Big shoutout to the lady in the glasses, always friendly and helpful and the ginger haired girl who despite covering for someone who called in sick, still was smiling and friendly. A very welcoming place that seems very popular not just with tourists but locals too. If you're staying in Matten, don't miss it!

The staff are good and the service fairly swift too. There is a nice seating area outside the pub but as it's on a main road, it can get quite noisy with the local boy racers.I ate there twice, once for lunch and another for an evening meal. Had the Irish breakfast - generally ok but the bacon was cooked to a frazzle and the sausages were tiny chipolata size. The evening meal was much better, the burger was huge, well cooked, and tasted great. Yes the meals are expensive compared to some places in Europe but on a par with the rest of Switzerland and the area.
