Very fine food, very large selection of fine menus. The Saison Cordon Bleu with wild garlic was amazing, as was the side dish of fries. The service staff was attentive, friendly and everything worked perfectly. We'd love to come back.

Our experience at Waidhof was absolutely outstanding, especially the pork cordon bleu, San Diego exceeded my expectations. The portion was generous, I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the 500g portion. The taste was exquisite and the preparation was perfect. The service was also first class; the staff was attentive and courteous, which made my dining experience even more enjoyable. The ambience of the restaurant adds to the overall experience - it's simply great. I can highly recommend the Waidhof and will definitely come back to enjoy more delicacies.

We went to Rest. Waidhof on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 for coffee and dessert with my wife and sister-in-law, which was recommended, everything was very good at Rest.Waidhof. The service was good.

Food: for me average. So salty. Service: friendly Mood: humble and cozy. Old fashioned but clean.

We were there for the first time. The service or operation deserves 10 stars. You only get this kind of attention in Germany, Austria or Thailand, excellent. We have never experienced such friendly service in Switzerland. The food was beautifully prepared, hot and good. The only negative, and due to the nature of the offerings, is that the frying oil is not changed frequently (daily). Fries, schnitzel and cordon bleu had that dark brown typical old oil color that was a shame. We can highly recommend the restaurant and we will definitely go back again.

Nice atmosphere and friendly service. The food (lunch menu) is ok, but not outstanding. Good price/performance ratio; limited selection of vegetarian dishes.

Small but fine rest. Very large selection of Cordonbleue, dogs are welcome, large outside "terrace" in summer and mostly very nice service, gladly again... 😀

Unfortunately it is no longer what it once was. Last time it wasn't really great, salad wasn't fresh, bread was dried out, plates were carelessly arranged. I reported this to Waidhof. The answer was special. I tried it again and not much has changed. Minimal salad, no bread had to be ordered with the salad. Again no lemon, this also had to be ordered. Ordering dessert without cream didn't work either. A pity.

The price increase is decent. Were in mid-January. The penultimate time was in October (unfortunately we don't know the prices anymore). We also found the portions to be smaller. Very fine and good quality.

The restaurant is nice and offers good service. The selection of cordon bleu is excellent and truly delicious. However, the portions are a bit small in relation to the price. Still recommended.

I've been coming here for years. I don't know of a better restaurant that prepares sooooo good Cordon Bleu's. World class, simply 10 out of 10 😋👍🏻!!

Had a fondue evening with colleagues and had a lot of fun thanks to the good selection of different fondues, including chili fondue. The food was very good, the service attentive and courteous. Great team in the restaurant. A successful evening, I can highly recommend it.

Best Cordon Bleu in Town! Beautiful atmosphere. The day we said goodbye to my Mom, we came here to have dinner. We choose this lovely Swiss Restaurant for of its traditional and gorgeous Atmosphere, and because it is the place we came when we said goodbye to my brother. We ordered their famous Cordon Blue, the Waidhof special with four type of Swiss Cheese and the Wild West. Both tasted ultimately amazing. My sister and brother-in-law both had a burger which they really enjoyed. Highly recommended for those who seek a local place in the country that offers delicious Swiss food.

The best Cordon Bleu restaurant I know. The service is not always perfect but you never have to wait long. I'd love to come back again and again.

Waiting too long for service.. Service with sunglasses, no eye contact, no ashtray offered, cards had to be asked of us and in the end we waited over 15 minutes for the bill, even though the service kept walking past us.. for such a restaurant, Disastrous service.. definitely not recommended

We have always enjoyed coming to the Waidhof for years. The high quality of the Cordon bleus is incredibly good and has been maintained for years. The staff is always friendly and the restaurant is in a quiet location. Please keep it up, we'll be happy to come back in the future. I can personally recommend the Cordon bleu “Waidhof”.

Rustic, pleasant atmosphere with a large outdoor area. There are also music events taking place outside, but then it gets crowded but the service has everything well under control. This place seems to focus on Codon Bleu, as a large selection of different options makes it difficult to decide which of the many options to choose. There was the “Waidhof Cordon Bleu” with 4 different types of cheese, ham and rösti. Nice and juicy and rich. Also the “Waidhof salad” with chicken or chicken strips, which was well seasoned. You could add your own salad dressing. Finally, espresso and ice cream. Everything was perfect, what more could you want.

Were here for the first time today. Ate super mega fine Gordon Bleu. Simply awesome... again and again. Great event

Very friendly Swiss German and German speaking staff. The food is good and in the medium to high price segment. The Cordon Bleu is very juicy and meaty, the shape is not very common. All in all, definitely worth a visit. Even if it is rather remote.

The food was great! The tartare as a starter was more of a main course, as big as it was. Plus it was super tasty! Then the Cordon Bleus. You can choose between different sizes from 180 g to 1 kg. Rarely have I had such a good cordon bleu! The homemade spaetzli are also great! The staff is also very friendly and accommodating! The price/performance ratio is great. I can recommend this restaurant with the best of my knowledge and conscience!

A gastronomic roller coaster ride! Hello dear food enthusiasts, I would like to share my experience at Waidhof with you - a fun mix of culinary delights and somewhat spotty service. Let's start with the positive: the food was really fantastic! The dishes were fresh and incredibly tasty. A truly tasty culinary orgasm! Kudos to the chefs who worked their culinary magic in the kitchen. But now to the other side of the coin: the service. The Waidhof could have some catching up to do here. I had to wait half a lifetime for the drinks. The bottle and the glass were simply placed in front of me, true to the motto “DIY thirst solution”. I briefly felt like an Olympic bartender, but unfortunately without a gold medal. And clearing away the dishes seems to be a bit of a mystery in the Waidhof. Because even though I saw the service pass by empty-handed numerous times, my dishes remained untouched on the table. It felt like my table was an art installation called “Still Life with Leftover Food.” Despite these small setbacks, overall I had a great time at the Waidhof. The food was truly delicious, and if you have a little sense of adventure, the service is like a rollercoaster ride - full of surprises! So, dear foodies, don't let a few quirks in the service put you off and definitely try out the culinary delicacies at the Waidhof. It will be a ride you won't soon forget! Good fork Joe

The unfriendly service person I have ever experienced. Showed absolutely no understanding or consideration for a child in a wheelchair. Because wheelchair accessibility could not/would not be guaranteed, we rescheduled the family celebration at very short notice.

They could get 5 stars if they used real ice cream instead of Nestlé or Langnese.

The food is good, but unfortunately the landlord has no interest in satisfied guests. First you wait in the blazing sun (he wasn't willing to move the mobile parasols) for 1.5 hours for the pre-ordered food and then he calls his guests mimosas when you ask for shade a second time. The service staff, on the other hand, was extremely friendly. Regarding your answer:: It confirms the impression left by the other negative recessions. The ability to take criticism is probably not one of her strengths. It's a shame, but good for the other restaurants in the area. I wish you all the best.

Service extremely nice and accommodating. Beautifully located on the edge of fields, meadows, forest and city. Food was quite greasy (even the salad) and more expensive than expected.

The best Cordon Bleu I've had to date 👌 Buttery tender and crispy. There is a large selection of Cordon Bleus. The selection ranges from standard to filled with banana and apricot. Something for every taste🤗 We will be back!

The breading of the cordon bleu was a bit strange. I was expecting a thin, crispy breading, but what I got was a thick, chewy, bread-like layer. The meat was also rolled (approx. 3 layers). Fries great, garnish a bit poor. Staff is nice, but orders were a bit mixed up.

Excellent atmosphere on the terrace. Amazing for warm spring and summer evenings. The food is also delicious, and there's a very wide variety of Cordon Bleus. Best of all, they're dog friendly, so it makes the restaurant a great spot to take a break during a walk through the forest or the fields.

Great Cordon Bleu!!! One of the best in Switzerland

The food was very good and the service was quick and attentive. We were dissatisfied with the place. The door opened and closed every minute, giving us a cold draft every time. When it got quieter, the ventilation was turned on, and then it got even colder. I came home cold. The space next to these wooden sticks was poor. We actually reserved early and expected more.

We wanted a group of 6 people to visit the rest on Wednesday at around 10 p.m. Unfortunately the rest was closed when according to the website it is open until 11 p.m.
