and stupidly “we just didn’t have time” with a roll of the eyes. Being open since 6:00 a.m., I think it is feasible to set up at least one table outside. My refresha had no taste, frankly disappointed and the staff was not welcoming.

Quick and efficient! Too bad it's often full to quietly sip your coffee because many students come to study.

The mistakes made by barista has caused me serious nausea for almost 24 hours, as I have the problem of lactose intolerant. I shared my worst experience with Starbucks and they say this shop in Fribourg is not operated by Starbucks, here’s the reply: “Thank you for contacting Starbucks Coffee Company. The store you visited is a licensed store that is not operated by us. However, we have now forwarded your feedback to the operating company and you should receive a response shortly. We appreciate your assistance in this matter.” The whole experience in this shop is ridiculous.

Nice place on two floors, close to the station, lots of space inside, easy to access for everyone. Great variety in the products offered such as coffees, frappucinos, cookies, cakes, muffins and other sweet treats. Nice staff but nothing more…

Super comfortable corner, better than before!

I am frankly disappointed. I am a regular at Friborg Starbucks. But I won't go anymore. Before with the card he did not accumulate points but gave a discount on the drink to compensate for the loyalty card. Recently they no longer take buses but only active accounts. I was asked to re-create an account on the application. This morning I went to get a coffee on the train and I was told that they had to have stars on their account. Jord it's impossible because they don't do it, their response was that I had to go and drink coffee in Bern or Lausanne to get points. I live in Fribourg, I'm not going to pay 40 francs for the train just to activate my account!

Standard Starbucks experience. We were very disappointed to be told off when our son wanted to play the piano. There's a sign on the piano that invites kids and grown-ups to play with it. Apparently that's a lie: our son loves to try instruments, he's got a keyboard and a ukulele at home, so we put him on the piano and stayed next to him to make sure he wouldn't do anything he wasn't supposed to. Nobody was showing any interest to it. Even then, the staff told us he couldn't be on it. What a bummer. I don't get what the point of the sign is if you don't want people using it.

I'm not in the habit of leaving a review, especially a negative one... But I was shocked by the attitude of the manager of this place. It's a place that I frequent regularly both with my relatives and my friends, but after what happened yesterday, it's over I won't set foot again and I will talk about this story to everyone I know. surroundings. It was the first time that I went with my children and my husband, so all 4 of us together, an employee came to tell us that the children could not touch the piano (the message displayed above the piano stipulated for small and large ), so we showed him the poster and said that's not what it says. We have a piano at home that we bought a few years ago for our daughter to learn to play. So we know its usefulness! my daughter wanted to play a few notes on it, so yes she's not professional, but she didn't make anything or noise, it was very light, and it didn't bother anyone, to the point where the couple who were right next door was playing with the children by pressing a few buttons. But suddenly we see a gentleman arriving with a firm step, almost aggressive I would say. (the manager), he pushes the children, jostles them, he started to say that it's the nursery who should play, and I go through everything he said, all this in front of the children and the customers , they denigrated us, took us for people who don't know what a piano is, he was insulting and aggressive and he dared to say that my husband was aggressive but he in no way raised his voice unlike to this gentleman, we left because he made us so uncomfortable, and we got tired of him insulting us like that. My children were completely shocked by his attitude and didn't understand anything. Such behavior is unacceptable, if we were insulting or unpleasant or aggressive I could have understood his behavior, but like this gratuitously coming to insult people, denigrate them in front of children, push them, this is unacceptable. This is unheard of.

With family in Friborg while waiting for an appointment we decided to go have a coffee at Starbucks, nice surprise a piano intended for customers with a message displayed for young and old that they can play, my daughter 4 1/2 who started the piano wanted to make some note on this magnificent instrument, an employee came to us and stipulated that the piano was not intended to be played by children, I told him that it was suitable for young and old, he told me say yes but no the management has just told him that it was forbidden.. (surprising!!!) 26 sec behind him the manager of the Starbucks and Coffee and friend at the Friborg train station and came with a firm step to push Mr. son 19 months old with his foot wanting to forcefully sit on the piano seat where my daughter 4 1/2 was saying that children are at the crèche here it is a respectable place and explains that you piano and playing (yes he kicked out my children) saying here they need an acceptable level to play this instrument which is a piano always explaining to me that it is a piano.. this and a lack of respect he said that he had 10 witnesses to my attacks towards him, while I am sitting with my wife and drinking a coffee at an unbeatable price but the subject is not there.. I invite all families with children to go and play this superb piano you would have a welcome like never before you have had..

I was going to drink coffee not to listen to the problems. Teach your employees not to disturb others and respect his workplace.

Having spent many weekends working at this particular Starbucks for nearly 4 years, I can safely vouch for their impeccable service. The toilets were always clean, the ambience calm and quiet, and the service kind and quick.

I don’t usually go to Starbucks for an overpriced wannabe specialty coffee, but since I had an early trip I stopped by for a flat white. No big expectations, but it was basically a cup of hot milk with a bit of coffee flavour. Nothing to do with the intense double shot flat white you get in specialty coffee shops. At least name it differently. Location was clean/convenient inside the train station and the staff was nice.

Best pumpkin spice latte in town! And good news : they finally stopped charging extra for plant-based milks, and they offer vegan whipped cream now as well.

Cleanliness leaves something to be desired

Horrible and nasty. They barely clean tables. Went there 3 different days before posting this. I even went and ask for something to use to clean it up myself so that it will stop attracting flies. You work with sugar.. you should be very cautious when it comes to how fast tables are cleaned up after use. Otherwise, the whole place would be full of flies which is the case. Dégueulasse **** Update: was still working when a supervisor identified me and reached out to discuss the feedback. Which shows they care. Which is already fantastic because many businesses do not care about the satisfaction or comfort of their clients. I noticed they started cleaning tables more often and quickly. Which was the purpose of the feedback. Thank you for caring about the comfort of your clients.

I wanted to share an exceptional moment with you. After all the stress I endured that day, I was looking for some comfort. I found it in the Starbucks at Friborg station! A warm place where you feel at home, with exceptional staff who listen to our requests and are very smiling. My caramel macchiato also made me smile again.

The staff does not listen to the order we place, therefore makes it wrong, and when it is time to point it out, rolling their eyes without saying a word, repeats it in an annoyed manner. Extremely unpleasant, borderline unacceptable. A real shame!

I love THIS Starbucks. The decor is very American cafe. Armchairs and sofas just like at home (like in “Friends”). The decor is sober but there is something extra and we feel so good there. There are high prices but that's relative to the brand, we go to Starbucks for the experience... I love the products

An infernal noise....in the morning at breakfast this is not compatible

Order prepared to be packed while we stayed there (great coffee in a cardboard cup🤨), refused to scan the Starbucks app, wrong size of coffee, no apologies given for the mistakes made (limit that's us the c*ns), staff completely overwhelmed between customers and Ubereat orders. Ah.... Starbuck, the last branch available in Friborg and cannot subscribe to gift vouchers but you can buy them there. Despite this detail, the service is normal, the customers too and the staff likewise. Nothing bad, the piano which adds a "Jazzy" touch if of course, someone is playing it. I recommend the Machiatto. It was a great cafe that I went to every week several times a week before it was renovated. Unfortunately, since its renovation, the Caramel macchiato no longer have a caramel taste but just a coffee taste... And it's a shame, because I didn't mind paying a lot for a good caramel flavored coffee, but pay the price of a caramel Macchiato to drink a latte.... No thanks :) Furthermore, at peak time in the morning at 7.20 there is always only one person to collect and serve, which makes the wait long for people in a hurry. What's more, the staff is very friendly to some people and very unfriendly to others. Really a shame... I loved this coffee... ='(

Too expensive, really not worth it

I think Starbuck is very good. There are various things, like cakes and so on. (But it is expensive) In the expensive Molino, a coffee costs four francs or espresso. In the Starbuck the espresso costs 4.70 Fr. and the coffee costs 4.90 Fr. (I only go there when I have to wait for the train, for example.) There are often a lot of rich students in there. They got the money from their parents. (In the past they could you can still pay the food at a normal price.) Today it looks like a living room. You used to be able to eat cheaper.
