The Williams ButchersTable in Bern is always worth a visit. The service staff are very friendly and accommodating, the butchers at the counter live their passion for the product and advise you so that you get the best dining experience. Always my pleasure!

The quality is good, but the quantity is quite low. And the exorbitant price. Without a doubt there are much better places to enjoy eating in Bern.

Excellent restaurant, the best meat I have eaten in my life! The only thing to complain about is the waiter who wanted to give us the most rotten table, the one next to the entrance hall, even though we had reserved and other tables were available. The next couple who came home, same instructions (but they were naive and said yes). If we reserve, it is to have the best table, not the worst, reserved for those who come when the restaurant is full. So to be clear: give the best tables first, the worst tables last and not the other way around.

We are not meat lovers, but in this place they have the best and they prepare them excellently, the best cooking and flavors, really very good, the accompaniments were a salad with an incredible dressing, some peculiarly delicious fries and the best , some spinach that tasted fabulous, the dessert was small but very tasty, I would say one of the best Cheese Cake I have ever tried, the guys were super attentive and helped us with the process to choose your cut of meat and what its recommendation in times, always attentive, we got a table with a view of the street so it was good, the light, music and decoration of the place is very good, it makes you feel very comfortable and you don't want to leave, we arrived after Lunch, so We didn't get to try the famous burger, but we'll definitely be back, thank you friends from ButchersTable Bern.

Yesterday, my boyfriend and I decided to try out this restaurant for a nice dinner, and it completely surpassed our expectations! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. We loved the unique experience of choosing our own cuts of meat and deciding how much we wanted. If you're looking for a relaxing and upscale dining experience, I highly recommend this place. The service was exceptional, the food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was incredibly cozy. We'll definitely be returning in the future!

First visit: The two of us went out to eat. Me and a colleague. The ambience was great and the service and staff were friendly, funny, cool and cheerful. Often it is the opposite. The concept with the butcher shop (part of it) is also a very good idea. The food was tasty and I'm already looking forward to the next time.

We were here for the first time and we will come again. Pleasant service and even better meat. You can choose a piece directly from the butcher, weight on request. For me, a gastronomic experience is as good as eating well. It hurts the wallet a little, but it's worth it.

The knowledge, hospitality, and overall enthusiasm of the employees is radiant. As an American who only speaks English fluently, I always feel bad visiting Switzerland, but the staff is great and very helpful. Recommendations made are spot on and you can tell they take pride in the work. They stagger when they bring out the meats as to ensure you get them at their best, and the sides are amazing as well. The selection of meats has something for everyone, start to finish, the experience is one I will not forget. I very much look forward to returning the next time I am in the country.

The meat and preparation are excellent. The selection at the meat counter is a real plus. Unfortunately the service leaves something to be desired. The staff wasn't really up to par. They try hard to make the dining experience something special, but it all seems a bit fake. We had to remind our waiter several times that we had ordered something. When we opened the wine, he spilled it on the table and my cell phone, and I also had pieces of cork in my glass. But he didn't notice anything. Less show and more substance, then it will be fine.

It was a culinary treat. Great food (veal, beef) perfectly fried and with excellent service. It was a wonderful evening.

Friendly and courteous service. The explanation of the process with the selection of meat at the counter and so on seems a bit chaotic, but very pleasant :o) The food was super tasty. The large selection of meat is great. You choose your own piece at the counter. You can also decide for yourself how much meat you want. A small detail is missing from the labeling of the meat on the counter. It is not clear on the labels which piece comes from which animal. A small symbol with the corresponding animal on the tag would solve the problem. Otherwise thoroughly recommended. With starters, wine and dessert, expect to pay a three-digit amount per person. Gladly again another time :o)

Absolutely sensational experience! From the food (meat, side dishes & dessert) to the service and the ambience, it's an absolute dream! While eating, I knew that I would visit this place again very soon! (We'll see each other again in March, that's already decided ;) ) I would particularly like to highlight our waiter Malik and the super friendly meat expert Bewen from New Zealand! (I hope I spelled the name correctly). These two gentlemen made this experience perfect and accompanied us through the evening incredibly pleasantly, with expert knowledge and a lot of sympathy! Another waiter (beard, black outfit, piercing, name unfortunately unknown to me) also served us in the most friendly way! A great team that knows what they are doing and how to make guests happy! I hope that everyone “gets lost” in this restaurant to experience an evening as breathtaking as we had today! I wish the entire Berner ButchersTable team a happy new year and continued success! An incredible taste experience. From the advice at the butcher shop, to the top service right down to every bite of the meat. Just perfect. (Compliments to everyone!!) I would be dishonest if I said it wasn't expensive. However, in my opinion, this experience is worth every cent. I was there once in the summer and now in December and the above applies to both times. Keep it up!!

What an experience. The butcher gave us 4 advices: best pork in Switzerland! And you know what? It is probably true. The tenderloin was just incredible, unique even. We completed our choice with an old cow, and wild boar ribs 👍. Not testing the bone marrow would probably be a terrible mistake. I can tell you they know the product. I am crying to not leave at Bern for being a frequent user.

I bought a tomohawk steak... I was not informed that the piece of meat I bought at the fresh counter was frozen. The expiry date printed on it may not be correct. The thawing date is also not noted so that as a cook I can calculate how long it will last. For the price paid I expect something different...

This is one of our favorite places in Bern. The entire staff are passionate and well informed in what they do as well as being very friendly and welcoming. Everything we have tried on the menu is very delicious. (Cocktails are superb too) In addition to eating in the restaurant, we like to buy meat to cook at home directly from the butcher, they also have delicious ham, bacon, spices, stock and sausages. Highly recommended!

I was recently in Paris in a steakhouse, the four of us ate and drank and ended up paying a bill of almost €200. This time I wanted to eat steak again with my girlfriend and chose this restaurant because we love trying new things again and again. The two of us ordered 400g beef fillet with fries and 2 cokes. When we saw the bill for 178.- we were both shocked. Not only us but the couple next to us were just as shocked when they wanted to pay their bill. The first and unfortunately last time. I'm sorry for this bad review but overpriced!

Our server had a robust body odor that lingered after he left, but was otherwise great. The old cow was recommended by their butcher. It looked really good but the taste was underwhelming and lacked the bold flavor they spoke so highly of, for me as well as my 3 companions. The Luma pork and the Luma beef were worth it.

The price is quite high for what is offered. It's also not particularly transparent, as no menu prices are given; you have to figure it out yourself somehow. I can imagine that many people will be surprised by the steep bill at the end. My butcher first weighed out 600g for me ("you like that, you know") - I said half of it and of course in the end I had the 600 on the piece of paper, which I was then allowed to go and correct in person. It's like a classic Turiscam, but at home. The meat prices are about 10x more expensive than wholesale. So for the price of 100g you could get a kg of "Entrecôte from Uruguay" - of course without service etc... Otherwise nice atmosphere, food quite okay, but not outstanding either. It's actually a good idea with the concept, but in practice it's rather tedious with queuing and increased waiting times.

The visit to the Williams ButcherTable Bern was just very disappointing. Quality of the food and the staff leaves a lot to be desired.

Cooking point was not met. The drinks were brought incorrectly and the portions of the side dishes were very small. Overall, the price/performance ratio was not met. For just under 420 francs, I think it's extremely overpriced.

We ate at Butcherstable for the first time yesterday and it was absolutely delicious!! I've probably never eaten such good meat! The service was very friendly and funny 😄 Will definitely come back! 😍👌🏻

We were a larger group eating here and had ordered the menu for everyone in advance for 100.- each. The food was really first class. I doubt I've ever eaten meat this good before. Unfortunately, the service was not what I would expect in such a high-class restaurant: - The wine was ordered by me, but the waiter gave it to someone else to taste. - We then had to pour the wine ourselves - Hardly anyone came by during the meal, for example to take new drink orders or other requests. That was a real shame, dear ButchersTable team. And if you had put in a little effort, you probably would have sold a bottle of wine, a few long drinks and a few more coffees.

We've been there several times. Perfect food - the meat but also the vegetables are simply sensational! We'd love to come back!

Perfect meat restaurant with integrated butcher shop.

On Saturday we enjoyed a wonderful evening at ButchersTable. The service was great and the food was also excellent. A good concept. The meat was prepared as requested. The only thing I deducted one star is the price, which is more on the upper limit. Nevertheless, highly recommended for those who want to experience a slightly different restaurant.

I was taken there for my bachelor party and I loved it! The atmosphere is a mix between rustic and high class dining. The meat cuts are expensive, but the price is worth it in my opinion. Everything tasted great and fresh. It was meat paradise! I will definitely be going back because I raved so much about it that now my wife wants to try it too.

Best place to eat meat in Bern! Wonderful, really excellent meat, friendly staff and excellent environment. Having ordered a drink, you get up and go to choose your meat exactly like at the butcher. Really recommended. The only flaw is the rather high prices.

Meat lovers, this is for us. In a 1930s atmosphere, we select the pieces to eat through the magnificent butcher's window. A nod to the marrow bone as a starter, magnificent!

The meat was burnt rather than grilled. Quite a shame given the meat. I wasn't asked what degree of doneness I wanted for my meat. The salad and bread were below average. You're more likely to die of thirst than get intoxicated. Pretty weak for the money. Ambiance also only 2 stars.

A butcher? A steak restaurant run by. It's an unusual way of ordering, where you choose the meat you want from a case and have it grilled for you, but the staff are all friendly and give detailed explanations that make it easy to understand. The steak is delicious and will not disappoint!

The ButchersTable has the merit of offering a rare experience in Bern: the specialty is a piece of meat to choose from which is then served alone to the guests. The meat is unbeatable, but unless you devour it as quickly as possible, you inevitably end up eating it cold. Eating here is generally a great experience, but I regret several other things: - lunch menus, which remain unchanged from one week to the next, would benefit from changing more often; - the service is attentive, but often slow; - prices are high: difficult to get a piece of meat for less than 60 francs. and everything else costs money, even water and extra fries.

The only downside is that going to Williams ButchersTable is a bit more expensive. But it's definitely worth it if you're looking for an exceptional dining experience. Overall, my visit to Williams ButchersTable was an unforgettable experience that I would recommend to anyone looking for a quality steak house in Bern. The quality of the food and service is second to none and I will definitely be back.

My family and I visited Butcher's Table in Bern last Friday. The restaurant was completely booked, but the service and cuisine were unimpressive. The service at the butcher's counter was top notch as always, the service certainly looked after us fantastically at all times, big thanks to the two gentlemen Sven and Bevan! The wine pairing from Smith&Smith was great! We're always happy to come back!
