Magnifique cadre, personnel très remarquable et hautement professionnel comme à chaque fois que je passe dans ce restaurant. Merci à Corinna et tout le staff pour l'accueil et l'inoubliable dîner du lundi 21 septembre 2020.Mes invitées ont superbement apprécié ainsi que le magnifique cadre.Bravo à l'équipe, nous y reviendrons.Patrick

Accueil et atmosphère très sympathique, le personnel est compétent et aimable. Nous avions eu l'occasion de manger un soir dans ce restaurant à la vue magnifique sur la rade. Nous avions donc envie de nous y rendre "de jour" un midi à l'occasion d'un anniversaire. Le repas était plus simple étant donné que le dimanche la carte est plus réduite pour cause de "High tea" mais le tout était tout à fait bon et les crêpes flambées très bonnes. Un bémol tout de même, la carte des vins aux prix stratosphériques, attention car la marge prise devrait être de 3 à 4 maximum...90frs une bouteille de pinot... trop cher, même pour la vue et le sympathique service.

Un bon cadre pour passer un businesslunch en découvrant des bon plats léger et savoureux. A revenir !

Nos alojamos en el hotel y desayunamos aquí 3 días seguidos, pero nunca nos cansamos. La vista es preciosa ya que The Windows tiene una bonita vista grande con vistas al lago. El servicio es impecable y el buffet continental es encantador. También pedimos un desayuno caliente del menú a la carta y lo pasamos muy bien pidiendo diferentes artículos cada mañana. Definitivamente intentaré volver de nuevo si en Ginebra.

Cadre majestueux dans ce magnifique hôtel. L'accueil et le service sont irréprochable. Les mets sont très bon bon malgré la cuisson raté du filet de boeuf la mousseline arrivé froide sur la table. Dommage, car ce restaurant mériterait son étoile.

We moved our breakfast meeting here for 10 people and we were not disappointed. We were given a nice large table in the back but the view of the lake was still nice. The service was impeccable and the croissants and coffees were so good! But very pricey as expected. It was a treat for all of us.

The food was good ,I had the braised lamb shank (it was very delicious) , the cheese selection (French Swiss and British )and Yuzu lemon sorbet . I had a Glass of All were good. Service flow very quick , very attentive waiters with good knowledge of wine .

I dined here during the week with my boyfriend and I can simply say that The Windows Restaurant is flawless. From beginning to end the experience was out of this world. The food both delicious and eye-appealing. The staff were all extremely accommodating, professional and all had fantastic English. Sincere compliments to the Food and Beverage Manager, Romain, for looking after us so well and making the whole trip so memorable for us. We cannot thank him enough for his sincerity and making the whole experience so enjoyable. We will definitely be back and look forward to meeting the whole team again. Thanks again to everyone.

By far my favourite place to dine in Geneva. The entire hotel is a touch of class. The team in the restaurant is extremely friendly and accommodating (even finding me a last minute table right before they closed !). Restaurant manager Romain is both knowledgable and caring.

Went for their New year eve dinner. Excellent service, great food. Price on the high side but its worth the experience. At the end we were too full to finish. The dishes are changeable if you have allergies. Will definitely try their alcarte menu when im in Geneva again. They are located in front of lake Geneva and right in front will be the fireworks celebration. They provided some New Year party celebration accessories too.

Wir haben eine wundervolle Zeit im Windows Restaurant verbracht. Das Essen und das Personal sind super, die Lage ist einfach perfekt. Es ist warm und gemütlich. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen

Une expérience à faire une fois dans sa vie, qui vaut 85.- pour deux! Délicieux... j’en rêve encore! Un conseil, allez y comme si c’était un repas de midi ou du soir sinon vous ne finirez pas, ce qui serait dommage!! Personnel tout chou, super accueil avec une poussette et un bébé!

Péssimo atendimento, o maître mal educado, deveria ser demitido. Arrogante. Não tínhamos reserva porém o restaurante tinha lugar disponível. Por ser tarde 21 hs o mesmo praticamente nos expulsou do local. Restaurante caro deveria ter funcionários a altura. Pelo local e prestigio não pode ter funcionários desqualificados.

Ich ging dort zum Abendessen. Kleines, gemütliches, warmes Restaurant. Freundliches Personal. Vorspeisen sind unvergesslich, Hauptgerichte sind richtig. Aber die Desserts sind enttäuschend. Trotzdem war die Gesamterfahrung sehr interessant. Ich würde es wieder zum Mittagessen versuchen

Wir waren Stammgäste im Restaurant, auch wenn sich die Kellner vielleicht nie an uns erinnern. Wir aßen wieder an diesem Ort zu Abend, den wir früher liebten. Die Haltung der Kellner war enttäuschend. Sie haben sich entschieden, laut zu sprechen und sich mit einigen Gästen nicht für ihre Position zu eignen. Die anderen hörten ein paar Stunden lang ihrem Unsinn zu. Am Ende, nachdem sich niemand um uns oder unsere Mahlzeiten gekümmert hatte und nachdem sie unsere Getränke gemischt hatten, vergaßen wir, ein paar Sachen mitzubringen, brachten ein paar Flaschen Wasser und öffneten sie, als wir nur nach einem fragten, usw. usw. Sie hatten die Kühnheit, um ein Trinkgeld zu bitten. Leider sind wir darauf hereingefallen, wegen der seltsamen Situation (Kellner neben uns, der darauf wartet, dass wir sie zur Kreditkartenzahlung hinzufügen): Wir haben einen großen Tipp hinterlassen, und das tut mir immer noch leid. Pour moi c’est probablement le meilleur hôtel et restaurant de la ville. Le cadre est tout simplement somptueux. Le service est toujours de très grande qualité, accueillant et chaleureux.Une cuisine de très bonne qualité est toujours aussi délicieuse.

In den letzten Jahren waren wir zum Sonntagsbrunch dreimal in diesem Restaurant. Die Angestellten sind nett, das Essen ist ausgezeichnet, aber es gibt ein paar Probleme. Erstens ist das Restaurant am Sonntag zu 50% kinderfreundlich und einige sind laut. Ich schätze, das liegt daran, dass Kinder einen Rabatt / Gratis-Tarif haben, und das macht uns nichts aus, aber die Dame am Nebentisch stillte, sobald sie sich zum Essen hinsetzte (hätte es vorher nicht tun können). Wir mögen auch einen Champagner-Sonntagsbrunch, aber die einzige Option für Seifenblasen gibt es ab CHF 160 pro Flasche. Es gibt keine Prosecco-Option, nur teure Gläser oder eine Flasche Champagner. Also, was hast du? Ein tolles Restaurant voller Eltern mit Kindern / Buyclub-Gutscheinen und niemand (außer uns) hat heute Alkohol getrunken, nur Wasser, Tee, Kaffee usw. Sie haben hier keine Gelegenheit und könnten sicher einen Champagner / Prosecco / Mimosa inklusive Sonntagsbrunch machen das würde mehr Erwachsene anziehen.

Aujourd’hui on a mange une très bonne brunch au Restaurant Windows, le service c´était excellent, le choix était magnifique et l´ambiance très accueillante!Super début pour une dimanche!

We had breakfast and dinner in Windows while staying at the hotel. Breakfast is a buffet with all that you would expect. The evening meal was superb with an amuse bouche of smoked salmon pannacotta with tartare of tuna which was mind-blowing ! Lovely, friendly service and a sommelier who knew his stuff and - significantly - did not try to sell us the most expensive wine on the menu and who introduced us to Swiss wine, which was a brand new and most enjoyable experience. Highly recommended for hotel guests and non-guests alike.

I was alone and a bit early for my reservation but the kind and very polite waiter showed me the leopard bar where I could have an aperitif. Ver nice bar with good quality drinks and service. Yes! They serve my favourite Ruinart champagne. The dinner was lovely with lots of little starters or amuses. The Dover Sole was exquisite soft and expertly prepared and served by well trained waitress. Only down side was the background music. That was a bit weird to my taste. The music in the bar was better.

Cela fait plusieurs année que j'entend parler de la venue d'un Chef Indien dans le Windows restaurant. Je me suis enfin décidé à tester et je vous avoue que c'était vraiment très très bon. Il y a une réelle différence entre restaurant Indien lambda et un Chef réputé venu spécialement d'Inde. Une réelle invitation aux voyages.La vue était incroyable, juste en face du jet d'eau et le service impeccable. N'hésitez pas à demander un petit tour de magie à Vincent l'un des serveurs pour sublimer votre soirée. :)

Il servizio attento e cordiale, contribuisce a rendere piacevole la serata.La proposta culinaria ed enologica è di altissimo livello. Der Service in diesem Restaurant ist einwandfrei und außergewöhnlich. Ich wurde wie ein König behandelt, das Essen ist göttlich, das Ambiente ist exquisit. Sie buchen online und erhalten umgehend eine Bestätigung. Wenn Sie ankommen, haben sie Ihren Namen notiert und den Tisch bereit oder Sie haben die Wahl, wo Sie sitzen möchten, wenn es nicht beschäftigt ist. Der Maitr d Landry Tissot macht dieses Restaurant zu einem Muss, wenn Sie ihn in Genf lieben werden. Und die Kellner sind freundlich, fröhlich und servierfertig. The first impression is old world when you first walk in at Windows. The decor, elegance and style transport you to that time when elegance was everything and stood for everything. They didn’t stop just at the decor or the service but have perfected it with the food. The menu is not as extensive as the wine list but the choices are expertly chosen. From Scottish Salmon appetizer and quail eggs with morels, you get the feel straight away that what is coming will be even better. Their service staff is trained for quality and promptness, courteous and professional. No high pretentiousness here - service is at their core. The risotto was amazing and though we didn’t try it, the cheese tray table side will make your mouth water. Mario was perfect in his demeanor and explanation of menu choices as was Vincent with his smile. The restaurant is located inside the Hotel d’ Angleterre in the heart of Geneva with a view of the city to die for. Appropriately named Windows, it’s food and service will stay with you forever. Outstanding!

Erstens ist dieses Restaurant viel zu teuer für das, was es ist. Ich habe ehrlich gesagt nichts dagegen, für Qualität zu bezahlen, aber es hat mir etwas ausgemacht, für diese zu bezahlen. Das Essen war wirklich nichts Besonderes, bestenfalls Bistro-Qualität, kein Konzept, nichts Besonderes, und für die Preise, die sie verlangen, war es völlig unter dem Standard. Um nur einige Beispiele zu nennen: Die Sauce mit der Gänseleberpastete wurde auf dem Teller getrocknet, das Steak war gut gemacht und wurde von einem zufälligen Haufen Salat bedeckt. Das gleiche Erbsenpüree wurde zusammen mit der Vorspeise meines Mannes und meinem Hauptgericht serviert Natürlich, und dann war da noch das Kaninchen. . . Alle drei Stücke des Hasengestells hatten Knochenfragmente. Als ich mich beim ersten Mal beim Kellner beschwerte, entschuldigte er sich nicht einmal, er sagte nur, er würde es mit dem Koch überprüfen. Nun, ich bin nicht sicher, was mit dem Chef über Knochen zu fragen ist, die nicht da sein sollten. Als er zum zweiten Mal an den Tisch kam, sagte er mir, dass es laut Chef nicht Knochen, sondern Knorpel sei. Nun, ich denke, ich kann den Unterschied zwischen Knochen und Knorpel erkennen, schließlich habe ich das Gericht gegessen, aber in auf jeden Fall auch keine Entschuldigung zum zweiten Mal. Das Essen und alles andere an dieser Stelle hat mich total abgeschreckt. Ich hatte nur ungern einen Nachtisch, weil ich eigentlich immer noch hungrig war, weil der größte Teil des Kaninchens ungenießbar war. Zumindest war das Dessert in Ordnung, obwohl es auch nichts Besonderes war. Als der Kellner die Rechnung mitbrachte, entschuldigte er sich plötzlich zum ersten Mal für das Kaninchen und sagte mir, mein Nachtisch sei im Haus. Es war zu wenig zu spät, und ehrlich gesagt hätte der Hase im Haus sein sollen. . . Die gesamte Erfahrung war von Anfang bis Ende zutiefst unangenehm. Dieses Restaurant hält sich für einen hochrangigen Ort, den es eindeutig nicht ist, und die von ihnen berechneten Preise sind durch die Qualität, die Sie erhalten, weder für das Essen noch für die Qualität des Service oder das kulinarische Erlebnis gerechtfertigt. Im Nachhinein hätte ich misstrauisch werden sollen, als sie uns erzählten, dass die Spezialitäten des Hauses gegrillter Fisch und "amerikanischer" Käsekuchen waren. . . .

If you wish to spend a rainy afternoon in a bristish atmosphere, this is the place to go! Traditional High tea served as should. The staff is great and very helpful. The lake view is a nice addition to the moment!

Nous sommes allés à ce restaurant à trois. Très bel accueil. Service impeccable et mets de haute qualité. Ambiance feutrée. Nous y sommes allés pour un anniversaire et nous avons eu droit à des mignardises, ce qui fut apprécié. Cependant, le seul hic est l'entrée pour les personnes en fauteuil roulant. Il n'y a pas de rampe à l'entrée principale et nous devons contourner le bâtiment pour entrer dans un local poubelles (!) et où une personne assez forte ne pourrait pas passer, car obstrué par deux tables. C'est lamentable qu'une rampe ne soit pas installée à l'entrée principale, même ponctuellement. C'est un 5 étoiles, non? Une petite erreur de facturation, évidemment à notre détriment (ce n'est jamais en faveur du client!). Malgré cela, nous avons apprécié notre repas et l'extrême gentillesse du personnel à l'écoute.

Après avoir fait plusieurs brunchs sur Genève, je suis malheureusement déçu de celui de l’hôtel d’Angleterre. Manque de choix, aussi bien au niveau des entrées que des plats chaud. Excepter la vue exceptionnelle sur le lac cela ne vaut pas le détour.

Nous adorons cet endroit! Que ce soit pour le afternoon tea ou pour un dîner/lunch, nous avons toujours trouvé le tout parfait.Nous tenons à remercier M. Deffaugt le chef d'orchestre qui tient admirablement son rôle et qui sait être à l'écoute, très aimable, flexible et très orienté client. Nois remercions également Mario P. qui est très professionnel, aimable, efficace et orienté client. A fun, decadent brunch experience with stunningly good food. Everything (especially champagnes) is pricey, but it's a perfect place for a Sunday brunch. Delicious pastries, salads, pork, and desserts.

Le cadre toujours très cosy, et plein de charme ...le souci du détail est parfait..Le service de table est soigné, élégant..comme il se doit..La carte des mets suffisamment vaste pour y trouver son plaisir, les plats sont bien présentés et bons.Le petit bémol est la carte des vins, nous avons été surpris de nous entendre dire comme excuse, que les demi-bouteilles de vin ne se faisaient plus car les autres belles tables de Genève s'en débarrassaient.Un peu étonné au vu des restrictions lorsque l'on prend le volant, donc peu de choix en vin ouvert à des prix vraiment excessifs..Nous avons l'habitude de nous faire des belles tables, mais dommage la carte des vins est un peu excessive, il n'y a pas d'entre deux..Prendre une bonne bouteille pour ne boire que deux verres...du gâchis..

We have been to this restaurant in Geneva for my birthday and it’s the perfect night! Good wine selection both from local and foreign. My recommendation is to try foei gras terrine with the swiss eiswine it’s the perfect combination!

Déçue par le menu de Noël. Le service était excellent, mais le menu ne m'a as plu. La seule partie qui m'ait éblouie était la pintade. Elle était délicieuse, j'aurais été contente de ne manger que ça. La sauce au vin blanc était à tomber! Pour passé cent francs par personne, ça fait cher. La prochaine fois, s'il y en a une, je prendrai juste le plat.

Un très très bon accueil une équipe très sympa, le service parfait 20/20. Une jolie table décorée avec des pétales MAGNIFIQUENous avons passés un très bon anniversaire de mariage, le repas délicieux le dessert délicieux. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen, romantischen Abend im Le Windows, den wir sicher lange nicht vergessen werden. Zugegeben, die Speisen sind exorbitant teuer! Selbst für Schweizer Verhältnisse ist es wirklich sehr teuer. Aber wussten das vorher. Wir wurden weder vom Essen noch vom sehr aufmerksamen Service enttäuscht. Alles war wunderbar!Das Amiente im Restaurant ist wunderschön. Das Licht ist nicht zu hell, die Sessel sind sehr bequem und der Blick auf den See ist natürlich atemberaubend (obwohl wir wegen Dunkelheit wenig gesehen haben). Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, genauso wie der Service. Die Lage mit Blick auf den See war großartig und wir hatten einen Fensterplatz, sodass wir abends über den See schauen konnten. Die Gerichte wurden alle fachkundig zubereitet und präsentiert.

Der Service zum Mittag- und Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Ich mochte die Auswahl an frischem Obst und Müsli und der Wein zum Mittagessen war hervorragend

Жили в гостинице и пошли ужинать в ресторан с другом, навестившего нас.Ресторан находится на первом этаже гостиницы, смотрит окнами на Женевское озеро. Обставлен богато. Обслуживание отличное - у нас не было брони, но нас посадили. Готовят очень вкусно. Имеют хороший выбор вин. Мы заказали рыбу. Приготовили вкусно, подали красиво. Наслаждайтесь едой и приготовьтесь платить - ресторан очень дорогой!

Nous avons testé le Windows pour le brunch du dimanche (valeur CHF90 ~ pour buffet et boissons chaudes comprises). Le cadre est effectivement très joli, très cosy et se prête probablement très bien à l'afternoon tea. Par contre le brunch n'est pas du tout au niveau de ses concurrents du bord du lac...le buffet d'entrées comprend du fromage, de la charcuterie et des salades plus que basiques: salade verte, tomates, concombres, carottes et maïs (conserve?). Rien de travaillé, ni de différent à ce que nous pourrions préparer chez nous...il y a deux choix chauds: un gigot d'agneau, des oeufs (brouillés ou à la carte), des pommes de terre et une sorte de légumes. Et voilà...rien à voir avec les 4 plates proposés à la carte et servis à table de leur voisin, le Président Wilson. Les oeufs servis à la carte (pochés) avec lesquels nous avions demandé du pain sans gluten, sont tout de même arrivés avec un toast banal...la communication ne passe apparemment pas en cuisine. Le pain sans gluten, du surgelé...fade, sans goût. Autant ne rien proposer...il existe des boulangers à Genève qui préparent du pain sans gluten délicieux. Pour avoir fait quelques brunchs, celui-ci nous a vraiment déçus. Nous nous attentions à quelque chose de beaucoup plus sophistiqué, surtout à ce prix. Nous ne le recommandons absolument pas et nous n'y retournerons pas non plus.

Gorgeous setting, exceptional service and tasty food. The only thing out of all the things we got we did not like was the ham sandwich, the bread felt a bit stale. But overall fantastic, desserts to die for, tasty champagne and best scones we've ever had.

first the +: the service is REALLY good,the staff cares, I like the setting as well, overlooking the lake, nicely decorated.We went for the Sunday brunch. While the food in itself is satisfactory, it is so disappointing. Not in line with other 5 stars in GVA. Just a few salads among them totally tasteless canned corn, small selection of desserts and appetizers. The main dish are good but not served to the table like in another hotel closed by which serves a great brunchFor what you pay and what you get, I find it totally overpriced when comparing other hotels in GenevaHowever, prices of drinks are in line with other 5 stars hotels in GVA.

Premièrement, pour notre apéritif le maitre d'hôtel s'est foutu vulgairement de ma gueule, il nous à proposer deux Mimosa nous avons eu l'impression de boire un orangina le prix 68.00. Pour l'entrée nous avons pris le foie gras de canard au torchonGelée de mangue et grué de cacao là rien à dire, par la suite madame à pris le Stroganoff de gambas servi avec du riz basmati mon épouse a dit tu fais à la maison, pour ma part j'ai pris le rouget barbet à la tapenade de tomate, coulis de piquillosAubergine grillée et fleur de courgette farcie d’une purée aux olives le poisson il était tiède. Comme desserts madame a pris Cheese cake américain il était bon, le parfait glacé au chocolat turban chocolat et sauce café-amaretto également bon rien à dire.

Un personnel souriant avec un service parfait. Un endroit tranquille , La cuisine est excellente et un dessert au chocolat magnifique. Prix des vins ??

Venu plusieurs fois déjà, pour l’afternoon tea et le dîner. Accueil chaleureux, super service et pâtisserie à tomber. Je recommande fortement !

A while after being seated they brought us a Menu comprising exclusively Indian food ; we have nothing against it but we were visiting Geneve to taste the local food.After a lot of grumbling and mumbling , the Maitre d' brings the standard Menu too . In order to assuage him we ordered a mix of Indian and international meals.The food was good but not special.The service has been slow and careless ; we had to pour drinks ourselves Very discomfiting was that , in a luxury restaurant , no one had a jacket but me, and some patrons had a disconcerting behaviorProbably that in order to fill the places everything is now unfortunately allowed ...

I had guests from the US and requested a table for nine with a view of the lake. They said that they were currently offering an Indian menu but that the normal menu would also be available. We arrived, had a large table far from the view and the table had been set for the Indian theme. We were then told that the "normal menu" was limited. I insisted on a table with a view and we were moved to a much nicer table overlooking the lake. I will admit that the Indian food (especially the butter chicken) was excellent. Sorry but the naans were more oil fried parathas than oven baked naans. Nice 1/2 floor of the but far too expensive, even compared to other 5 stars (Beau Rivage, Kempinski) near by.

I love going to Windows for Sunday brunch buffets. Everything is so fresh and beautifully presented. The staff are posh and quite attentive and take note of allergy related requests seriously. The tea hour with their quality selection of teas and sweet and savory finger foods is an experience not to be missed They have scones and cream puffs along with cucumber sandwiches with the crust neatly removed.

Located on the gound floor ofthe Sands Ocean Club. Breakfast buffet is the meal to hit here. Selections are basic and ok but for $10+ you can fill up quite easily. Thomas makes up an excellent omelet per order. Guest service is very attentive and personable. Hours of operation are limited. My main issue with the facility is it doesn't post its breakfast or lunch hours so guest can plan accordingly. Other than that it's still worth a visit.

Windows restaurant at Hotel D’Angleterre was more than we expected. Sat us overlooking Lake Geneva in a beautiful dining room with the most attentive and friendly staff. We had the 5-course dinner that left us amazed at how good creative Indian cuisine should taste like! Saying that we loved it isn’t an adequate description. It was gastronomic!!! Thank you for making our anniversary dinner so special!

Dès l'arrivée à l'hôtel , puis au restaurant Windows , dans un décor élégant et feutré , je me suis sentie unique , guidée par un personnel discret mais efficace , très à l'écoute de tous nos désirs . Une soirée privilégiée , avec pour thème une cuisine indienne délicate , raffinée et généreuse . Une carte des vins dirigée par un sommelier aux petits soins , pas avare d'anecdotes intéressantes .Tout cela avec une vue panoramique sur le lac . Bref , une magnifique soirée .

This restaurant in the Hotel d'Angleterre is fabulous. The staff was absolutely the best...friendly (spoke perfect English) and attentive. The restaurant itself is beautiful, really nice, and has great views of the lakefront.

Esse restaurante é incrível. A começar pelo atendimento, quando entramos fomos super bem recepcionados. Eu e minha esposa pedimos para dividir o tradicional chá da tarde para uma pessoa e saímos satisfeitos. A comida era deliciosa, e o Romain, quem nos atendeu, além do serviço simpático e impecável nos ajudou a escolher um chá delicioso.Gastamos 49 francos, mas valeu a pena, muito bom.

The restaurant has a great view of the lake (thus, the name Windows), tasteful and comfortable furnishings and attentive service. The menu is varied and is adjusted seasonally. Good food, but based on one visit I would not say exceptional for a restaurant of this class. My wife and I and our out of town guest enjoyed our dinner, but there were two flies in the ointment that affected our experience, perhaps disproportionately. The first was that the very expensive filet of sole (CHF78) was not up to standard. It was slightly overcooked and did not have the delicate flavor that sole is known for. I realize that I made the elementary mistake of ordering seafood on a Monday, but I expected more. Second, I found the pricing on a couple of items excessive, particularly on two items where I was not told (nor did I ask) the price. Before dinner, I ordered a house white wine (by the glass) as an aperitif on the recommendation of the waiter, without an idea of the price. We were served a minimal quantity (barely a deci-liter a glass). The wine was adequate but not more. When we got the bill I was astonished to see that it cost CHF 22 per small glass. For the salad course, my guest asked whether they had fresh asparagus, which was not on the menu, as it was just out of season. They said that they still had some, which we ordered. Again I was astonished when I got the bill and saw that it was CHF 35 a plate for 4 pieces (with hollandaise sauce). It was my fault for not asking the price, but still, I felt taken advantage of. Not a good feeling, nor one that makes me eager to go back.

We visited this restaurant 3 times, once for dinner and, next day, for breakfast and lunch.Wait staff, interior, table clothes, cutlery are 5*, no-nonsense classic. Wine list could be a bit more extensive, but, even as it is now, very sufficient to cater to almost any taste.Now about the food. For the dinner we had sashimi of Scottish salmon with Aquitaine Caviar Prunier, duet of green and white asparagus, John Dory fish with La Meunière sauce and roasted scampi risotto. The food was cooked perfectly and served beautifully. Bravo!The reason of taking one star off is Tagliata of Angus rib steak we had for lunch. It was somewhat chewy, with meat fibers being a tad too coarse. I am sure, it can be improved easily by taking a bit more care while sourcing the meat.The wait staff and sommelier were very polite, efficient, competent and helpful. I have no reservations to recommend Windows restaurant to anyone.

A very nice crafted lunch with great view of Geneva lake. Extensive wine list and good selection of wine by glass. We enjoyed every dish we had. The staffs are very friendly.

So we booked in with little notice, and found ourselves sat at one of the best tables in the restaurant overlooking "The Jet" and the Mont Blanc bridge.Starting with a tasty amuse bouche of cheese and ham, I ordered the Foie Gras Tourchon, which came with a very tasty compot and also served with a sweet red wine, chilled, which went together incredibly well.Special and recommended was the lamb shank, not something I often have at high end restaurants, and a glass of italian red, again very tasty, just wish there was more of it.Coffee and Grappa saw me done for lunch, and an excellent experience all round.

Friendly staff, great food, lovely view of lake, great idea to do an Egg hunt for the kids which was much appreciated. Best lemon meringue pie I have ever tested. Cannot recommend more highly.

Very good restaurant at the lake, service is excellent and the food is great. I dont know about the prices in other restaurants here, but its quit expensive for Dutch standards. I would advise them, as being such an excellent and expensive place, to make their own mayonaise in stead of putting a little jar on the table... or this must be homemade and put in a jar by themselves.

We went yesterday with my wife to have dinner for our anniversary. Warm welcome and very good choice of decoration and table choice. We chose 2 entries: fois gras for her and a pasta with kale for me. Mine had too much oil and it was very salty for my taste but still I believe that maybe it was supposed to be like this. 2nd dish we ordered grilled fish with fries. It came with vapor cookes vegetables, mashed potatoes, olive sauce and fenouille purée. To be honest the fish was well cleaned and served, however, it did not taste extraordinary. Last, we ordered a café "gourmand". And here I must say that for the pastries we tastes all of them, and apart from the chocolate one we left the rest as it was dry and tasteless. Coffee was not good as well but maybe due to the fact that it was decaf. With regards to drinks, we had champagne which was very good and a south african wine that was not that great. Conclusion: service is fantastic, however, they should explain more that you pay 190 CHF the kilo which we did not realize as elsewhere it is not that expensive. Finally we paid 274 CHF for the fish only which was extremely overpriced as it was not extraordinary at and the sides were poor. The staff did not realize that we did not have eaten dessert almost. So in the end, you are more disgust about the price than happy about your meal. My wife and I are both hoteliers and we assume are choices even , however, in some way we felt that quality vs price was poor. Furthermore, I must say that this restaurant has very good welcome and farwell service.

Very very delicious bread and buns served for breakfast made by the restaurant chef himself!!!! Wonderful food, luxury design, extremely well trained personnel. One of the best places to have a high standard dinner in Geneva. Beautiful view on the Jet d'Eau fountain (140 m, and 127 years old!)

My husband and I have been coming to the Windows restaurant in the Hotel d'Angleterre for years for our special occasion luncheons. It is one of the best rapports quality/price you will see for a lunch menu in Geneva. The staff, service, food and atmosphere are all excellent. We have never had a bad meal or bad service here. This is a restaurant with an international clientele, so if your French is rusty it's no problem. The complete lunchtime weekday business menu with a glass of wine, a 1/2 bottle of mineral water, entree, plat, dessert and coffee at CHF 72 per person is an excellent price (especially for Geneva). We were so touched with our last visit when we mentioned it was our wedding anniversary. They brought out a specially decorated plate with our dessert and a candle; it was so thoughtful.
