We got engaged nearby and went in the Vis-a-vis to celebrate. The staff were SO rude to us when placing our order. This was by far the worst dinning experience we have ever had. It's somewhat paradoxical that I have to rate the service, atmosphere and food a one star as this is turning into a glowing review! We just had to out as quickly as possible. It was such an awkward experience that tainted the our special day to the point that 8 months later I am writing this review! We didn't leave a tip and the place stunk of sweaty cheese.

The Vis-à-Vis on the Gornergrat is really awesome! Dominik Adamantidis and the crew really impressed us with the food. From the baby spinach with truffle dressing to the pork belly cooked for 16 hours to the rösti, everything was super delicious. The service was great, super friendly and always there for us. My risotto was average, a bit bland and little in the plate, after a few bites the plate was empty. This should be improved. The service is impeccable and the view leaves nothing to be desired.

Reservations recommended but we (two of us) were able to get a table rather quickly. The menu is in several languages so that was helpful to us who only speak one language. Lots of traditional Swiss foods sourced locally. The barley soup was good but the garlic soup was amazing. It was served in a bread bowl and just bursting with flavor. If you are sitting inside you can order the Raclette. Lucky us, we were sitting inside. If you're not sure what raclette is, it is the process of melting cheese and scraping it off onto your food. Potatoes if you're in Switzerland. So we melted cheese and poured over little potatoes. What's not to love? Cheesy potatoes. All in all this was a wonderful lunch with an incredible view. Highly recommend.

Completely inedible food. I’m easy to please and this has been only the second time in my life that I had to return a dish to the kitchen (something I hate to do). The “meat soup” is a fatty supermarket maggi sauce and the poached egg wasn’t poached at all. The rosti was an absolute mess, sitting on top of a soup of fat. One person on our table ordered the pork cordon bleu and it simply smelled ROTTEN. I’m not even sure they have a professional cook in the kitchen. This place was one of the absolute worst culinary experiences I’ve had in my life. Avoid it at all costs.

I have visit your restaurant on 29 Dec 2022 11.30am order a hot drink, found a 2 seating table with a window facing Matterhone. Next to me there is another 2 tables which seated by Caucasian, with drinks only. Just after I finish my drink and then I was taking pictures on my parter with the view, 2 staffs (middle-age man and lady) came and ask me to leave the restaurant, in a very rude tone! Is not even an hour and only ask us to leave but not another 2 table clients. And I ask why they just said in English I want you to leave. How rude ! What is wrong here ? Generally Switzerland is a beautiful country and people I met here mostly are nice and polite, but these two are rotten apples, I think they deserve to to waiter and waitress forever, or worse Best regards and wishing your business can be sustain with this level of service standard.
