The Flame Zug in Zug

Excellent, the steak was cooked to perfection. Great wines. At the Zug trade fair nearby. Greeted personally by the boss and cook.

Had the Tartar, which was juicy and just the right amount of spicy. Then a Zebra steak with the most interesting assortment of salts. It was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious, especially with the various different notes the salts added. The long wait for the hot chocolate cake was well worth it and it brought a fantastic meal to an end. Well worth the visit. Don't forget to ask the chef de Service for good wines!

We had an excellent meal this evening, perfectly grilled meat, side dishes just mmmmmhhhhmmmmm!!! Really beautifully designed plates, competent, friendly and attentive service. In our eyes, it easily outshines both the Meating and the Bahnhöfli in Mettmenstetten! We just felt comfortable.

Really good meat. Trust me, I am a barbecue pit master! Good staff, nice grilling skills. Only downside is that from the outside it looks like a sports club bar - there is a mismatch between outside looks and inside quality & prices. Other than that, good job and will be back.

We went on a busy night and service was very slow, but spicy ribs were fantastic

The entrecôte is nicely grilled and the pork ribs are done really well. The meat slides off the bones. The tartar is flavourful and definitely a must order for starter.

The waiter's daughter yelled at US because THEY apparently didn't speak together in the service and they wanted to collect money from us twice!! She said "I thought they paid for the table next door" even though NO ONE said anything about us taking over the table next door! And then the person who paid us for the round ordered another round and we've been waiting for this round for half an hour and that's 6x panaché. I hope other people aren't treated here like we were

The kitchen puts in a lot of effort and you can tell that the chef is still pursuing his passion. The service always makes the best of the situation. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I think it's AMAZING that there is something different on offer in Zug than what you're used to everywhere else. Zebra, elk, horse, bison, duck & ostrich e.g Young, up-and-coming team trying to get something going in Zug. Good service!

It was our first time at "The Flame" and we loved the food. We had the "classic burger", zebra and beef entrecote. Very tasty, cooked to perfection, stylishly prepared and served in a courteous and very friendly manner by the staff. Good advice and great atmosphere. Thanks !!

When you come into The Flame, which looks inconspicuous from the outside, you immediately feel at home. Nice atmosphere, great menu and friendly staff. The food was great, the meat was perfect. The selection of wines is also very good. All in all, a great evening with you. Keep it up. We'll definitely come back.

Good food, large selection of exotic animals, we weren't open enough to new things and decided on the Black Angus fillet, very good.. nice staff also with good input for the choice on the next visit ;-) Good ambience, great something out of one Club party was made. We'll definitely go again.

Neither crocodile, zebra, kangaroo nor water buffalo was on offer, which is why we went there - it was a joke - unfortunately there was only one burger - the place in front of EVZ Match was empty, which surprised us when we went in, but not when we left - January, still there many other restaurants in Zug

Friendly and well informed staff. The interior makes it feel very cosy. You can tell the owners spent a lot of time making it their own. Really nice quality meat, well prepared. Plenty of parking nearby and looks like there will be the option to eat outside on nicer days. Will definitely go again and support this great team

A few friends and I order the ribs (sweet and spicy) home. We are all thrilled!!! Super tender ribs, fine marinades and the bones come off by themselves! The portion is also impeccable!

Great food! Slow cooked ribs are really good. Cheesecake au extremely z recommend! So it was definitely missing for the train. Wiiter like that.

We wanted to give the restaurant another chance after being disappointed shortly after it opened. Unfortunately, things haven't gotten better, they've gotten worse. When we arrived our table was dirty. We ordered the zebra and the caribou. Both were ice cold and so well cooked that they could rival the name of a shoe sole. The toilets were also not cleaned sufficiently. To make matters worse, the service was so slow that we were late for an important meeting. That was definitely the last time in this restaurant. Never again!!!

We were able to enjoy an excellent evening at The Flame yesterday! The food, staff, ambience and service were excellent. I will definitely visit this place again in the future.

We expected a little more from a newly opened restaurant. The interior design and decoration didn't look professional, from the outside you had to look closely to see if you were standing in front of the right restaurant. The starter was very good. However, the beef fillet looked like it had already been cut open twice to see how done it was and the cheddar croquettes were, in my opinion, very tasteless. The meat wasn't seasoned and you didn't get any herb butter or anything like that. The waiting time between courses was a little longer than in other restaurants. The waitress then offered us a coffee, which we gratefully accepted. When the bill came and it was still charged, we told the Chef de Service about this. He then said that a temporary worker would not have to decide this. Then took it off anyway. For the 150.- that we consumed, the waiter (Chef de Service) didn't even say a nice goodbye after collecting the money, no, he walked away from the table without a word.

Spontaneously discovered the restaurant Flame 🔥 before the EVZ match. Young, professional team, delicious menu. Just the thing before a match. I felt very comfortable. For me, the place where I meet up with my friends before a match.

Lack of service or not... the first visit was a sentence with X. Table dirty, not cleared despite advance reservation. We had to put together the drinks ourselves from the previous guests. We cleaned the table ourselves. After about an hour we received the drinks. Receiving an elbow to the head from the waiter. Service staff were disoriented, scatterbrained and stressed. One meal came out wrong despite being corrected twice. What was good were the spare ribs, the vegi burger and the cheddar croquettes. The fish was a little too well done and the ostrich fillet was too streaky. Beer and coffee cream were expired. I was looking forward to this place nearby, but I won't be going there again. Unfortunately, a planned nice evening began with frustration

Opening night was a hit! The water Buffalo tartare was amazing. It was also my first experience eating zebra… it was out of this world! Good vibes, amazing kitchen, and lovely waiting staff. If you want steak in Zug look no further. Unmatched quality!
