The restaurant is really nice and it was great having our own space. The tables and chairs are a bit old and should be replaced. For example, tall people cannot sit at all tables because the bar at the bottom is too low. The price-performance ratio for the food...well. Everything was tasty, but for the price I would have expected a great meal and not something average. When we finished the main course, the waiter asked if the boys would like some more fries. They said yes and got two portions, both of which unfortunately ended up on the bill. We definitely didn't understand it that way. At this point he should have asked if they wanted to order again. The waiter was otherwise very friendly and entertained us well. And yes, we had a nice evening, but we wouldn't go to the Schlössli again for that.

We went to the Schlössli for lunch on Sunday. The restaurant was busy and we were a group of 7 people. Actually the service started well. However, we soon discovered that - the appetizer order was taken incorrectly - the wine was picked up and served incorrectly - we had to wait over 1 hour for the starters - the soups were served 15 minutes before the salad, so unfortunately we couldn't eat together - the tartare was inedible for us (it comes from the sausage package, but the price is calculated as for a home-cut tartare) - a new tartar was brought to us, but the consistency of it didn't resemble any tartar either - after the starter we waited another 1.5 hours until the main course was served - For the daily special, soggy risotto was served instead of black rice - The ravioli of the day were not served with the pea puree as written, the mushrooms were completely burnt - Although the tartare and ravioli were offered, we still lacked a sincere apology We would have liked the service to have communicated openly with us. We understand when there is a lot going on, but being ignored and having to refill the wine ourselves given the prices is not okay with us. We walked out of the restaurant after 4.5 hours completely exhausted. The long wait has drained our energy reserves. Even though we went to the restaurant with a big appetite, by the time the main course arrived we had already lost a little of our appetite. Even though the location is beautiful, we probably won't come back. We are very disappointed.

Went to lunch with a friend on Friday, August 6, 2021. We were able to redeem a gastro voucher. Three lunch menus to choose from at moderate prices. Food was very good! There was enough. Ice cream excellent! The service was attentive and competent. Even the boss greeted the guests personally. The place is very homely, great style. Of course the 🏡 as such. Will definitely come back. Then maybe a 6-course menu. Continued success and maintain the high level.

Die Mitarbeiter/innen waren freundlich, aufmerksam und hatten die Sache im Griff. Weinmässig kommt auch jeder Gast auf seine Rechnung. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis würde ich als fair bezeichnen. Fazit: Das Schlössli, am westlichen Rand der Stadt St. Gallen gelegen, ist immer einen Besuch wert.
