My experience was fantastic, they had our table already set up, for our 2 kids,the service personnel were soo friendly. And honestly i have to big up the cook, i have never tasted zurigeschnetle that is soo good as the one that i ate there.soo far it is the best.

After many years we visited the Steinerhof again to enjoy a fine Cordon Bleu. The service staff was extremely courteous and friendly, and the food met our expectations. I like the different cordon bleu fillings and sizes at Steinerhof, as well as the choice between pork and veal.

Staff very unfriendly. Christmas dinner inedible. Soup very watery. Vegetarian meal inedible spaetzli vegetables baked with cheese (more cheese is not possible). Ordered new plates without cheese. Had to pay 24.50 for a few spaetzli with vegetables and sauce. It's a disgrace. Would definitely not recommend the restaurant.

Went there spontaneously today, unfortunately never again!!!!! The service was inattentive and unfriendly. We wanted to share a salad with the meat - it wasn't possible, we wanted cordon bleu with spicy cheese - it's not available, stinky normal potatoes don't work, just weird little fries - I didn't eat half of it! It's just a pub for simple people who feel right at home here.

Spontaneously made a stop while passing through. There are enough parking spaces behind and next to the house. Service was very friendly and the food was very good. Top

Very good restaurant (good-bourgeois) with a cozy and homely atmosphere. You feel welcome. The Cordon Bleus are excellent, the salad respectively. the salad dressing is a poem. The furnishings are designed with great attention to detail and are very appropriate depending on the season. The toilet rooms are spacious, changing tables and high chairs are available. The baked spaetzli could be more seasoned :) Reservation recommended.

Stumbled in yesterday quite spontaneously and without knowing the restaurant. We received a very friendly welcome and were given a nice table despite the restaurant being almost full. The food (Cordon Bleu and Wienerschnitzel) were excellent! We will definitely come back and next time not spontaneously but with a reservation and great anticipation. Rita and Roger

Always happy to come back: very helpful service, flexible and varied selection as well as home-style cuisine that leaves no wish unfulfilled! The Cordon Bleus are the highlight in all variations - there are also small portions that are really smaller and therefore lighter - but the other classics and especially the dessert menu (recommendation for afterwards: the fried apple cakes with warm vanilla sauce) can only be recommended . Thanks to a small ramp from the shady parking lot, it is also suitable for older guests; We're happy to help! Priced well within the scope of what you get.

Update: From 3 to 5 stars We spontaneously came to the Steinerhof for dinner on Saturday January 7th, 2023. Despite the many reserved places, it was made possible for the three of us to be seated. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The food was very good, we really enjoyed the visit and would like to come back. The restaurant atmosphere etc. is really very nice, the service was also nice, but when I find such overripe bananas on a banana split that are already fermenting, and I have to wait 5 minutes until I get a spoon for my ice cream that is already melting away , I'm not thrilled, so only 3 stars for now, I'll come back and who knows, maybe I can increase the number of stars and you'll inspire me with an improvement...smile

Have ordered 2 coupes. We weren't allowed to sit where it was covered. Had to eat the ice cream in the blazing sun. It just wasn't creamy at all when frozen. The cookies were just soft, which means they were old. The service wasn't exactly motivated, that says it all. Price would be fair for Switzerland but I wouldn't even eat there for free.

Food and service was top. Gladly again at any time.

Best Cordon bleu ever. Also the best restaurant in Urdorf. The staff is super friendly and the food is great.

You can't fault the food, nothing about the coups, everything was very, very tasty. Unfortunately, it happened for the third time now that this would-be boss (blonde, short hair, black glasses, sharp-edged face and a lick my ass look) didn't know how to behave. We reserved a table and it wasn't a problem. The problem was that we spontaneously decided to get a coupe. This lady didn't like this at all and lectured us in front of all the guests that "you have made reservations for dinner" and not for a goupe! What's the difference between eating ice cream or a portion of fries? Both are food! Apart from that, we also ordered a portion of fries, which is part of the food theme. This woman doesn't know how to behave and was already screaming at my grandma that she wasn't allowed to sit down because the table wasn't covered yet. My goodness, someone like that should be kicked off and not left alone with the guests, who is also king! Someone like that doesn't belong there.

Rustic restaurant with great charm and character. The building is well over 100 years old. The service and the waitress were very friendly. That evening it was Metzgeten. The portions served were all very tasty. We were very satisfied and would like to come back again.

Food tasted good, but the service weren't specially kind.

My husband and I went out for dinner last Sunday and were very disappointed with the listless, snippy serving lady. The spaetzli pan was swimming in fat and after a few forkfuls I couldn't eat any more, it was otherwise inedible. The waitress asked me if she should pack it up and I firmly and clearly said no. My husband's cordon bleu didn't taste particularly good either. We're always happy and happy to go there.

Food was delicious but doesn't testing nice, because service was terrible. I am so disappointed. I will not visit this place never again.

The Steinerhof takes the phrase: “The customer is king” very much to heart and so this statement has the right meaning here. The cuisine is really great and there is something for every taste and every mood. The service team is always motivated and friendly. The Steinerhof is worth a visit and a good recommendation.

We come to the Steierhof for lunch once every two months. Good Swiss cuisine at fair prices.

Here you can enjoy delicious cordon bleu in a cozy atmosphere. But not only. The menu is well stocked and there is something for every taste.

The golden rule in this restaurant, if you are here you have to order something. Even if you are with a bunch of people ordering food but you don't want to have food, you should not go. The friend I went with ordered a coke and I was not in the mood for anything but I was literally forced by the waitress to order something or I cannot sit there. She was quite rude about it talking to me in German even if I didn't have a lot of idea being an English speaker expat.

Were here for carnival but the party in front was good and the food next door was good and I can only recommend it

Fine Cordon Bleu and courteous service

Salad dressing was ready, service was inattentive and rude. She wasn't even looked at when ordering and didn't feel like she was listening - then she promptly asked again which sauce I had ordered because she hadn't listened. Meat was delicious. Fries tasteless and soggy. Dessert was okay. Price performance, well. I won't eat there again.

After the baptism of our grandson, 14 people had lunch with us and we only experienced good things. The table was perfectly set, the service was extremely attentive and quick and the food was beautifully presented and of excellent quality. The price/performance ratio was okay. We also really liked the beautiful interior. We will come back in any case.
