Trübsee Self-service in Wolfenschiessen

I've had the annual subscription for 20 years now and this year I was able to redeem the voucher for the Trübsee restaurant. My intuition was confirmed as I haven't eaten there in recent years. The quality of the food leaves a lot to be desired: French fries over-salted, squeaky, stale and kept warm - the bottom is soggy. The staff at the checkout and at the clearing station were friendly and accommodating. Nevertheless, I recommend that everyone in the Engelberg ski area use a different gastranomic.

Please, I ate my food, the children's food was cold before they could have eaten it, but I saw a microwave in the open kitchen and acted. I thought no one would see it, but a woman from the staff noticed and said I could go wash the dishes when I was done, but I indicated that I don't wash dishes at home! But I think there is also a microwave at the cash registers, but it was far away. We had a good laugh about it after dinner. The food was delicious, it is true that it is expensive, but the bear up there is not a teddy bear either.

Amazing food, sexy chefs, incredible dishwashers. I really recommend the currywurst.

Self service food is terrible and over priced. I would expect to eat typical food and meat not Asian food, vegan food or chicken nuggets….

The bistro with an extremely special, non-skiing-compliant menu. Priced in the higher segment - scallops, Iberico fillet... but everything was very tasty

There is a new bistro restaurant that just opened close to self-service. It is one of the best places to eat ever in Engelberg. Perfect dishes , the best one oisters. Excellent atmosphere and service

Mass production at high prices. Fries cold and soggy. Hot dog, curry sausage and pork bratwurst are one and the same here... It's a shame for the beautiful location

Eat cold, a bratwurst is better at any festival!

Terrible service, exasperatingly slow, medium-low quality.

Good self-serve. Great staff. Hopeless for allergy needs. Prices quite reasonable (relatively). Views. Can handle large volumes. Toilets are down a flight of stairs.

Great place to have lunch - they have a huge terrasse when the weather is good enough. Yesterday (Friday), they even had live music around lunch time.
