A little paradise! You are close to the city and yet completely away from the hustle and bustle. Worth a visit in summer and winter. Easy to combine with a walk or Aarebad.

A nice little restaurant, with lots of space and options for children The brownie was good, a bit of a wait in the off-season was to be expected and perfectly fine. 👍

Good service and quality bread for brunch but suuper expensive! We paid 98chf for 3 pieces of cheese, bread, coffee, juice, 1 small granola, few pieces of cold cuts and 10 pieces of olives :D

Incredible place in the middle of nature, surrounded by chickens, goats & sheep and a playground. Great atmosphere and perfect for families with small children. The food was also very tasty and prepared with a lot of love. We will be back!

A beautiful place for brunch. Unfortunately it was about an hour before we had the first course and another for the second. The first course was missing cheese and was generally rather boring and had little choice. In addition, the confit was not self-made. The second course was inedible due to the combination (a matter of taste). Water and orange juice (not self-squeezed) were on the tables, only later did we find out that these also had to be paid for separately. A ridiculous "brunch", not recommended at all!

The place in and of itself is awesome! But the Zehndermätteli team rounds things off perfectly. Very friendly and humorous service. The menu is very clear and does not offer an exaggerated selection. The dishes are freshly prepared and made from seasonal products. Everything we got tasted wonderful and was very tastefully prepared. It was great fun to eat in the restaurant, we'll be back and bring our friends with us :-)

Beautiful oasis in the Aare loop. The Zehndermätteli offers a great offering for connoisseurs and can be reached via the ferry from Bremgarten or via the Rossfeld through the forest.

We had booked for brunch with several kids and adults. The brunch was very good and had many different treats. From cheese to ham and bread to müesli. Then there was a second round with a poached egg and salad. The first plate was very good and it was presented in a pleasing way on a big wooden board. The second plate with the poached egg was good but i would have liked to have the egg less boiled and the amount of salad coming was to much in my opinion. but that is complaining on a high level. Recommendation is to reserve before hand as the space is limited. The restaurant can be reached by car, trough a small way in the forest. The restaurant space is good and there is enough space so the kids can also play around without bumbing into other tables.

Wonderful place so close to the city and yet a little oasis. Aperitif by the fire followed by a fine dinner in the dining room. Between courses from the chef himself, flowery description of the next course. Attentive, warm staff. I would be happy to recommend Zehndi.

Fine dining is INCREDIBLE. Local ingredients exquisitely cooked. One of the best in Bern by far, in a really cosy location. Top personal service. Great wines. Foodgasm pur. Go there!!!! Really.

We found the brunch extremely mediocre. The bread, Züpfe and croissants were dry and looked like they were from yesterday - that was the biggest no-go for us. Toppings were extremely modest for the price. The lettuce was very sandy, several mushy leaves, just not washed well. A drink could easily be included in this price. We won't eat here anymore.

A little paradise. Bern's oasis! Holisticness is the top priority: sustainable, integrative, invigorating, regional Permaculture, culinary excellence and pure experience.

In itself a very nice place, I always enjoyed being there. But this summer I had a glass splinter in my salad. Luckily nothing happened to me and I spit out the food as soon as I noticed it, but nothing more than the money back and a half-hearted apology from the service came. Also no asking later how I'm doing. Since then, I no longer trust the food there. I hope that something like this never happens again and that the restaurant operators take the incident seriously!

It's a shame that the place has changed a lot. I used to go there a lot, even with children. Now the food buffet is no longer there and casual dining somewhere on the beautiful grounds is no longer possible. As a result, the place loses a lot of its child-friendliness.

A beautiful, inspiring place to stay and enjoy. The food is always delicious, with ingredients from the local nursery. There are definitely creative chefs cooking with skills! The social commitment to their employees with refugee backgrounds, the permaculture gardening, and the various animals (chickens, ducks, sheep) make this place an unforgettable experience. I always enjoy coming back. Even in winter it was a pleasure!

Unfortunately, the service has deteriorated somewhat since the change. For example, you have to sign up for food if you want something guaranteed. Therefore, a spontaneous visit is not possible. The waiting time for food is sometimes very long. What I personally think is a shame is that the ferry doesn't run for very long, so you almost have to come by car if you don't want to take a longer walk. The location itself is still beautiful, but has lost some of its charm.

Very nice place. 3dl of below-average iced tea for Fr. 5.00 is disproportionate☹️. The service at the counter is friendly but not very efficient. Drinks will no longer be served to passers-by from 6:00 p.m. Reason due to closed company🤪. Conclusion: The concept in Zehndi still has a lot of room for improvement.

In itself a great concept, great people and just nice that such a communal place exists in a great location. The staff are great and the area is welcoming and in much better condition than it was years ago. Concept & staff get more than the available stars. But it's a real shame that this great, open and people-friendly concept ends with food. The Sambusa & Kübbe were nice, but the portion was really tiny. The tubs contained perhaps 10 grams of meat and made up about 10% of the entire portion. Parsley is nice, but you don't want to eat two courses that consist largely of parsley. The soup, like the rest of the food, was boring and was probably served primarily as a cheap filling side dish (it neither tasted oriental nor was it well seasoned). The dessert, on the other hand, was super delicious (sweet and cheesy is a great combo). Overall it was passable but definitely not worth 38 CHF. The food itself was probably worth less than 10 CHF, even if it was tasty. As I said: The ambience is great and so is the concept. But it is very contradictory to be a social entrepreneur and at the same time be so expensive that no middle class family, let alone the families of the employees, could/would like to afford such a menu. The price-performance ratio should improve, the menu needs to be more transparent (the Kübbe should probably not be listed on the menu due to their small number (2)) and the concept should become more family-friendly again. The syrup and the great staff is a good start. Perhaps simpler “soul food” would be more suitable for the location than such “intellectual” cuisine. Falafel, tacos, etc. would also do well with the ambience.

It's a shame what has become of the once brilliant Zendi brunch! Location is excellent and idyllic. But: Neither bread nor plaited bread is fresh, three möckli of cheese, a thimble of butter. Waited 45 minutes for coffee. Unfortunately not anymore!

Great location and cozy atmosphere. Can be easily combined for a beautiful walk in the Aare forest. Very child & dog friendly. Delicious and professional cuisine. Very nice and attentive service. We have already made reservations for the next brunch.

Actually quite good. But the Linzer cakes are 3cm wide and cost 5fr, so the reason was organic, which doesn't work at all😠. But you can go for a drink. In addition, the toilet simply stinks.

We were able to enjoy the 9-course menu “Fire & Ice” in the beautiful and cozy restaurant. Before each course, the chef told us his thoughts on the next plate and explained the origin and preparation of the food. Each plate was a work of art for the eye!! The food was VERY tasty and prepared with a lot of love down to the last detail and was always ready for an exciting surprise!! For the "Pres Dessert" we all even went outside to warm our marshmallow on the fire bowl. The well-rehearsed and friendly cooking team had everything well under control and the service was very warm, friendly and attentive!! We really enjoyed the evening at the Zehndermätteli with its many culinary highlights and are happy to recommend it to others! (TOP price-performance!!!)

Dear Zehndermätte team, It's been almost a week since we were able to eat with you last Friday, and I still reminisce about the culinary delights every day. It really was an exceptionally great evening with you! I feel like we basically just talked about food all evening. It was so exciting and stimulating, the topic was endless. And over the last few days I've said again and again: I haven't eaten so well in a very, very long time. But a colleague at z’Nüni then topped this statement. She looked at me a little askew and said: I've probably never eaten so well before... With this in mind, I would like to thank you again for this unforgettable evening. I am convinced that we will continue to rave about the pine smoke in the glass cloche, the Gläceli in the cotton candy and the lemon sprig in the praline in the future!

It was so beautiful and the conditions were so nice

We were able to enjoy the 9-course menu on the theme of “wild colors”. It was an absolutely successful evening and worth every franc. Before each course, the chef shared with us his thoughts and approach to the next plate. The service was very warm, the food was extremely tasty and prepared with a lot of passion. You don't overeat, but you can enjoy it until the last bite. We recommend!

Nice fire show today, unfortunately we had to wait a bit long for the relatively expensive fondue. The caravans are originally furnished and there was enough to eat!

Organization was a bit improvised due to the renovation. Service was friendly and brunch was very well staged in the “greenhouse”. Food very good. I'm looking forward to my next visit when everything is remodeled and you can spend some time in the garden.

Are there really only two menus every day in mini portions and at an outrageous price? That would be really close to prison food... And is it true that a beer costs 11 francs and a scoop of cream ice cream costs 7 francs? If so, then you will never see me as a guest!

Nice ambience and very tranquil surroundings. The food is fine and of good quality, but small portions. Price-performance ratio does not match. Operation is chaotic, quickly overwhelmed and not very reliable. Koch reacted angrily when we pointed out that the order had been incorrectly executed. The food was then deliberately given away in an unpleasant manner.

Nice restaurant with terrace, garden, sandpit and play place for children. The food is made from fresh products from the region. At the moment they are restoring the place but you can still enjoy the garden and the beautiful surroundings and drinks too

Was there as part of a celebration and it was great. Very attentive staff and excellent food with fresh, regional products. The company is also geared towards sustainability and also offers integration jobs.

Whether it's an ice cream in the summer or a walk no matter what time of year. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating. There are countless opportunities for children to let off steam and discover nature.

A fantastic place on the Enge Peninsula. Here you can comfortably eat or drink something after a relaxing walk or after the interesting tour of the archeology trail from the Celtic/Roman period with Optimum, restored, publicly accessible bathing complex, amphitheater, etc. The atmosphere is very cozy, surrounded by pure nature! Real fun and relaxation for the whole family.

Unconventional, young, fresh, social, creative. Even though the main building is currently being renovated, the team has implemented a well-adapted gastro concept. The map is small and well adapted to the circumstances.
