Great service and the best Caesar salad there is! I would happily recommend it, but there is also a large and varied lunch selection that is also suitable for vegetarians.

I go to the Beck Konditorei Steiner restaurant in Lachen almost every day. Very friendly welcome and very nice & prompt service with the “sunshine from 🇮🇹Sonja” very large selection of fine desserts & sandwiches and important you can really switch off and enjoy here 😊👍

It is always a pleasure for me to eat at Steiner Beck. Varied menus every day. Friendly and hard-working staff. Very good location, right next to the lake promenade.

We are here almost every Sunday and really enjoy our stay. Thanks to the whole team.

Very unfriendly waiter. When we were sitting down as a family with a small child, a waiter came and told us that they close at 5 p.m. We sat down anyway and the waiter came back and told us for the second time that they would close at 5 p.m. in a very unfriendly tone. We took our things and left without consuming anything because the pressure and unfriendliness of the waiter was the worst thing. The unfortunate thing about the story was that we went in at 4:40 p.m. and only wanted to consume something small and would definitely be ready for closing at 5 p.m.

It's not the first time I've experienced the terrible service when I just buy a croissant to take away. I entered the bakery at 5:15 p.m. and there was only one customer in front of me who even bought a croissant and a coffee. The salesman was talking to a customer much more slowly, as if the two of them were completely alone. While I understand that friendly chatting is part of good service, when the customer is sitting at the table and the waitress is serving the food, but if it is a take-away service, I assume that other customers who Waiting in silence should also be taken into account. The croissant was sold to me in just 15 minutes and I left the bakery at 5:30 p.m. Why doesn't the clerk understand that customers who shop for takeout expect quick service?

I think it's a shame that the Steiner Beck has lost a lot of its charm, the selection this Sunday was also rather sparse, and the service was very inattentive, of course it was full, but the service wandered around mindlessly and was very stressed even though there was enough staff, Steiner is certainly no longer my first choice when it comes to laughing.

Rather loud (noise level!) -> group of up to 6 people is ok. - Not suitable for larger groups Big breakfast: enough for 2 people. - good price/performance ratio 😀

I find it extremely sad that even in 2023 ingredients like pork fat - yes, pork fat!! - and palm fat can be found in supposedly ordinary breads. In addition, I don't see any declaration about this in the store. I hope the spirit of the times and reason will soon be applied here too.

I sat down at the round table at the entrance. The first thing I was asked (not even a greeting) was whether I was alone and I said yes The service woman said it wouldn't be good to sit alone at a large table on a Sunday afternoon But there were tons of empty tables I thought about whether I should get up and go straight away I drink and eat my coffee, cake, etc. here every week

We were taking a nap with our daughter and were served by a rather arrogant employee. Too bad it's a good place but the staff needs to be much more attentive. Management should choose its employees better.

Three employees behind the counter. I wanted to order while I was still undressing. "My colleague is coming." In a very harsh tone. In the end, despite ordering without cream or sugar, she brings me the tea in a cup that is more suitable for coffee. The coffee spoon wasn't really clean. The internet is still as bad as it used to be. I didn't really feel welcome.

Politeness is a concept that the staff here doesn't seem to know. Since there are many good bakeries and coffee shops in the Lachen area, I would recommend going elsewhere. Management really has a lot to do to get its employees under control.

We went to the bakery for breakfast, the food was very good, the portions were ok but the mini rolls were really too mini. :( The service could have been more attentive, but overall it was good and we're looking forward to the next time.

Staff are often involved in conversations with each other even though they have been standing at the counter for some time. Most of the time you see another employee standing around doing nothing instead of serving the customers. You don't seem to need the money here. PS: the cost-optimized almond croissants are no longer as good as the old ones, yes, that's noticeable.

Very nice café and bakery with the best plait far and wide. But yesterday we were in the café and wanted to eat something. After what felt like 30 minutes (20 minutes), no one from the staff had taken our order or brought our drink. After complaining three times, we were insulted badly. That is not how it works. So we got up and went to the Knobel bakery almost across the street. I didn't think something like this still existed.

A very stressed atmosphere and service. When she wanted to give me back 10 Fr. too little, she commented on how strict she was and how tired she was.

I was only there to buy bread. IMMENSELY GOOD BREAD

This Beck is very tasty! They have great salads and a large selection of bread products. The service is also good.

We wanted to have a drink and go out to eat and when asked if they had anything vegan to offer, the answer was, we don't like vegans, you can go to the Knobel bakery. Sorry, answers like that aren't possible.

It's a shame, it's the second Sunday in a row where the saleswoman was very unfriendly. Tip for personnel planning: Use staff who don't mind being allowed to work on Sundays.

And at the end of the day, you couldn't miss a really nice ice cream in this Steiner ice cream shop!!! 😉😊

Best Bürli sandwich in the region!

I bought a drink in Steiner and the seller came and said they weren't allowed to drink it here and portrayed me as if I had stolen the drink for 0.50 centimes. Really outrageous

Not everything that was like before is bad!!! Proof, ..... this bakery and pastry shop with coffee to go with it. Delicious 😋 Patisserie, pieces and nut/mande croissants, just like when I was a teenager (60s - 70s)!!! And friendly, courteous service in the coffee. Please hold on to the old traditions, bakery and confectionery crafts. Thank you very much

Short stay with travel company for coffee, snack, cake as there is a cafe.

We sat outside and had an ice cream (Denmark) with café cream and a nougat cup with mineral. I found 29.50 CHF a bit on the expensive side. Service was nice and quick. Moderately attended.

Very nice staff. The pastries were always very delicious and the patisserie was always very successful. My personal favorite are the ginger smoothies ;), highly recommended. But also always a good choice for a Sunday snack or croissants.

I don't know, depending on which Steiner you go to, you will get better or not so great service. Personally, I like the team and atmosphere in Saturdays, the people in Lachen are usually totally overwhelmed and cold.
