Welcoming staff and very good pastries

Hello, I just had a coffee + a croissant in this essential establishment on the Place de Gravson in Thônex. Two customers inside and one on the terrace, I wait for one of the waitresses to order, but they are very busy chatting among themselves.... After finally being served, one of them decides to sweep next to me, moving tables and chairs. So I kindly ask him to postpone the cleaning once I have finished my coffee. But she tells me that I don't have to advise her on her work. In short, I was the unpleasant customer. I'm not sure that this reflects a high quality of service and professionalism. The best bakery in the neighborhood in my opinion, the croissants are better than at A. Pougnier or at la panière (gaillard). Good value for money, lots of choice for savory and sweet.

When we suggest “5 pastries bought, the 6th free”, well, we do it! It's super annoying to have to systematically ask for it and, even more so, to be blown away when you dare to ask for it. It's not very urban....!

A suitable place to help out if you are short of ideas for lunch. The savory was good, as was the pastry. Coffee, not great (lots of water). The service left something to be desired, we didn't want to stay there forever.

With colleagues, we discovered this quiet and very nice little place, the food is excellent and the staff are very pleasant. The homemade burger is delicious. The daily specials are varied and the products are fresh. A good place for lunch...

I really like the welcome, in terms of pastry I liked everything I ate. Once, I was lucky enough to have a pain au chocolat straight out of the oven, suffice to say that it was just incredible. Unfortunately this is not often the case. It can quickly get noisy. On the other hand, everyone is super friendly, from the service to the reception to the customers.

The good thing in this bakery is the terrace, beside the sweet products. There is a good space around. When the Sun is shining it's perfect corner to have a coffee at the terrace. Need to pay more attention at WC.

In case you're looking for burger buns, don't look anywhere else. They are pretty yummy. (Need to pre-order them, but it's worth it !)

It saddens me that this nice t room, which benefits from a magnificent terrace and which is supposed to close at 8 p.m., closes its terrace at 6 p.m. when it is the young ladies who are working. Summer is still here, we can't even enjoy it, too bad. The gentlemen are much friendlier and more cheerful, I thank them for that!

I ask for a sandwich, I pay, they don't look me in the eyes, I say thank you, they don't say it to me in return and I say have a good day, they don't wish me in return.. At the asking price they should have paid for education courses and good manners for their young sellers, it was empty so no excuse. Fortunately the sandwiches are good but I wouldn't go back to Laba, I came from Eaux-Vives to try it but in the end I would have a dessert in my neighborhood. Good but very bad service.

You were our coffee for Sunday snack after the swimming pool and the waitresses who were there from November 2019 to June 2020 were exceptional for their kindness and their patience towards young children. Quality products a little expensive on the food side, but if you take the breakfast options before 11 a.m. it is very advantageous. Why only 2 stars is because yesterday morning we came to have breakfast on the terrace with my child, a lady kindly left her table for us because she was leaving. Not having a QR reader I note myself on the sheet. The waiter comes and takes our order. I ask him to give me something to clean the table, because he was unable to do so because we had taken the table before he saw that it had become available. I asked him twice to do it and he did not manage to prioritize his orders even though the terrace was not full due to the light showers. I don't blame him for that because I am also a waitress in Annecy A few years ago I couldn't help but see that he was in the juice and all alone. Too bad it will take me a while to come back as a group with the moms from the pool and our children.

Excellent establishment, the bread is wonderful! I passed by several times even though I don't live nearby. The atmosphere in the team is great and the staff are always smiling and attentive. We can’t wait for the terraces to reopen so that we can have lunch in the sun!

Very poor welcome, yesterday we went to the bakery to get some fresh juice and pastries, we realized that it was close to closing, so I still asked if it wasn't too late to serve a fresh juice, to take away of course. But the look of the person who served us (brunette, curly hair) and despite her mask we saw that she was very upset and not happy at all to serve us. We would have preferred that she told us that it was too late to serve us, rather than serve us in her unpleasant conditions.

Old-fashioned pastries: which don't dry out in 2 hours, which are crispy until the evening and which are really good. The bread is very good too. Sometimes the service is excellent and sometimes, a little less, but generally speaking, it's a bakery to which we return with pleasure!

At the end of the day, they sold me an extremely hard loaf of string. When cutting it, the knife slipped sideways on my finger, thank you for this quality bread!

Sunday at around 4:30 p.m. I go to this bakery 1 to 2 times a week, I have a drink there and leave with some pastries, nothing to say about that, the pastries and sandwiches are good Now regarding the reception, it leaves something to be desired! I don't know if she's the boss or not, in any case she doesn't wear white shirts like the others The behavior is not appropriate in sales dear madam we do not attack people and if you feel capable of taking orders then serve them on time and not 20 minutes later. I bought a salami sandwich. Disappointed, even very disappointed with the amount of salami and other ingredients inside. There were 4 slices (so thin that we could see them transparently) in the sandwich and a pickle cut into 3. Sad to sell this sandwich for 6.90 francs. I hesitated to remove everything and weigh the ingredients to send a letter to management. It's better to buy a wand and make it yourself.

Warm and pleasant welcome by the staff. There is choice and quality. The best bakery in Thônex in my opinion.
