West Cafe Solothurn in Solothurn

The coffee and cappuccino have a convincing taste. The staff are always friendly and now know exactly what I want to order. It's especially comfortable to read the newspaper early in the morning with a coffee.

Basically good offerings (e.g. lunch menus), pleasant place to linger with fine coffee. But one of the service employees is so stressed and hyper that it really puts a damper on your mood...

Unfortunately the very unfriendly service left a bad aftertaste. When we kindly asked for the WLAN password, there was an answer, but the password didn't work. When we asked if we had understood it correctly, we only got an annoyed answer, but it was loud (which wasn't true, we tried several times). It's a shame when you treat guests like that in service. Coffee was quite good.

It was a long wait before I was served, the service was unfriendly for some reason. She also pointed her finger at me for some reason Even though I was just sitting there, waiting for my coffee and smoking a cigarette. Maybe she didn't like my nose. But that's not possible!!! I spent the remaining half hour waiting somewhere else Never again.

The espresso house blend is very tasty. However, 1 star deduction for filling the shelves: it shouldn't actually happen that you buy beans that are roasted older than a week before.

A great coffee is served there, if not the best in Solthurn, but unfortunately for years with soy milk instead of oat milk. Any good coffee works well with soy milk! It's a shame that people don't listen to customers here.

I have not been a customer of the cafe but it looks like a lovely place to have a coffee and snack or some of the beautiful chocolates on display. I have met the master roaster on a number of occasions and he is very knowledgeable and friendly, always available to provide advice on coffee and equipment/techniques etc. I'm prefer light/medium light roasts for filter coffee so at the moment I am a big fan of Burtukaana Bombe #2 Natural from Ethiopia. Would highly recommend trying it out.

Friendly staff, everyone checked in advance for a certificate, coffee warm with a good aroma, peaks as they should be, cold outside and pleasantly warm inside but not too closed warm and plenty of newspapers with the latest news in the rack. One (look) for everyone without waiting for a return. What more do you want?

Went to your place for the first time today. The lady who served outside was very nice, unfortunately the lady at the buffet wasn't so friendly.

Goods good, staff not so much. Those from the Trüssel were definitely friendlier to me. (This mainly affects bakery employees, but not the coffee roaster in the back). My tip if you like nice old ladies (with customs): go to Trüssel (approx. 30 to 50 meters away).

The city roastery's espresso house blend is among the top 3 of my coffees at home, on a small SOLIS portafilter machine with grinder :) My other two favorites: the AR Aramosa from Lukas' "Cafethek" in Bern and APROLMA BIO from VICAFE, Zurich.

Unfortunately not recommended, cuisine is of poor quality. Valais steak with brown sauce? In addition, the taste, including the side dish, was inadequate, and the service staff was reminiscent of amateurs.

It's no use having a nice café if the waitress doesn't have an eye for the essentials and you have to wait a long time for your order. Unfortunately, there are not always professionals at work, unfortunately.

Unfortunately, you don't get such a friendly welcome at the Solothurn city roastery. Sometimes you wait too long to order or pay. The food and lunch menu is good.

Nice coffee opposite Solothurn train station. In the back there is a small coffee roastery where you can buy great coffee and in the front part there is a café. In the summer months you can sit outside and enjoy your coffee. Friendly staff and delicious baked goods and sweets that go perfectly with coffee.

Is a good place in the suburbs! Have an identity problem whether Oetterli, Laube bakery, or city roastery. I don't know exactly what identity the coffee has. Nothing different from other offers, but nothing worse either. The sandwiches have jelly, which almost no one likes but I still eat when I'm hungry :) Very nice team, cozy atmosphere. I.e. Offer average, ambience great, totally 4*!
