We were told by the saleswoman that a bowl is not coffee!!!??? When ordering, the first saleswoman was super friendly. We wanted the offer croissant with coffee for 5.50. I asked if I could also have the lye croissant and she confirmed and asked us which coffee. We sat down inside and were greeted warmly by the manager. But everything went wrong when paying because the second saleswoman said that the offer was not valid because we had ordered a bowl and not coffee. We were a bit perplexed, whereupon she asked if we knew the difference between coffee and a cup. So we started discussing the word coffee as a generic term and refused to pay the full, almost double price because we didn't see “our” mistake. The saleswoman said, still ashamed, that everyone can have their own opinion about what they think coffee is. We asked to speak to the manager and then explained that the promotion was only valid until 9 a.m., so we saw the reason and paid the full amount only to be said goodbye again by the saleswoman with a smug grin and she confirmed again that yes would be right and a cup is not coffee. Unfortunately, this behavior spoiled our great, friendly morning, which is actually a shame because it all started so nicely

Once and never again, they have no idea what a customer is! Hard to beat in terms of arrogance! Excessive prices!

Avoid this place. I had a Latte Macchiato (takeaway) for the second time from here, today. - even for Basel, the price is expensive. - Lids and takeaway cups are such low quality that cups burn your hands and lids don’t fit. - service- poor- served by a child. When he saw the lid didn’t fit, instead of helping me, he asked me to move aside so the counter area would look pretty for the next customer. - coffee- poor. Far more foam than coffee, more like a cappuccino. This place is all ‘style but no substance’- high in price, low in quality. Sutter Begg or Spettacollo are far better, in my opinion.

Very nice location. Delicious coffee and croissants. Super nice people who work there. I'm a fan of paper napkins. Since I liked the big red napkins, an employee immediately sold me a pack 👍. Wow. Super sweet. 🙂🤗Definitely have to try the Valaisanne Zwickel beer. Maybe it's served on a large red paper napkin instead of a beer mat😁. It's a shame that you can't rate the napkins with (5) stars 😁.

Today we were at the station for the first time for an after-work aperitif. Price performance is totally ok and the location at Aeschenplatz is very central and easily accessible. To accompany our drinks, the waitress gave us a free aperitif plate with juicy ham and snacks without being asked. We were very pleasantly surprised and would love to come back. Great nice service

Well, I was passing by and decided to get an espresso after I have seen the machine...it was a mistake. the double espresso was like a filter coffee. I could not drink it. service was nice, maybe I was just unlucky..

A beautiful store to enjoy and shop. Here you can get wonderful Christmas presents that definitely won't collect dust! Very friendly host who offered me an excellent Petit Arvine. I will gladly come again!
