YEN'S in Zürich

Had the menu for two. Very fine, fresh sushi, beautifully presented (even with gold dust!), fine salad/miso soup and dessert and all with fast service despite the restaurant being full! Price / offer: Very good!

I went to school with Yen as a 12-year-old and I am incredibly happy that she was able to successfully realize her dream of owning her own restaurant. The food is delicious, presented and served with a lot of love and Yen's is a small institution in Zurich's Werd district. Keep it up dear Yen and team, you're doing great and I feel very comfortable and cared for with you.

One of my absolute favorites restaurants in town. Each dish was a hit, perfectly cooked and presented. It’s not often you find a place that nails everything: food, service, and atmosphere. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a top-notch meal in a warm environment

We were with family for lunch. The food was delicious and the service was quite quick. Our girls loved their children's menu in a chick bento and we all had a great time.

Very good food and service. Open late and on Sundays, i was so greatful. I stayed at the st. George hotel just around the corner. The staff was particularly kind, and attentive, despite being busy with one chef gone. The food was delicious some of the best sushi and Thai food I've had.

We did not go to the restaurant but ordered by uber. The taste was good, but the amount of fish vs the huge amount of rice seemed like a cheap all you can eat sushi (for both maki and nigiri especially, knowing that 3 nigiri cost 13.50, I would have expected much better). I rate it 3 stars only because the taste was good in general.

We just went very late for dinner and still the quality of the food and service was really good. We were 4 and we took two sushi menus for two, and quantity was more than enough 👌

I enjoyed having dinner here with my dear friend who recommended me this restaurant. We made a reservation. Our waiter with the long hair and glasses was such a sweetheart. He did a great service. The food was tasty! I had Edamame as a starter, and I loved it. I tried the Rainbow Rolls (Rainbow Salmon, to be exact) and will always order it whenever I come here for sushi. Thank you!

Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Zurich! We eat duck dishes most often here and have already tried all of the creations. It was always a culinary delight and the service was always attentive and friendly. The drinks menu is also recommended and designed with great attention to detail. Here you quickly notice that a lot of the host's heart and soul goes into it.

Best service ever (excluding restaurants at 5 star hotels)!! Friendly and courteous staff. child friendly. Nice presentation. Japanese food and dessert we tried were not authentic and I could not enjoy especially hard dry rice since I have a fixed idea how sushi rice and JPN food should be. Want to come back for service and try non-Japanese dishes.

My husband and I are travelling from Australia with our 2 toddlers and were so happy with our meal and service at Yens tonight! If you love Asian and amazing service this is the place for you. This has been one of our favourite meals in Europe so far. With every type of Asian cuisine available there is something for everyone. The staff were so accommodating to our children also providing them colouring in textas with a colouring in and baby chopsticks. Restaurants like this make us want to live here. Yen is also a sweetheart she came out and spoke to us after our meal to make sure we enjoyed it. Definitely go here if you desire good Asian in Zurich.

A small restaurant, as soon as you open the door you will be greeted with a genuine smile. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent, fresh and very good. As I wanted to leave, an employee beamed at me and warmly gave me a voucher for my next visit and wished me a nice day. Small gestures that delight a guest. (It wasn't the voucher but the friendliness) I can only recommend it, Asian friendliness with excellent food

Sensational food, very friendly and courteous service, 5 out of 5, I would love to come back. The ambience is very tasteful and stylish, but it is quite loud when full (but that is only criticism at the highest level).

One of my new favorite places! Food is very good and very fairly priced - sushis are very nice. Service is fantastic, very friendly!! They often offer you some little gifts/ souvenirs for you to take a way, last time we had some nice postal cards from Japan. I can only recommend this place!

Excellent food and amazing service. We had dinner with the family including 2 kids. The food was very good and the kids got their portions in nice child lunch boxes and some toys at the end.

Best sushi I've ever eaten! The service is incredibly nice. I would even give it 10/5 stars, unfortunately that's not possible. The food is fantastic! The owner and her husband are the nicest people I have ever seen. There was incredible sympathy on the phone! I can recommend it to anyone who likes food and is looking for a WOW experience!

A nice and pleasant restaurant in the Wiedikon district. The food was very tasty and beautifully prepared. The menu is extensive and varied, there is definitely something for every taste. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, we were served quickly and easily. 1 star deducted for the ambience because the bar counter was partially used as office space that evening. Thank you very much and see you next time, we will definitely come back!

Delicious good sushi, good quality, standard. Starters very good and very large portions, great! Very friendly staff. Nicely decorated and clean restaurant. Unfortunately the tables are a bit cramped, but that's ok. Small outside area. Price performance is ok.

On Saturday we celebrated a birthday with 18 people at Yen's. All 18 people were thrilled, the food was fantastic and the service was top notch. Thanks again to the whole Yen’s team. We will visit you again soon.

Excellent!!! We arrived at 4.20 minutes before closing and the staff kindly greeted us, explaining that we could stay as long as we wanted but that we had to order before 2 p.m. The meal was delicious, delicate and plentiful. The super nice staff. A great discovery in Zurich!

Looking for great sushi? Go here! It’s the second time I’ve been but they have great food, great service and always give a little something when you pay. There’s a variety of food to choose from so you don’t have to settle for sushi. It’s also a big selection which is great for someone in the mood for East and Southeast Asian cuisine but they’re undecided on what exactly.

We enjoyed the food very much. The menu is huge and you have a wide selection of Asian dishes. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was very busy when we visited, so I would recommend making a reservation.

We celebrated our birthday there and were spoiled. Food and service excellent. Very attentive.

Yen's is really recommended if you're looking for good Asian food. The staff is very nice and the food is simply great. The prices are a little high, but you get good quality - Yen's has never disappointed me and I go quite often. Definitely try it out!

Five stars are not enough! Excellent Sushi, as you can see in my reviews I have visited a lot in several countries and cities, and this is from now on one of my top 3! Yen, the owner, is not only polite and friendly, she definitely loves what she and her husband (the maitre of the kitchen) do! 10 Stars, thank you and we will definitely return very soon!!! Please notice the Swiss-chocolate Dino she gave to my son as a goodbye gift!

Aside from the spectacular food, you'll feel right at home at Yen's. The owner is always present and will welcome you with a big smile and maybe even a hug. Trust me - this place is worth a visit.

This restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. They take the time to explain to the customers the dishes, the culture and philosophy without being pushy. And if course, the dishes were delicious! You can taste the love in them. You have to pay this restaurant a visit.

Yen is the best host ever! Food is very delicious and service is very good. We love to come again.

I am curious how this joint survived for 10 years. When we are the only customers and they mess up our drink order, they bring cold tea, which was barely tasted like flavored water and then comes the sushi. Unagi/eel which is they "specialty" tasted like dish soap, seaweed salad was barried in oil, and then they ask us if we want desert or coffee. We had to remind them we are waiting for another dish. The maanger was micro-managing all employees but they had clearly no interest in the service job. Will never come again.

It was our first time there and we chose the menu for two people. The food was very good and the mixed starter comes in cool ship plates. A reservation, especially in the evening, is recommended as the location is not that big and well attended. The service is attentive and very nice. Thanks for the great evening Yen🤗🙏

Great place, would recommend this to everyone! Been a while ago, the staff is super friendly and well mannered. Sushi was delicious, for us Dutch people everything in Zurich was very pricey, but this restaurant has an excellent price-quality ratio. Had a very nice experience.

It's almost shameful to say that in my 30 years of life I've never been able (or wanted to?) to taste sushi. Nevertheless, I didn't want to let it go untried, so my experienced companion, who describes himself as a good sushi connoisseur, and I headed to “Yen's”. Even in the cold winter month, the warm radiance of the “Yen’s” lettering touches the heart. As soon as you enter the stylish, yet minimalist space, you will be warmly welcomed. The warm-heartedness of the staff will be a common theme throughout the evening until the farewell. Although the restaurant is well staffed, you don't get the uncomfortable feeling you get when sitting in a crowded restaurant. The food and drink menus are brought straight away, and while studying them you forget about space and time for a brief moment. Culinary expertise awaits us as we read through the cards. Do I even need to mention what the food was like? To describe it in just one word: exquisite. The fortune cookies as the crowning finale sweeten the rest of the evening. It's almost a shame to only be able to enjoy sushi now, but as the saying goes: "Better too late than never."

Great place for lunch. It’s in the heart of the city. Only 2mins from a train station and the service is fast. The food was amazing. Had the summer roll and some sushi. Highly recommended.

Went AD hoc and only found space at the bar. We all chose sushi respectively. from the sushi part of the comprehensive Asian menu. Everything happened very quickly and was also very good. The price was also difficult to agree with.

Restaurant located in the middle of the city in a wonderful area. The restaurant is extremely popular and early reservations are necessary. The food is Asian, with sushi also available. The staff is professional and friendly. The language barrier can be overcome and makes the experience pleasant and authentic. The atmosphere is a bit rustic and doesn't necessarily match the photos. We will definitely visit the restaurant again. We will dress more casually. See you next time.

Whether consumed in a restaurant or as a takeaway, it is an excellent authentic Asian meal. The service is friendly and accommodating. Menu variations are not a problem if possible. Waiting times for drinks and food are normal. Always worth a visit.
