Thai Kitchen in Lachen

We visited the restaurant during the week for lunch. The food was excellent (red curry with duck) and I also find the decor/ambience pleasant.

The restaurant was very busy on a Monday evening - reservations recommended! Unfortunately, the service also came under pressure. The drink didn't come until after the meal, orders weren't fully booked and the chili we ordered didn't arrive. However, the ambience and the food were excellent.

Very good Thai, friendly service, excellent curry, you can tolerate Thai spicy well here, expensive drinks, comfortably furnished, conclusion: gladly again

We ordered takeaway and paid 60chf for 2 sweet and sour chicken. The portions were large, but the price/performance didn't convince me

We have been going there for many years now and we love it every time. The food is tasty and authentic and we are always happy with what we have. The staff is nice and the owner is always there and making it all happen. It is always full and that says a lot. We will come back again and again because when you feel like a good Thai, high end, at fair prices, there is no question. Thai Kitchen it is. Thank you for keeping the quality always a priority.

As always, top food! Tip to the boss. Hire more staff, otherwise your good waiter will run away from you.

We had the green curry and it was delicious, sweet and not too spicy.

Spring rolls and the two curries were delicious. Unfortunately, the Pad Thai was far too sweet and therefore hardly edible. The service was catastrophic and the waiting times (over an hour for the main course) were far too long. We would also have liked to order more drinks in the meantime if a waitress had come to us. The seating options inside and outside were also an imposition. All in all, a mediocre restaurant at best.

Delicious original Thai food in the heart of Lachen. Restaurant has a nice cosy terrace. The place is normally full in the evenings so I recommend to reserve.

Super deserved 5 stars! Refined and well-kept environment. Even though the place was almost full, you were able to converse without being disturbed by the other diners, thanks to the perfect soundproofing of the place. Composed, courteous staff with the right balance between composure and friendliness....for me, being Italian, it was truly surprising to be able to speak both English and Italian. Not least is the cuisine!, which offers various well-prepared Thai dishes with high quality raw materials and quick service.

One of our favorite Thai restaurants in th greater Zurich area. The service is super attentive and very friendly, and the owner is more than happy to make you feel welcome and have a spirited chat with you. The interior is very charismatic and culturally eclectic - you immediately feel transported into another world, like a mini vacation around the corner. The food is absolutely stellar, always arranged with love and attention to detail. Any friends we take there, they without fail always bug us to go there again. If you drive in from Zurich, you are also gifted with a most wonderful view of the Zurich lake and the panoramic view of the mountain ranges and Swiss alps (from the freeway). After dinner, take a quick stroll to the Marina of Lachen (5 min walk, 1 min by car), it's absolutely magnificent.

Very fast service, very attentive and very friendly. The quality of the food was very good, the taste was excellent and the portions of the main courses were so large that we had it packed and were fed up with it a second time. Highly recommended.

The red curry was delicious. The service was friendly. The starter salad was ok, but unimaginative.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the ambience and quality and the restaurant is highly recommended! Unfortunately there is a deduction in the price-performance ratio. Given the prices, you would like 2-3 more pieces of meat and a few fewer vegetables.

Best Thai curry I have ever eaten

The food was first class. The staff was completely overwhelmed with the full restaurant and terrace. The waiting time for the main course to arrive was 1 hour and 20 minutes. this evening which is far too long. Despite the many guests, the kitchen stuck to quality over quantity, which made it convincing. All in all a disappointing experience with a personal conversation with the owner. I hope you find quality and, above all, trained service staff as quickly as possible.

Due to the great reviews, we of course had high expectations in advance and yes, these were fully met. Behind the inconspicuous appearance there is a real gem. Great furnishings, a successful mix between traditional and modern. Super friendly and extremely attentive service, the guest is definitely king here. The meals were excellent. I've never been to Thailand, but the aromas and visuals immediately transported me to the Far East. The curry had just the right amount of spiciness and the portions are huge. Everything is just right here and we can definitely recommend the Thai Kitchen in Lachen.

The price is a bit expensive for a Thai, but also very tasty. Also nice ambience and friendly service. So I like to go there more often and can only recommend it. Also close to the marina and therefore suitable for a walk afterwards.

Lovely looking restaurant and atmosphere. Unfortunately the food was not good enough. The tempura prawns were mainly batter and undercooked. The pad Thai was made using spaghetti like noodles. Not enough flavour in the rest of the dishes. A real disappointment.

With Thai Kitchen Lachen, Frederic Urech and his team have created a cozy gem in which we like to feast and enjoy the rich and delicious Thai cuisine. Highly recommended!

Very nice Thai restaurant. We had a delicious meal in the evening, fresh ingredients, the meat and duck were delicious, and there were elegant wines on the wine list. Very nice service and the boss was friendly and kind, he took the time to show me the beautiful wine cellar. The journey from Zurich to Lachen was worth it!! I'll definitely come back!!!
