Staff always very friendly, attentive and always in a good mood. The food is always very good, considering that it is “just” a Beck. Thanks to the entire Steiner Beck team.

This place used to be run by a great lady who really knew what it meant to be a manager. The new lady is lacking in customer focus and I often go in there, 5 people are huddled over in the restaurant side, doing nothing, while one poor woman is trying to serve the walk-in customers and struggling. Also, some of the staff are a bit rough round the edges (sorry!) They serve the best Laugengipfeli though. We were in for lunch and I had a toasted sandwich with veggies / humous. My friend had roastbeef which she tells me was NOT good so it is all a bit hit and miss. Still, it is a very popular place, especially at weekends.

Great canapes and delicious sandwiches. The patisserie is delicious and the locations are tip top, only the parking spaces are a bit rare

I would really like to give this place more stars, but you just can't do that when you have to wait for service early in the morning. It might be better to replace Ms. B. (Deputy). She puts it on the table every day in a way that you shouldn't have in direct customer contact. Brisk, without any subtlety. If you talk to other friendly employees, she immediately reprimands her that SHE is now taking over. Forgets orders within seconds and when you point this out in a friendly manner, you just get yelled at: so to speak: what do you actually want, are you happy you can shop here...

A bakery that understands that there are also people who don't just want meat or cheese in their sandwiches 🥪. That's why there is, for example, a vegan burger sandwich, which can be made warm if desired and tastes surprisingly good. Sure, the selection of vegan dishes could be even larger and then it would get five stars, but at least.

I was there today. The staff was catastrophic - super unfriendly. Never again Steiner Beck Wallisellen. If employees are frustrated, they should think about changing jobs instead of taking their bad mood out on customers.

I was there today. There was an older gentleman at the counter. He addressed me with the words “beautiful woman”. His look was very suggestive and I feel harassed by him. As long as the older gentleman is there, I won't come anymore.

Worst Steiner Beck I've been to so far, too expensive, rude, not informed that if you take a 5dl Ovi from the refrigerated shelf, take away is cheaper than in the restaurant even though I didn't even get a glass and paid an extra 2 francs for the Ovi because I had it I drank in the restaurnat, the quality isn't great either. I've eaten better sandwitch and croissants in Migros and Coop once and never again...

I'm very disappointed with the quality, the prices and the service - croissants that are too hard, fried eggs with ham and an omelette with no taste, if you eat in the bakery you pay an extra charge which I personally think is unfair and I've never experienced this before

Good range from A like Apfelwähe to Z like Zimmetstärn, bakery with very, very fine things. Can also be eaten on site at “Chafieggä” with a warm/cold drink. Very friendly staff, give a tip if it's appropriate.

Gluten-free braid (immediately left after entering the freezer) unfortunately tastes sweeter than regular braid. Still happy to get a decent one after many years without braids. For those who follow a wheat-free diet, I like the GF chocolate cake. Recommended in two different sizes. Various gluten-free cakes can be ordered as desired. I was given one of these with chocolate for my birthday, but I didn't particularly like it.

It's good, but mayo should be in the tuna sandwich, not cream cheese. 😪 Similar to the caprese sandwich. A little olive oil? Yes, sure, it fits and contributes to the Mediterranean taste. Cream cheese? Of course not. It's like eating tomatoes with ketchup.

Was there during several lunch breaks and was always served very nicely. The food was also great. You also have the opportunity to sit comfortably.

Ceaser salad at Steiner for CHF 9.50. Proud price for a salad, you could say. I just missed the leaf lettuce here. Too much chicken, tomatoes and croutons on this small amount of lettuce. Next time please add more leaf lettuce, it doesn't cost anything and you can reduce the other side dishes. Otherwise the taste is good and very fine. P.S. Chicken Ceaser Salad is always without tomatoes ;).

Great selection, few people. We bought a cake in the online shop and picked it up - everything worked perfectly. Nice personel.

Very expensive and drinking water has to be paid extra. Even if consumed a lot and regularly. Add exactly 1 sip of water from a mini gal to coffee/espresso. The second one has to be paid extra. Unbelievable... Apparently these requirements come from management. They probably can't fill their throats enough!!!

Everything was wonderful, my favorite place in Wallisellen. However, I don't understand why people don't put out more tables when the sun finally shines, because in Swiss fashion "you" only do this at Easter. We eat and drink for 40 - 70 francs each time, regularly order cakes for 100 francs, and then the two tables are occupied by one person each for a very long time, consuming a coffee for more than an hour, sitting in front of the empty cup. Nobody cares, and then you just leave. Therefore two stars deducted.

I ordered a Mickey Mouse cake from Steiner Beck online for a children's birthday party. The cake was delicious and very beautiful!

Not very hospitable staff. This morning around 8 a.m. we had to pay the service surcharge because we consumed the take-away coffee and the rolls on the seat in front of the bakery. However, according to the sign in front of the bakery, the seat is only served from 8.30 a.m., which we respected. And this despite the fact that we had to get the coffee and rolls ourselves from the store and drink the coffee out of the paper cup. The branch manager still insisted that we had to pay the surcharge. A second employee then informed us about the unfortunate situation and apologized. I would have expected more tact and hospitality from the branch manager. It's actually a shame, because I'm used to very friendly and helpful staff at other Steiner branches and the quality of the service was always good.

Gluten-free, frozen plaits and breads are also offered (new?). As a gluten allergy sufferer, this makes me particularly happy. And I have to say, I haven't eaten such a delicious braid in over 15 years. For January 6th there was even delicious, fresh and gluten-free Epiphany cake. And the friendly service behind the counter is the icing on the cake. I'd love to come back (y)

The Steiner-Beck in Wallisellen has a large selection. Among other things, various gluten-free options are also offered (gritibances, 3 king cakes, breads, braids, etc.), which is very practical! We are glad that such options are offered. The other breads are also very tasty. The lunch menus are also highly recommended. The service is always very friendly.

Nobody is as good (and cheap) as Steiner :-) !!! Due to COVID and the staff restaurant being closed, I am looking for a bakery with a large selection. There are a few in Wallisellen including Glatt. But the prices are astronomical. A salad costs 10 francs at the competition. At Steiner the prices as well as the quality are great. Salad only costs 6 francs and the cheese tart is twice as big at a fair price. Since Steiner is just around the corner, I will only be catered for here.

The pastries, bread, and quiches as well as soups and salads are great. Service is always friendly. Lunch menus however are not too good in my opinion and it can get pretty packed at lunch time, which means that service can be slow.

Large sales counter with fresh sandwiches and sweet pastries. If necessary, these can also be warmed up. There are also many different salads on offer for light meals. These and the daily menu can also be taken away. The restaurant area is bright and clean. The staff is also always friendly and prompt. The large selection of cold and warm drinks rounds off the whole offer.

Positive: Great range, good quality and very attractive prices. Negative: There are often very long waiting times at the counter and yet no one responds (the waitress continues to take her break or serves calmly in the restaurant, where there may be less of a rush).
