I made a reservation online for lunch at the Gasthof zum goldenen Kreuz for three people. We were given a shady table on the large garden terrace. Although the order was taken quickly, part of the order was forgotten due to lunch service. The lunch menus were very inexpensive and good-bourgeois. All in all, we paid CHF 160 for three people including wine, which is a top price/performance ratio. The staff was very friendly and attentive despite the lunch rush. Gladly again 😉

The building is old and beautiful. I feel like I’m in a museum. The bed is very comfortable. The shower is amazing- the water pressure alone could launch a Space X mission, and the shower head is hand held. This may seem like a small thing to some but not to me. It’s a detail that shows some thought went into guest comfort. The staff are terrific, and the food is excellent. Be prepared to bring a translate app because the menu is in German, but that’s not a complaint. I have a nearby business interest so I will return to this area in the future. Whenever possible, I will always try to book my stay here moving forward.

Schönes Restaurant, im Sommer mega schön und man kann draussen die Wärme geniessen, während man Eis isst oder ein eiskaltes Getränk trinkt. Der Brunnen kühlt ausserdem die Luft auch ein bisschen. Wirklich eine Tolle Oase in der Sommerhitze.

Wir haben das Valentines-Special bestellt. Es bestand aus Vorspeise, Hauptgange und Dessert. Dazu gab es eine super Anleitung wie mann die Gerichte zu Hause noch fertig zubereiten muss. Das Essen war sehr fein! Der Preis war mit 105.- ok. Gerade zu Corona Zeiten finde ich solche Angebote einfach super! :)
