I bought 10 croissants. Was given good advice. However, the quality of the croissants did not correspond to the high price of 1.70/piece.

Went to the bakery on January 20, 2024. Bought praline, Meitlibei and Schlossbergkugeln. The team was very nice and friendly and you could also laugh with them. I recommend this bakery to everyone.

I go for the Russenzopf, the Pralinés, and the pear cake. Called to reserve prune pralinés for Christmas Eve, was told that it was not needed. When I wanted to pick them up, they were all gone.

Delicious mokka-éclairs, cremeschnittes & others, excellent bread, all for the fairest price in Berne. Super friendly team also.

Delicious onion tarts, the "Marronnibrötli" also very good. Prices are correct. I enjoyed myself and even though there was a bit of a wait, the window entertained us😍

A milk coffe (no lattes or cappucinos available.... in 2023, come on). Friendly service, outdoor seating very basic, not very cosy at all. Nice shop window. 6.20 CHF for coffe and cinnamon bun is fair

Catastrophic welcome, never seen so much casualness and disrespect from the seller that I had the impression of being drunk. Sir, if your job gets you drunk, get out of there! Very bad experience in any case, never again for me, our beautiful French bakeries still have a very, very bright future ahead of them. To the wise!

Good products, there is no doubt about it. The service is very good, but today I had inconvenience, a young man served me, the child has no existence at all, according to customers. What if I order 50 grams of truffles? Is it forbidden to order small quantities of expensive products? Why don't they teach practitioners how to approach customers? But to some extent I understand that I'm just a foreigner! I left humiliated and will never return.

A MUST when we are in Bern is a visit to this bakery. Whether chestnut bread in autumn or bacon bread, Schlossbergkugel, etc. it's simply a pleasure. Okay, the prices are high, but there are very special, delicious sweet and salty dishes.

The truffles are world class, just by looking at them, and even more so when you eat them. From now on, when I'm in Bern, I know where to go.

For me the best bakery in Bern – absolutely top. The pear tart was one of the best things we have ever eaten as a dessert.

The stars are all for the prune truffles. They are worth the high price. The champagne ones are not as good, and I have never tried the baked goods. I am writing this, because the top reviews don’t mention these confections. Don’t miss them if you are visiting! On my next trip to town, I will have to try a pastry based on the reviews of others.

On Saturday we were able to enjoy the super delicious pear cake. Our guests gave us homemade confectionery, but unfortunately that is not recommended at all.

This morning I bought some fine chocolates that are on display in the shop window. The lady put her entire hand into the gift bag to open it and be able to place the chocolates better in the bag. Since this lady wasn't wearing hygiene gloves, I asked her to take a fresh gift bag and not to put her hand in to open it, due to the hygiene measures (Corona!) The lady asked the young salespeople to serve me and left the sales outlet without saying a word and went to the back. When the young lady was serving me, the lady came back into the shop and told me off...! She isn't dirty....? Stop! Excuse me, I never said that! But they take the customers' money in their fingers, etc. and without gloves open it into a gift bag all the way to the bottom where the chocolates go, that's not possible and the verbal statements aren't possible anyway. Everyone has a bad day sometimes, but not like this! Therefore only a *.

Migros makes better croissants for almost half the price...

Best “pear cake” ever - presented with a friendly smile!

I am very disappointed.. We were planning my nephew's 1st birthday. As always, you want the best cake and the bakery selection is always a thing. We finally decided on the Storchbakery. What seemed a bit strange to me at the beginning was that a bakery only had 3 choices for the filling. Well, we decided on chocolate filling and something else that I can't think of anymore. We also sent a photo of a cake (cake from the Storchbäckerei) to the pastry shop and communicated our wishes. We were told so and we were really looking forward to our first birthday. When we picked up the cake, we saw that the sign with my nephew's name was NOT on the cake, but simply lying on the box and the crowns were missing. We made the ladies aware of this, but instead of apologizing, they justified themselves. After all, the customer is still king and I thought that discussing things with us like that was the bottom drawer. We went... When we cut the cake, we saw that the supposed chocolate filling was not! It was whipped cream with a little chocolate powder! Taste disaster! We are really disappointed and will never order from you again! You didn't even respond to an email from my sister-in-law, which is why I decided to go public.

Had egg rolls from here for the second time. The first time it wasn't fresh and I thought you could be unlucky. The second time the egg roll felt like it was a week old. Just terrible for a bakery!!!

So many great bakeries in Bern. This one is one of my favorites as it has a few products I really crave for ;) The Baumnusstörtli is the best (if you like that type of pastry) and is price-wise excellent.
