Steiner-Beck AG in Wald (ZH)

I like to go to SteinerAG in the morning because of the delicious bread rolls and coffee, but above all because of the love of Mrs. Anna Patek, who provides very good, positive motivation to all customers.

Service is great! But what we don't like is that we feel like we're in a dog salon. It's becoming more and more like a Janki meeting with dogs. You always see them at the train station using drugs.

We waited 20 minutes for a frappee, the service was cheeky and told us to be patient because it was Sunday and the kitchen would be stressed, it's not the first time that something has been forgotten and then some excuse. I think I'll get behind it.

Were there almost every weekend to learn. The employees are super friendly and very attentive. Can be recommended to everyone.

My wife and I went to Steiner Beck Wald again today, Sunday, October 8th, 2023 and would have liked to have breakfast. Unfortunately the woman who was supposed to serve us didn't serve us. A couple who came after us were preferred, that can happen. Then two men came in and sat down at a table next to us. The waitress came and asked what the two men would like. We were still sitting at an empty table. When the waitress came with the two coffees and left us standing again, we left. Take a look at the staff at Steiner-Beck in Hinwil near the train station.

Cafe Steiner in Wald has a nice selection of patisserie and cakes and there is also a menu with a large selection. Service very friendly. Will visit again and also have something to eat. Highly recommend the local place.

I just ate the best Caesar salad of all time at Cafe Steiner in Wald, a big compliment to the “cook”. Crisp lettuce, parmesan, egg and crispy croutons, plus a wonderful sauce (I didn't use chicken strips) but the bacon was fried very, very crispy and tasted great. I would also like to send my thanks to the entire team that has always been there. Gladly again and again.

My experience today at Café Steiner in Wald was not that great for me as a former owner of a restaurant. The products that are sold are all great and top notch. Only recommended. But the service ruins everything. I have rarely experienced such inattentive and unmotivated service employees. It takes 10 minutes until you can order. It takes the same amount of time before you can pay. Staff training certainly wouldn't be bad

The stay at Café Steiner in Wald ZH was a great end for the seniors after a fulfilling visit to the Lozzi Museum.

Everything looks very tidy, but the service is very bad. We had to wait 20 minutes until someone came to clear the table from the guest in front of us, which meant that we had several wasps around us and another 10 minutes until someone came to serve us...

I was there for the first time with my motorcycle crew the Monday before last and the second time today Monday (August 8th, 2022) shortly after noon. Was always received and served very friendly. MA staff are very friendly and friendly, you feel welcome. Unfortunately, around 1:30 p.m. there was a short, loud verbal argument between two people. The service employee courageously and discreetly asked the older man in a calm voice that if he continued to shout like that, he would have to leave the restaurant. Chapeau, that takes courage! I will visit this restaurant more often in the future.

Went there for a Sunday afternoon dessert. Were served very friendly and quickly. The ice cream portions are too big rather than too small and have a great price-performance ratio!

Actually a nice café/bakery opposite Wald train station. However, I can only give it two stars because the service staff spread the worst conspiracy theories and Russian propaganda at the table without being asked. It is also advised not to eat any meat. Completely out of the question...

After a hike, we ordered seven coffees for the whole group at the sales counter in the Steiner Forest. The saleswoman was very impatient and not very customer friendly, even though there were no other customers waiting. When I asked for a coffee collection pass, the lady became really unfriendly and I felt like I had been "schooled". Since I didn't want a discussion, I even apologized for my request. In retrospect, I'm really annoyed that I was yelled at like that. A pity! This interlude overshadows a wonderful day.

A really beautiful café where my wife and I often go and enjoy the wonderful coffee. But the friendly staff should be trained on Corona. We have observed some people going in and out without a mask, and also going to the toilet without a mask. Wearing a mask is immediately pointed out in the store, but not in the café. How come? This way we don't have to wonder when there will be another lockdown. That's why only 3 stars.

Generously furnished, bright, fast service and very centrally located. Has something nice on offer for everyone. A nice addition to the forest.

Breakfast was very tasty, coffee and service were great as always. I love coming here, the terrace is just great to linger.

It's a shame that you can't order the desserts at the table, but always have to order and pay at the counter first. It would be more comfortable otherwise.

Steiner Forest Local, selection, location and food very nice and fine! However, the service in the cafe as well as in the pastry shop was very unfriendly, unmotivated and incompetent, almost cheeky! A pity!! It was the first and probably the last time there! I'll stay loyal to Steiner Hittnau, everything there is perfect and a 5 star rating!!

I always like to get good sandwiches to take away. It's just that they're often not in the same order as the bars are labeled, which makes it difficult for me to locate the right sandwich. The staff is friendly :)

It's such a good Beck and I was really happy when they said the bakery was coming to Wald. But now I'm really disappointed. Last week it was open at 6 a.m. on Saturday and today when I wanted to go shopping again it was closed and only open at 7 a.m. I think it's a shame. Because I'm an early riser and it was ideal that it was open so early. It's a shame I won't go shopping anymore
