Zer Mili in Ried-Brig

I come here every year in my vacation. Untill now it was always good. This year i was really dissapointed. Especially the service was bad! We waited more than an hour for our starter and where without wine for more than 1.5 hour. Unfriendly, no attention. Directly had to pay after dessert. Food was not bad but very small portions and very high price. I come never again after this experience.

The food was good but not outstanding. The restaurant is nicely decorated, the employees seem a bit emotionless, and it was very quiet in the restaurant even though there were other guests there. Somehow the restaurant lacks some "life" and a certain enthusiasm/joy among the staff.

Overall, the food was very good, but unfortunately the beef fillet was too cold, which spoiled the experience a bit. In terms of value for money, we were not entirely satisfied, although the food was of a very high standard, apart from the aforementioned shortcoming.

We traveled from Zermatt for a birthday dinner and the trip was more than worth it! We had an excellent meal here and enjoyed the beautiful view of the Alps. The restaurant is run by a very friendly team - we wish everyone a good winter season and will definitely come back! You can take this opportunity to visit the beautiful old town of Brig.

There were 9 of us in the restaurant to celebrate a birthday. It was absolutely brilliant! From the very professional wine recommendation to the exquisite appetizers and soups that were offered in addition to the extensive menu to the self-created dessert, everything was absolutely top 👍 anyone who is not satisfied would probably have to bring their private inconsistencies with them in order not to appreciate this accordingly - and to evaluate. Yes, we'll be back soon. But without the relatives🤣

Unfortunately, our birthday dinner was a failure. We were 8 people. We had to wait 55 minutes between the starter and the main course. Perhaps a 3 service specialist would have been appropriate here. Of course, the anticipation of our, admittedly not cheap, meal increased with every minute. When it was served, the anticipation quickly disappeared because we noticed that the food was cold. In addition, the fish was completely overcooked. The fact that spaghetti was served instead of pasta also shows great professional pride. As a group, we were happy about the slightly warmed up food. Unfortunately, this made a joint birthday party impossible. I think the good reputation from before is unfortunately gone.

Stopped to get a quick bite at Zer Mili on our way to Zermatt. What a huge mistake. While rated as one of the best restaurants in Brig, Zer Mili was one of the worst restaurants on our trip. The food was so incredibly mediocre, it’s clear you are only paying for the view. You are also not there for the atmosphere, which felt like a funeral where all the attendees are also deceased. I nearly fell asleep while waiting for a summer bowl that should have taken less than five minutes to prepare, but instead took nearly 30 minutes to come out. It was a bizarre combination of vegetables, (poor quality) fruit, two pieces of lettuce, over-buttered rice, and dry chicken at a cost of 25CHF. I’ve had better bowls at fast food restaurants in the US. My partner’s meal was not any better and instead of the salmon he asked for, they brought him chicken. I regret the money and time I spent at Zer Mili, and I caution anyone who is planning to go there to go only for the view - not for the food.

You won't get in without a reservation... You will be warmly welcomed and accompanied to the table. Even the first greeting from the kitchen was delicious. I then ordered a 5-course menu. Each course was unique and there were very finely coordinated dishes on the table. We treat ourselves to dinner out every now and then, but we haven't had such finely coordinated and well-prepared plates for a long time. The new chef opened here 4 months ago during the Corona period. Luckily he came here to Upper Valais. The service worked great and was very satisfactory to us. The price was also fair.

Definitely would come back here when I'm near this place. Since we came in late they gave us great advice on where to go after our visit.

Impeccable ambience. Very neat service. Extremely friendly and attentive service. The mixed salad was very fresh and the Italian dressing served separately was very good. It would also have had French dressing on the side without being asked. The bison fillet was very fresh and the cooking was perfect. French fries alumettes as they should be. The fitness plate with the perch fillets from Raron was also very tasty.

We made sure to make a reservation before arriving in Brig and had a lovely experience on a nice calm day…. And usually I don’t write auch loooong reviews, BUT that evening was too special 💙 Starting early with an aperitif we took the opportunity to enjoy this one in the open terrace to catch the last warm Sun rays. Then dinner 😃 The starters were just great, we had salads and prawns and a most surprising tasty Thai soup, wow! main course : we chose the fresh fish and bison filets , all cooked to perfection (numerous choices of sides ) and served from the bubbly friendly well trained staff… All thumbs up guys, 100% sure to return, that’s necessary to try more from their superb wine menu (didn’t know that swiss wine could be so fantastic meeting international standards)

Wegen Covid mussten die Restaurants während vieler Monate schliessen. Endlich konnten die Restaurants die Terrassen wieder öffnen und die Gäste dort bedienen. Ich konnte es kaum erwarten, bis mein Lieblingsrestaurant wieder öffnet. Auf der grossen Terrasse im Restaurant Zer Mili haben sie mehrere Zelte aufgestellt und liebevoll eingerichtet. Alle Zelte werden beheizt. Heute, also am 16.05.21, war ich mit meiner Familie dort zum Mittagessen. Wie immer war das Servicepersonal äusserst freundlich und bediente uns hervorragend. Wir fühlen uns in der Mili einfach wohl und gehen immer wieder mit Freude dorthin essen. Für mich persönlich ist es das beste Restaurant der ganzen Region.

Das coronabedingte Konzept mit dem Zelt auf dem Balkon hat sehr gut funktioniert. Die Küche ist wie früher: hervorragend

Nach 7 Wochen Lockdown durften wir im kleinen Kreis ein vorweihnachtliches Essen im Zer Mili geniessen. Wie immer war Marianne die perfekte Gastgeberin und Köbi der absolute Chef in der Küche. Seit nunmehr 10 Jahren sind die beiden eine Bereicherung in Sachen Gastronomie für die Region. Wir freuen uns bereits auf den nächsten Besuch und wünschen uns, dass Marianne und Köbi uns noch lange als Wirtepaar erhalten bleiben.

Essen war sehr gut ,Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Preise sind mehr als gerechtfertigt. In allem ein schöner Abend und können es nur weiterempfehlen. Wir kommen wieder.
