Walter Buchmann «Shopville» in Zürich

No understanding for people who don't eat pork. I picked up a “too good to go” package. Normally everyone understands if they don't eat pork. There were a total of 6 bags prepared and there were enough rolls in the display cases, but I still couldn't change my bag. They were also extremely unfriendly and unmotivated. NO THANKS!!!!! I'm sure I won't be going shopping there anymore.

Bought on February 6th, 2024 in the evening I took a cheese sandwich with a slice of bread, the bread was very dry and the cheese was also old. That's not normal in a bakery. I never buy old things in the bakery again and I have to throw the sandwich away and it cost 6.50 francs. It's a shame I just threw money in the trash. Unfortunately only 1 star for everything.

Wonderful cappuccino with oat milk. One A! Best coffee on HB. The service was absolutely courteous and warm and all the food I've tried so far has been very good! Except for the Grittibenzen (not vegan), I can't really recommend them.

Far too few croissants in the morning, from around 9:30 to 10:30 there are often no more croissants when I'm at the front and they don't make any more in the morning!!! A cheeky thing like that as a bakery that only has money on its mind and wants to sell more expensive pastries instead of satisfying the customer!!!!! It would be better to let the internal Migros take over the bakery, it would definitely run 100% better!

The coffee price suddenly went from 5.00 fr to 6.20 fr. It's way too expensive now.

Bread in my sandwich was old :(

I was very surprised at the negative reviews. Well, the prices, yes, like almost everywhere in the city, are very high. I think the sales staff 👍, all of them, my pastries are always delicious and fresh. I give a smile and get it back and all just after 6 hours.

I have shopped here several times in the last few months: the selection is good and also tasty. I don't find the staff to be very friendly and, as a customer, I feel like they're a disruptive factor in their work. I always thought the prices were high, but now they have increased from Fr. 7 to Fr. 8 for a piece of Wähe, for example. This is really my limit for paying so much for a product like this. I would like to visit other bakeries in the future.

Came here to pick up too good to go. They very spontaneously changed the time to pick up. The staff could also have left bags there but they closed earlier than they should and claim they have to catch the train. Very unpleasant and unfriendly. The worst experience in Zurich.

I bought a bacon croissant today. Bought for about CHF 5.50 (I can't remember exactly because I paid with a card, but it was UNEDIBLE! I had to bite it twice and stir it away... BUCHMANN NEVER AGAIN. AVOID THIS BAKERY

Hey everyone, you actually have a good offer, but unfortunately I have to give one star for the hygiene faux pas reported below: I would be happy to pick up your too good to go packages. This was the case again last month (09.01.2022). (Branch at the main train station, at 8:30 p.m.). An employee was sweeping behind the counter with a broom and a dustpan. First, she wore her mask at the bottom of her chin. Something like that just doesn't work in these Corona times, especially not when you're within a drop of fresh food. Seeing that just really annoyed me. We all wear our masks at work for 8 hours. Why the other employees didn't ask her about putting on the mask properly is a mystery to me. Secondly, and this almost annoyed me even more: She saw me waiting, scraped up dirt in the shovel with her bare hands, rearranged it and then turned to me. Then she handed me the too good to go package. The other employee, who didn't clean and wore her mask properly, didn't serve me. I just do not understand. Especially in a bakery store where you are constantly touching food with your bare hands, it is absolutely clear that your hands are washed properly at least once between cleaning up the trash and working with sandwiches! I also don't mind waiting for the other employee to serve me (but there wasn't a rush at the moment). But something like that just doesn't work. There was a bare pretzel in my package. I hope it wasn't packed up by the same employee after first touching the dirt with her bare hands. Actually I should have said something, but firstly it is not my job as a customer to do this and secondly I might reach the upper floor sooner. I hope this doesn't happen again.

Amazing vegan donuts! Simply with sugar or filled and glazed. Filled they have chocolate, passion fruit and strawberries jam. I make my way all the way through Zurich just for those :)

I could not find it in HB and had to run for the train, but I know the Bürli are fine

Large selection of everything. Fresh, very nicely presented.

It's now the second time that I've been sold rolls from the day before - that's an absolute disgrace. The bakeries don't have to be surprised if you buy the baked goods in the discount store, because the baked goods from the previous day are stored separately there and are offered cheaper. I won't buy any more rolls at Buchmann, the rolls at Aldi are 1000x better and at least from the same day.

The store prices in ShopVille are gigantic. This also explains the sometimes utopian price of CHF 6.50 for a loaf of bread. I miss the Bürli bread! The delicious breads are always a treat for the palate. The salads are also rich and varied, in stark contrast to what other bakeries offer. Since switching to the new PET packaging, I have clearly noticed the reduction in the filling quantity of the salad and sauce. You have to travel a long way for the 900 g plait, well baked with crowns of this quality. We had our braid from Honold for 30 years. Buchmann demands many times more, but a dark-baked plait is airy on the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside - as it should be. In my opinion the best Bürli's you can get in Switzerland! Staff was always friendly and helpful.

Work around the corner. Was there months ago. The saleswoman was so unfriendly and disrespectful that I preferred to go get my croissants somewhere else every day. Today my second attempt. Even worse than the first time. Never again! On when the location is most convenient.

Espresso doesn't taste good and an espresso macchiato for 5 CHF turns out to be coffee with milk... 🙁 Bircher muesli is labeled as 'sugar-free'. And then there's a bunch of honey in it - that's unfair to people who eat a sugar-free diet and then have to throw the cereal away.

Bakery inside the Migros shop, always fresh and delicious pastries. Particularly love their fruit tarts!
