Simply always great, completely meets our expectations. Every time we are in Buchs, we come here for a delicious dinner.

Unfortunately, the empty glasses from the aperitif remained on the table until the end... Nobody completely cleared the table in between.

Always happy to eat there again. Super delicious house iced tea and fine desserts.

As always, very good food, but what bothers me is that at 4.30 p.m. there is a reserved sign on all the tables and when you ask if everything is reserved, you are asked if you are eating, then you can sit down? , what if I just want something to drink? Wonder if they don't want any people at all, or just special ones. The staff is very friendly except for the waiter who, the last two times I was there, gave you the feeling, what do they want here. I just had to get rid of it now. I always thought the guest was king. With that in mind, I wish you all a nice holiday.

Very nice location by the lake, we booked double and single rooms, the rooms are nicely furnished and very clean. Breakfast buffet has a very good selection and the owner was always very friendly and accommodating. Our family enjoyed it very much. Thank you for the lovely stay.

We always enjoy coming here. Every food tastes great! The fine salad buffet is worth highlighting. Unique in the area. The prices are also ok, which cannot be said in the restaurant next door!

We eat here every now and then for lunch. The food tastes wonderful. In addition, the price-performance ratio is more than good.

We were traveling by bike and didn't have a reservation. But we still got a beautiful room. The whole hotel is highly recommended, but the service is outstanding! Beautiful location on the lake, a trip on foot up to Werdenberg Castle through the old town with the beautiful painted houses is also recommended!

We stayed here because we wanted to go to Lichenstein for a day trip. Booked two nights but stayed 3 because the place was so lovely. Staff, food, rooms and service first rate. Its probably technically a 3 star hotel but it felt 5 star because nothing was too much trouble. Restaurant was very warm and inviting. Lots of local type dishes as well as an amazing salad bar giving us healthy options we had missed. Buchs old village, the big lake and the castle all beautiful. Trip on the bus to Lichenstein and back easy and cheap. 8 weeks in Switzerland and Italy. This place in my top 3. Thanks so much.

We did not stay in this hotel, only ate at the restaurant. But, literally everything we tried here was incredible. What made it even better was the service. My German is not great, but I felt like the server delighted to take care of me. This was the first place we ate at on our Swiss vacation and it set the bar very very high. Definitely recommend! Oh, and the Panna cotta! Best deseret I've ever had. I'm typically a chocolate lover, but the wild berry Panna cotta topped anything I've ever tasted!

Delicious food. Service could be more attentive and sometimes friendlier. Unfortunately, some portions were a bit small. Disposable cups are used for the sauces - unfortunately that doesn't work for me.

I was here to take a dinner. The food was delicious, the service was professional for me (e.g. they served the food for us in a fire hot plate to keep the dish hot as last as possible). I bought a bottle from the local gin and the syrup, there are also good, but a bit expensive.

Unsympathetic employee. We went out for a drink and she kept coming to look and then told us we had to go because we had made a reservation. It's understandable, but the way she said it. I used to go there often as a child, now for the last time.

The best food in the region far and wide. Great price/performance ratio. Generous portions. Super friendly service. My favorite is beef fillet (bleu) with pepper sauce. Almost forgotten: large, fine and inexpensive salad buffet. Be sure to reserve a table - very well attended. Many thanks to the diving team for their great effort.

Because it was OK, fruit curry was moderately and extremely sour and the wrong rice with it, should have been basmati or sticky rice. Disappointing.

Food was great and so was the service.

At 2 p.m. an Indian/Pakistani monsieur started his duty. For a whole 30 minutes, the TV setting (he was there - just like us - a simple spectator of the spectacle) took his complete attention. Well. Although our shift starts at 2 p.m. for the middle class, it doesn't start as much for him. After 3 cups of very slow espresso, we were watched carefully, but even after the 4 (!!!!!) empty glasses were brought up, we had to snap our hands to draw attention to ourselves (we work in the restaurant ourselves, we know how shabby that is, but). less shabby than running after the staff when the restaurant is empty). AWESOME, NEVER AGAIN! I WILL EXPLICITLY MENTION THIS RESTAURANT AS SCARY IF THIS staff is retained.

The food and staff were wonderful. The Taucher Hotel Restaurant does an amazing job for the American Women's Club Thanksgiving dinner every year. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is exceptional! I recommend eating at the Taucher Hotel Restaurant. I look forward to dining here again.

Simply brilliant how the chef prepares the turkey for Thanksgiving AND at what reasonable prices. Fully fulfilled

The staff is very accommodating, whether by email or on site! We had a very comfortable bed and a clean room. Even late in the evening/early in the morning you can get into the hotel with the key and then into your room. We would like to come again! Many many thanks!

Not stayed here but have been coming for years and food is good quality and always well presented. Staff are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble. You are welcome just to come in for a drink and there is never a pressure to eat even if they are busy.

Very friendly staff, cooked something vegan for me, and as a cyclist I was given extra water and a banana when I left. There were drinks in the fridge that were included in the price, the room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The only disadvantage is that it is right on a busy street and you couldn't sleep or watch TV with the window open.

For me the best restaurant in Buchs SG. Good selection, fine food, every menu has something extra, very nice service. And the soft ice cream has the best caramel topping in the world. 🥰

We always enjoy coming to the Taucher restaurant: super fine food and always fresh and beautifully prepared (best Cordonbleu in the region!), friendly and attentive service, large selection @salad buffet and the perfect location by the lake! There is also fine peppermint syrup & Werdenberger Gin ;-)

There were 30 people and had a daily menu from the menu. Each of the 5 menus was super delicious. Service was perfect.

We had a coffee outside here one morning. Beautiful garden. The children's carousel is great for small children. Staff is very friendly. Restaurant opens very early.

Best surf'n turf there is in our area👌 I've eaten a lot of beef fillet, but none better or more tender than in the diver!

Good home-style food at fair prices. The giant cordon blues are highly recommended. Friendly staff and free parking right behind it.

I stayed in the diver for 3 weeks because of my job and it was a wonderful feel-good time! The staff made my stay very pleasant, the room was great and the food was top notch! The waitress at the delicious and varied breakfast buffet was super nice and in a good mood every morning. This is a good way to start the day! And in the evening the service was extremely nice and courteous. The menu leaves nothing to be desired and the diver has definitely understood that the eye always eats. I would give you 10 stars for the food alone! The studio room was large and equipped with a chef. Washing clothes was possible. The lovely waiter carried my heavy bag up to the roof for me. The surroundings are great, there is a cute little pond, mountains and a mini town with medieval charm and a castle to explore. All in all it was a wonderful time with you in Buchs, thank you for that and keep it up!

Price performance top and very good

Service is very friendly and the food is amazing. Own recipe for curry soup. Just awesome. Salad buffet extensive and delicious. Ate several meat menus and have never been disappointed. Rooms are exactly right for what they are made for. Sleep. Bed is excellent and the blanket is so wonderful. The shower has been renovated in (almost?) all rooms and has a wonderful rain shower for real relaxation. TV with lots of channels. BVN for Dutch Belgians.

Was there for lunch yesterday, friendly staff, clean restaurant and the food was great. I also bought a small bottle of home-distilled dry gin. Definitely something for gin lovers! There has been a small carousel on the terrace for decades, very popular with small children. My Gottameitli was definitely happy😊 and for a digestive walk after eating you can walk right around the beautiful little Werdenbergersee!

The restaurant is very delicious, we ate there most nights of our stay as we where so impressed with the quality of the food, flavors and service. We were there for lunch yesterday. We were able to get a spot on the terrace. The food was quite good. It was a little too salty for my taste. The service was very pleasant and attentive. All in all we will come back. Thank you for the lovely stay.

To our regret, we discovered that people with celiac disease are not really taken seriously here, despite prior information (explicitly stated when making the reservation). We were told that the kitchen was currently overloaded and that she couldn't ask that now. In my opinion this is called bad service. Something like this should always be clarified. In addition, we had to wait an hour for our food with a small child, while customers who arrived later had already had their food. Again concludes that the service is bad. So please take the time and train your employees on illnesses that should be taken seriously. If you don't move with the times, you move with the times. Even a good salad doesn't help anymore.

Das Hotel ist sehr gepflegt und nett eingerichtet. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch gibt es ein gutes vielfältiges Frühstücksbuffet. Im Restaurant kann man sehr gut essen. Einziges Manko ist die stark befahrene Straße. Ist Nachts bei offenem Fenster zu schlafen nicht ganz so gut. Ich kann es trotzdem wärmstens empfehlen.

Essen war super. Die Service Angestellte räumte ab bevor alle fertig waren mit dem Essen. Das störte uns ein bisschen. Wir werden aber wieder dort hin gehen es war sonst alles top.

Très bien mangé dans un cadre magnifique. Parking à proximité puis balade autour du lac, dans la vieille ville jusqu'au château.
