I ate the Valais specialty Capuns with friends and drank a wine from Valais, a Fendandt.... 11 out of 10 points!

We had a great evening with Raklet, we ate too much, 3 plates of cheese and 2 baskets of potatoes))) Thank you, it was delicious and fun with music! Very friendly service! I advise everyone to have a nice evening!

Typically Valais, a highlight every year!

An all-round positive experience, the family has been running the restaurant for 24 years, the burger and the chocolate donut, but also the fries tasted exceptionally good. The pub is also beautifully decorated and definitely worth a visit. We'll be back in the summer!

Cozy restaurant right on the ski slope from the valley run. The meeting point for the Apresski in Leukerbad. Large menu with specialties. Excellent cuisine!! Also ideal for families. In winter it can also be reached on foot on the winter hiking trail.

We come every year and it's always very nice. I think paying in cash is something you should adapt to a little these days. I usually just have my cell phone with me.

The cozy Waid Stübli is not only characterized by its sophisticated cuisine, the staff is also very friendly and serves extremely efficiently, even when there is a large crowd. An absolute highlight for anyone who comes to Leukerbad. Try the best Capuns and the Waid Stübli coffee.

The best option for eating on the slopes in Leukerbad. The location is optimal, with a beautiful sunny terrace from midday. Beautiful menu of mountain specialties, very well made (mountain macaroni, roëstis, capuns, etc.). Also worth mentioning is the delicious pulled pork burger. Everything is very well done, with attention to detail - even the mixed salad as a starter is out of the ordinary - and this helps set the Weidstübli apart from other establishments in the region. The homemade strudel with its vanilla emulsion is a must to end the meal. Finally, the welcome from the family who runs the restaurant is very friendly and accommodating. They suggested that we have an aperitif inside while waiting for the sun following our early arrival. Sheepskins and straw hats to make the terrace even more pleasant.

This is the best mountain restaurant I've been to

On the day we were there (September 30th, 2023) it was quite busy and we were able to enjoy an aperitif inside until a suitable table became available. It wasn't a problem for us because, on the one hand, we had time and, on the other hand, we saw how many people were already there. When we arrived at the table, we were always served in a friendly and attentive manner. The cheese fondue was a dream come true and the matching wine rounded it off perfectly. In addition, there was Ländler weekend in Leukerbad, which is why a music group played with Schwyzerörgeli and bass violin. Found this restaurant after a walk down the mountain. Beautiful views as in most of leukerbad. Chef kindly made a taster dish for me as out of what I ordered. Turned out absolutely stunning, with the added bonus of experiencing much more of the local cuisine than otherwise would have been.

Very nice alpine restaurant located above Leukerbad. Rustic restaurant with a very nice garden restaurant with a great view of the Valais Alps. Nice children's playground. Homemade specialties depending on the season. Very friendly and fast service. Also ideally located for bikers.

Good restaurant with fine cuisine outside of Leukerbad. Not recommended on Sunday as the staff cannot cope with the rush.

In 2022 it was great. This time very disappointed by the quality of the dried meat which smelled really strong. Much less pickled vegetables. Long wait for service.

Our family's favorite place to eat. The food is really delicious and you can get here from various walking routes. Service fast and very friendly. Beautiful view. The schnitzel is really addictive. Prices have gone up, but you notice that everywhere in this area. You can pay by card.

Passing through the center of the village of Leukerbad, two roads indicate a beautiful walk of about 40 minutes that goes up towards this beautiful restaurant. Once you arrive on site, from the large terrace you can enjoy a splendid view over the whole of Leukerbad, surrounded by rock walls. The interior is also very welcoming. The dishes are very tasty and carefully prepared. Graziella and all the staff welcome you with competence, kindness and a smile that never fails. They also speak Italian. Prices are average. Highly recommended.

After a lovely day of hiking, we stopped at the Weidstübli restaurant. The terrace was full and we had to wait until a seat became available. This happened very quickly due to the very attentive employees. Despite the fact that the entire terrace was occupied, we were served quickly. The food (Älplermagronen and pulled pork burgers) were very, very good!! Just like the dessert that follows. The service staff was very nice and extremely prompt!! The price-performance ratio was right. We recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience.

Nice restaurant. Varied paper. You have to walk / half an hour uphill or 2 and a half hours downhill / to reach it.

Yesterday I found myself by chance in this nice restaurant. I ate a special summer salad with prawns, melon and watermelon. Very good, my husband served roatsbef with salad and fried potatoes accompanied all with an excellent Valais wine. Worth stopping clean and excellent quality and price. Not recently the owner speaks Italian. Until next time, thanks again for your hospitality.

As a single person with only one drink, you will unfortunately be seated in the farthest corner, even though some tables are free. Such is the life of a solo hiker.
