We are regularly in Waldegg. It is consistently good and the price/performance ratio is simply right.

The food was an absolute dream! A really large portion of chicken with herb butter and potato gratin. Plus a "small" mixed salad with homemade salad dressing and fresh rolls.

Miserable service and no hospitality from Ms. Liechti. I personally can't recommend it to anyone.

Nice location, cozy atmosphere, small children's corner with Mario kart and drawing station to keep the kids busy. The meringue coup is very large but also delicious, the food was also very tasty.

Your own salad dressing is awesome. All the dishes I've eaten so far are great. Very good offer. Enough parking spaces. Wonderful view. A visit here is worth it.

Great restaurant with good food and super attentive service! Actually worth a recommendation. But…: We ordered a garnished sausage and cheese salad with a large portion of fries and one schnitzel fries, with vegetables instead of fries! When we paid at the end we found out that this change from fries to vegetables costs a whopping CHF 9 more!!!! Okay, if there are nice vegetables on it instead of fries, you might be able to charge a small surcharge. But 1. you mention it when you order and 2. you feel a bit ripped off at 9.-! If something like that goes into the small print category... it's a shame!

Had lunch on the way through without a reservation. Were served very friendly. Food came quickly and was super tasty, large portion (game). We also have a children's menu, and the play area is great for little guests! Will definitely come back!!

Great restaurant with excellent food! We were greeted very nicely and felt very comfortable. The ambience is very nice. The service staff was very friendly and accommodating. Various special requests regarding the menu were also implemented without any problems. Unfortunately there were long waiting times (between courses and until the bill could be requested). This wasn't a problem for us, so we were able to digest something in between 😉 The food was super tasty and very nicely prepared! We'll definitely be back.

My favorite restaurant on the route over the Ricken and on the way to the stone shop! 🥰 Always in a good mood, someone behind the bar is singing a children's song... the boss asks if it tastes good..., the toilets are beautiful and very stylish, there are lots of homemade specialties: delicious nut croissants made from puff pastry, meringues and former carrot heads (new German: Foam kisses) - but first the food! The salads are freshly harvested (at least that's how they taste!!), each dish is prepared by an expert in his field!! I licked every spoonful of the pumpkin 🎃 soup above, ok, in the end I almost couldn't finish it 😂! Even if we just come for coffee, always good service, always nice people! A place to feel good! A foodie paradise! 😋😋😋👍

Very good restaurant, usually very busy. It's worth making a reservation for a visit, preferably about a week in advance. The cuisine is known to be excellent.

The food was good, the service was very slow and a bit chaotic. We waited a very long time until we could finally order the starter and main course. When we wanted to pay for our table at the checkout, we had Chateaubriand on the bill, which we didn't eat. The second bill wasn't ours either. The 3 was correct! We won't come anymore!!

I heard a lot about this restaurant and how good it was. Yesterday, I finally tried it out myself and was not disappointed. I had a calf steak with a side you can choose, e.g. rice, noodles, fries. It included already vegetables, as you can see in the picture. From the amount of food it is more than enough. I did not order any starters, and fortunately I did not, because I would not have been able to eat it all. For a dessert I took an ice cream.

Great location with a nice sun terrace. Service is friendly and prompt. There are still real Swiss dishes to eat, such as meatloaf! In front of the restaurant there is a display of fruits and vegetables from local farmers. Be sure to try the must. Is the best around!

We spent a thoroughly enjoyable evening in Waldegg on the occasion of a birthday. Our wishes and concerns were addressed courteously when we made the reservation. The location, the attentive service, the food (19 different plates were served at once), the price-performance ratio, everything completely convinced us. Special requests were addressed immediately. We would consider this restaurant again at any time and definitely recommend it.

Tuesday 1:15 p.m., on the terrace, 2 tables free, many guests at dessert. Service staff repeatedly walk past without paying attention to me. After several minutes of asking for the card, I was sent away because I didn't make a reservation. They don't need it, there's another way to be hospitable.

Spontaneous stop while driving over the Ricken. At first there was a table with street noise, but a better table became available and we were allowed to change. The food was very good, the service was very friendly and accommodating; the service staff have eyes everywhere and help everywhere. Gladly again and again! Highly recommended.

Very nice, modern restaurant right on Rickenstrasse. Large window fronts, a bar and a garden restaurant. Ideal for a stopover. Service was very friendly and quick. Within the restsurant there is a “marketplace” or the opportunity to buy drinks and snacks, as well as small souvenirs (honey, chocolate, etc.).

Delicious ice cream and nice service!

Try it! The first impression is deceiving, looking like a highway stop. Truth be told also inside it has the charm of a Raststätte. However, service is down to earth and the food is solid and of high quality. This is a no frills experience but checks all the right boxes and comes in at a slightly better price than your would expect. Definitely ask for the septate dessert card and try the "Natur Yoghurt" ice cream.. Update 2023: still love it

Anyone who drives past here without stopping is missing something. However, you should make a reservation or be there by 1130 a.m. if you still want to get a place to eat.

Always happy. There again for dinner on January 29th, 2022, great again. The restaurant was full, but the staff kept an overview and provided great service. THANKS On 03/23/22 again mmmhhm simply GOOD. Of course always for lunch and of course for ice cream. Great again for dinner today, March 23rd, 2023. Waldegg my favorite.
