Bread is much better than from the big box stores. Always very friendly employees.

I have been enthusiastically visiting the Steiner Beck in Uster on Bahnhofstrasse for many years. The quality of the baked goods and the patisserie is very good, and I also appreciate the cold Ovaltine and chocolate, which are prepared in the mixer, because that's the only way the drink is a real treat with milk. I would particularly like to mention the staff in this branch: Mr. Brauchli does a great job; attentive, helpful and customer-focused; But I also noticed Ms. Frei, she is the “sunshine” in Steiner-Beck because she is always very friendly and attentive. I therefore give this Steiner-Beck branch 5 stars out of conviction. I feel comfortable here and I also like to stay here for breakfast or lunch.

When I visited the Steiner Bakery in Uster today (February 29, 2024), I was horrified by the rude treatment by an employee. After a misunderstanding, she yelled at me, which is absolutely unacceptable. Additionally, I noticed that a young employee was disrespectful towards her colleagues, even in front of customers. Their loose hair and street clothes did not contribute to the hygienic atmosphere of a bakery. As a customer, I felt uncomfortable and shocked by the behavior of this young employee. This was an extremely negative experience that greatly affected my opinion of Steiner Bakery.

A bowl or breakfast at Steiner has become a tradition. The service is always friendly and the croissants are first class. It's comfortable to sit inside or outside. I'd love to come back there.

I just had a treatment at Asena Face Care and then spontaneously went to Steiner afterwards. The first time in probably 5 years. I would just like to say THANK YOU to Ms. Ingita Andrijauskiene, because she was so very friendly and warm. Something like this is very rare, especially in the catering industry, and so it definitely made my day shine.

Cafe doesn't offer pastries for some reason so you have to buy them separately at the separate counter, but overall delicious coffee and nice location.

Early in the morning when I'm in Uster, I go to Steiner Beck, there they have good small bread, coffee and very good staff, they are friendly and on their toes early in the morning.

From now on in the Steiner only with barcode, en PCR from the family doctor is no longer desired... I'd rather buy a test from the pharmacy for 20.-... So sad, I would rather have a 2 year old child use it instead of reading paper.... very flexible.... Shame on you... PCR is allowed without a barcode, namely on the certificate... ID was not required at all... The statement was, only with barcode... Please no false statements...

My daughter and a friend bought various food at the counter for CHF 27 and asked when paying if they could sit outside to eat. Answer: no, seats are only available for lunch menus from the menu. Dear Steiner Bakery, we love your products but this behavior clearly shows that we have forgotten where success comes from and how to build and maintain future customers. The girls have - and this doesn't surprise me - noticed that they won't be going there anymore. Of course, every company is free to determine the house rules, but personally I find it a bit questionable. How high is the desired sales threshold so that you can occupy a seat and the branch's income statement works?

Today I wanted to give the Steiner Beck another chance. The last two times the rolls tasted like they had been stored in a plastic bag for two days or had been baked incorrectly. The rolls taste stale and old since the newest ones. I don't know if another product is used which makes the rolls so doughy. It's a shame, but I'll look for another bakery.

In my personal experience, I think the Steiner is fabulous and much better than the other Steiner next to the Zürcher Kantonalbank. Always a wide range of rolls and desserts. The staff is always friendly and offers good service. First class!☕

In my opinion, the product selection is good, varied and appealing but the staff is simply not friendly. I missed genuine hospitality on too many visits. In addition, the cafe has too many seats. Everything seems too cramped.
