Unfortunately we were not able to taste the food offered, the service was very long and we left. The waiters paid no attention and we waited more than 20 minutes for them to come and take our order…

We had breakfast there. The ambience is nice and the location next to the train station. The breakfast was nothing special. But what was worst for us was the service. And served Mrs. Grossniklaus and you could really tell how we were being ignored. When asked, she always reacted in a stressed manner. Half of the food was forgotten to be brought and when we took a little longer to pay there was an impatient sigh. It's a shame because the food isn't cheap…

A charming restaurant conveniently situated next to Bern's train station. 🇨🇭 🚂 🍽️ Offers tasty food, great coffee and attentive staff. The cozy couch corner is a favorite, so securing a seat there can sometimes be a challenge. ☕️ 🛋️

We visited the vegan wine and dine at toi et moi. The wines were very tasty and the explanations from the winemaker were interesting, as well as a cozy atmosphere and a friendly waiter. But about the food: Nice idea to serve a vegan 5-course menu. But unfortunately it felt more like a substitute product tasting. I dare say that the salmon variations, the temphe and the vegan caviar were bought. The caviar and some of the salmon substitute products were not edible and the "marinated(?) tempeh" was unfortunately very bland. Everything that was included and freshly prepared in the kitchen was very tasty. The dessert was also delicious, but you can't go wrong with a store-bought vegan Magnum on a stick and some cooked berries on the side. It's a shame it wasn't cooked fresh and a little more imaginatively vegan. I definitely expected more from the restaurant.

A quiet place to treat yourself to a fine meal. The small menu after the lunch service is also filled with delicacies to enjoy. The friendly service impresses with attentiveness. Always my pleasure.

Today, we reserved a table for 6 pm, eagerly anticipating a pleasant evening. Unfortunately, the service drastically tarnished our experience. Our waitress, notable for her lush eyelashes, was impolite. She gave us a scornful look for ordering only wine and an appetizer, showing surprise and dissatisfaction at our decision not to have main courses. We had informed the restaurant when booking that we planned to only have drinks. It was exceedingly difficult to capture the waitress's attention to order or to pay, feeling as though we were deliberately ignored. When we requested the bill, she openly displayed a very dissatisfied grimace. Furthermore, she had the audacity to prompt us to choose the tip amount on the terminal while paying. The restaurant boasted a cozy atmosphere and delicious food, but the service was deplorably poor. This visit left us with an extremely negative impression.

The service was very friendly and the restaurant is nice. Unfortunately it was also quite loud because there were so many guests. The price-performance ratio isn't quite right for me. The food is good but quite expensive. You also pay for the location and the fact that it is close to the main train station.

The meal was okay. Unfortunately the conditions were unfriendly and cold. You didn't feel welcome.

We were there to have a drink together. After waiting almost a quarter of an hour for three drinks, the order came, and the waitress tipped the Cola bottle over the table and one of our jackets. Milk was also spilled from the hot chocolate. Such a mishap can happen, but the response to it has been disappointing. The tablecloth and jacket had soaked up the Coke, which was apparently enough for the waitress because she made no attempt to clean it and mumbled an apology before going back to replace the Coke. We pointed out to her that the milk was also spilled so she replaced the saucer with a fresh one, milk was not refilled.

The place is very nice, the interior is cute and beautiful at the same time! I had hot Chamomile Tea, my friend had a Hot Chocolate. Dessert was a melted chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. We were enjoying our time until it was the time to pay. Because we are allowed only around 20-30 minutes to sit there, understandably, the premise was full and our table was already reserved. Our cake took longer than we were expecting, and we decided just to pay and go. The waitres came and I told her that we did not have the cake so if we had to go lets leave it. I tried to speak in Hoch Deutsch and I understand if I needed to explain it again since German is not my mother tongue. Not because I am stupid! What I did not expect was the reaction of the server, instead of asking me what did I mean with WORDS, she said: Heehhh? That is it. Never again!

Thommy Salad Sauce? Ketchup? The food is really sad and the service was partly very rude and partly friendly. Definitely not worth the time

Today we were guests with a group. The food tasted great and so did the ambience. The service was also friendly. There are deductions for: - The portions were scarce enough. The salad in particular was rather small. - Some portions were almost swimming in sauce and others had almost none apparent. - Even though we had/had to pre-order the entire menu, we waited too long for and between courses. - In addition, some people only got their main course (the same one) when others were almost finished. - It also took us a good 30 minutes for the wine until someone accepted the request and it was served.

The vegetarian option is quite disappointing. Pasta with cream with some cherry tomatoes on top, served with cheese. After the tomatoes were eaten, they were pretty tasteless. My colleagues received more vegetables with their meat dish...

Yesterday morning we had a very nice moment, everything was OK, only one thing bothered me: my black chair cushion didn't have enough hair and was stained. I would advise you to change the color. But I'll still come back (laughs)

Nice location. Friendly staff. Food was good. However vegan food is completely overpriced. The CHF 28.00 for the Buddah bowl aren't even close to justified. You get 3 falafel, 100g of quinoa, some salad and vegetables. You might want to rethink the pricing on this...

The food, ambience and service are actually good but the rip-off prices are absolutely not. The overpaid money will probably end up directly in the pocket of the rip-off owner(s). Therefore: eat equally well elsewhere for the same price (unless you like to throw money out the window).

1L of water costs 10chf!! So for 2L it's already 20chf.. way too expensive. In addition, the service is not very friendly. Don't come back.

Food was ok. The service worked well. Unfortunately, what really bothered us as a group was that we had to pay for the lunch menu for everyone who registered, even though two people were absent at short notice due to illness! Unfortunately, the restaurant was unable to accommodate us (e.g. half the price for the 2 uneaten menus)!

Very arrogant service with a lot of silicone

The waiter who took the order was very nice and helpful. Another gentleman brought us water for coffee without greeting (!), and we later found out that this was the managing director. The small breakfast didn't want to come and didn't want to come, when we asked and said the coffee was getting cold we got a very flippant answer - from the manager. It's a shame, otherwise a very nice restaurant but this is an absolute no go!

Very nice atmosphere, the service was good and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I also think the price/performance ratio is absolutely reasonable - the menu comes with a small soup and a salad. It also tasted very good. The waiting time wasn't long either, even though the restaurant was busy at lunchtime.

It was always full every time I passed by. It was a bit difficult to make a reservation because it was in front of the station. I ended up having a seat today~~^^ The lunch menu~wasn't bad~~salad, soup, were all good~~but I had to wait a long time for everything because the number of people served was a bit small compared to the number of customers~~;;; I understand it's because it's busy during lunch. It's a good idea to use it if you're taking the train to another place or don't have much time. It must be quick because it’s in front of the station~~Nonono~~^^;;; I recommend using the garden when the weather is nice~~♡♡

Beautiful restaurant in a central location, creative and loving furnishings in a Bernese generation house. However, the situation is being milked extremely financially - for breakfast, very average products at high prices. In addition, very (!) long waiting times with massively understaffed staff. Unfortunately, employees weren't really friendly given the poor working conditions.

While the food is actually always very tasty, it is unfortunately always very expensive. Even by Swiss standards! When you pay that much money, you don't want to go home hungry. Today was particularly disappointing: when we pointed out that the main course was very scarce, unfortunately there was no reaction from the waitress, only the question was whether we wanted dessert. I find that pretty cheeky. In general, I have had the experience often enough at Toi et moi that the staff is rude or inattentive. Probably also because of understaffing! In the evening we were given e.g. For example, an employee at the entrance told us rather harshly that there were no more desserts, even though it was only 8:30 p.m. Then when we asked the person who served us, desserts weren't a problem. The ambience and the delicious food would actually be great, but the rest leaves a queasy feeling. Too bad!

There were five of us today for August 1st brunch. The space was very generous. Not crowded. Despite the size of the restaurant and the many guests, you could have a good conversation and it was never loud. The service was very attentive and friendly. The time slot for brunch was ideal. The buffet selection was great. All in all recommended. We'd love to come back.

Very fine food, absolutely the highest quality and everything fresh. Very nice atmosphere, with style but not too posh.

Restaurant with a beautiful romantic garden. They eat well and cook with love. The team is attentive, especially the English waitress who speaks Spanish. The friendliest and kindest person in Bern. He knows how to understand the way of being and what a Spaniard looks for when he goes out to eat. I recommend it!

Invisible as a guest. Walked past us for a long time without asking us if we wanted anything. Instead, there was a long chat at the counter by 4 service staff. As if we were invisible, the waitress goes first to ask the guests who have just arrived if they would like anything.

I've been to Toi et Moi twice so far and unfortunately I'm still not convinced. The service was very friendly and the location is beautiful (both inside and outside), but for me the price-performance ratio is not right. The food is tasty, but nothing special.

Great drink and Victoria's mega service! I recently went to the Toi et Moi restaurant and I have to say, the drink was amazing! Simply delicious! And Victoria was super friendly and attentive. Great store, I'll definitely be back!

Nice ambience, great location right next to Bern train station, reservation recommended, a bit noisy, doesn't allow for confidential conversations. Food good.

Quite expensive. One burger, one veggie tagliatelle, 2 glasses of Chasselas cost me CHF 80. Foods are ok but nothing really special. Good dining environment. The restaurant is just next to the Bern Hbf therefore it’s very convient to travelers.

Very happily surprised to by accident drop in to this restaurant which has really good food! Service was good as well. Very crowded and noisy, hence only 4 stars.

House rules about dogs are simply not up to date and cheeky... Unfortunately I couldn't find any rules about children and adults? Who says that a small dog is "calmer" than a big one? Do I understand correctly that every guide dog (Labrador) is banned? The rules have nothing to do with "dogs are welcome". So dear Toi et moi, either you say yes to the dog and otherwise please leave it alone.

Delicious food but long wait and poor customer service I recently visited Toi et Moi and I have to admit, the food was really delicious! The cafe has a nice atmosphere and I enjoyed the meal. But I also have to say that I was disappointed by the long wait for my coffee and by not being greeted immediately. The staff didn't respond until I said hello. I believe that customer service is an important part of any business experience, and it is important that staff work proactively and efficiently to meet customers' needs. However, in this case this was not the case. Although I really enjoyed the food, I hope that in the future the staff at Toi et Moi will work to improve their customer service to ensure that customers are served quickly and efficiently.

Food was good, and special atmosphere. Mehmet provided an extraordinary and very special service. We felt really well taken care of. If it wasn't for Mehmet, there would not be 5 stars.

One of the worst experiences in restaurants... I went to dinner with my partner after the spa on the occasion of my birthday. The gift that I was looking forward to finally redeeming - I was later sorry that I had used it. The relaxation of the spa was destroyed! The service was ok. Their superiors not at all. Instead of taking care of the guests present, the tables were prepared for the coming day. Not parallel - instead. During the starter we were asked whether we wanted coffee at the end otherwise the machines would be turned off now. My burger was raw despite please frying the meat. He was then warmed up. Which is why the bun was completely soggy on the bottom. The question about dessert on the way home was answered with a gruff: “The kitchen is closed.” Many more disappointments later… We ended up being hustled out an hour before the advertised closing time. Since I had only ever had a drink before - and that was always ok - I wrote to the restaurant. The message has remained unanswered to this day. No explanation. No apology. Juicy prices - lousy treatment - poor food. Not an appealing combination! That's why I won't go there anymore. I enjoyed my next birthday in a relaxed manner.

Actually a nice restaurant right at the train station. The atmosphere is very nice. However, the staff is just not up to scratch. Inattentive, not thinking (you have to actively ask for the menu after the first drinks you asked for were not offered). This is probably how the rumor about the “Switzerland service desert” arose.

I didn't find the atmosphere particularly inviting. Our table was very dirty, we cleaned the table ourselves because apparently there weren't enough staff. I think the prices are a bit too high for a restaurant that offers more or less self-service.

Unfortunately it was a disappointing visit. The staff feels overwhelmed or outnumbered. There was no one at the reception for a little too long, the friendliness and courteousness of the waiters left something to be desired. Unfortunately, the food and the mussels weren't edible either, but at least the chef asked what exactly was wrong and gave good explanations and apologies and gave us a dessert on the house. But because nothing happened on the service side for 15 minutes (not even the dessert menu was handed over), we decided to leave. Then at least we were treated to drinks. All in all, the staff remained friendly, but it was a disappointing visit. The Cordon Bleu was good and the ambience is nice. Maybe it was just a one-time blip of unfortunate coincidence and it hit exactly us...

Pleasant atmosphere and very interesting wine list.

Ambience very interesting We were there on Friday and every seat was taken and was filled again as soon as it was free. This made it relatively loud and you often couldn't understand what you were saying. I would like to eat there on my next visit during the week to appreciate the inside of the restaurant. Unfortunately, the toilets aren't great for people with walking disabilities - it's quite complicated and has stairs/steps.

A little expensive, otherwise perfect

The brunch itself was very tasty, you can order unlimited eggs etc. and there is a good selection of different things like yogurt, fruits, rösti, meat... not overwhelming but good. The service was also quite friendly. The price is unfortunately very high at 52.-, which unfortunately put me/us off coming there again :( That's why the 2 stars. If the price was right it would be 4 for me.

Brunch on Sunday. It's a shame that there were no fresh rolls, sweet baked goods, pancakes or waffles with maple syrup or freshly squeezed orange juice. Ready-cut fruit partly dried. Strong smell of urine in the men's toilet. Price -50 CHF - unreasonable.

This restaurant is an insider tip! Hidden in a courtyard, the cozy garden invites you to linger. Inside, the restaurant immediately captured our hearts, because the very beautiful and stylish interior convinced us to stay. Suitable for young and old. Food is of high quality, something for the eye and the palate. We will definitely come again.
