Just awesome! This was our first time eating here and we will definitely be back! There were 12 of us and everyone was absolutely thrilled. As soon as you entered the restaurant you could feel the pleasant atmosphere. We received a warm welcome and were very well looked after throughout the evening. Extremely courteous, yet unobtrusive and very professional. To start we were served the “tapas” (unfortunately I can’t remember the name). We had 3 portions for the whole table and really enjoyed this start. Afterwards it was à la carte, I chose the giant prawns (a very good choice). The plate was beautifully presented and the food was fantastic. The rest of the group ate their way through the menu and everyone was thrilled. For dessert there was panna cotta or mousse au chocolat - both desserts were also excellent. The wine was delicious and we left the restaurant satisfied and happy and everyone said: we'll go there again. Although we in this group only go to Geneva once a year, perhaps there will be another opportunity sooner. We can recommend the restaurant without reservation.

I promised my colleagues a genuine taste of African cuisine and Zanzibar delivered an unforgettable experience. We savored an array of authentic dishes, including the delightful chicken in coconut sauce, flavorful nyama Choma, succulent prawns, perfectly cooked rice, delicious plantains, and exquisite spinach. Every dish was an absolute delight and lived up to our expectations! The service was impeccable. Our waiter was incredibly attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed and providing great recommendations. The chef, a wonderful host, went above and beyond to make our dining experience special. Zanzibar not only serves outstanding African cuisine but also provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant for an exceptional culinary journey and remarkable hospitality.

We recently visited Geneva and this restaurant was very close to our hotel, there were seven of us and the restaurant accommodated us with excellent service and outstanding food. We all agreed it was an excellent choice.

I find this a shame about so-called African cuisine which is far too westernized in terms of taste. So (a little) bland dishes for a cuisine coming from a continent rich in spices & co. The place is cute, the music is nice, the same goes for the customer service

After one week of long meetings and sandwiches, it was gratifying to find a restaurant that served "home cooking". The food is as authentic as they get and I especially liked the Nyama choma.

Delicious, plentiful and excellent staff, what more could you ask for? Eggplant caviar offered by the house as a very refreshing aperitif. Cassava fries, beef samosa, lamb shank and yasa chicken, we had a great time!

This place has an African spirit embedded within, the music and the food give a homely atmosphere. You can never feel homesick with a place like this.

Restaurant near Geneva train station, easily accessible on foot, there are several parking spaces around but the spaces are very popular. You also have the option of parking in the Novotel car park opposite, but be careful the car park is very narrow, please refrain from large cars. The food is good, but rather expensive for what it is. The staff is friendly and helpful, most speak to you in English and speak little French. You can also order a drink at the bar, the cocktails are tasty. Great discovery in Geneva.

First time in this restaurant and not disappointed. The service is a little slow but it's worth the detour. There were 25 of us, everyone had a different dish and the cook delivered. The dishes are good. I would have given 5 stars just for the cook who was alone in the kitchen. The service on the other hand is slow and this is not necessarily linked to the cuisine (drink service...).

The tapas serving is fingerlicking and the chili is hot, not for the faint hearted!!

A friend introduced me to this restaurant and it was a real treat. The meat samosas as a starter, although a little small, whet the appetite served with a sweet sauce. Then, the bongoyo seafood plate is a real treat. It was very fine, well seasoned, consistent with the bongos and its portion of rice. Without forgetting the cold sauces served separately. Special mention for the green one. Succulent! The price is a little high but given the freshness and quality of the dish, I don't regret it. The atmosphere is friendly, perfect with friends, for a birthday, between gentlemen or as a couple. It's simple, the restaurant was full and each table had a different configuration. It gave even more character to the place. Small downside for the service. Not attentive, we had to ask for our order several times and the wait was a bit long. But it was worth it, and also, there were crowds, so we'll forgive them this time! Flat level, I recommend without hesitation!

What a wonderful and unforgettable experience. It is a very classy place to go to, the food and biting are to die for. Whether it is for dinner or aperitif (drinks and tasty bitings), I highly recommend it to everybody. It fills up pretty quickly, if you want a table better go early or make a reservation. Excellent!
