We had dinner there on Saturday for our 11th wedding anniversary and we were very satisfied. Very friendly staff, and the food was simply great, the plates were warm so that the food served stayed nice and warm. The fries were just great, fresh oil was used for frying so that the fries had a beautiful golden yellow color, our horse steak was perfectly cooked, the vegetable side dishes were cooked to perfection and tasted perfect, the herbs and garlic butter was homemade and a dream . Oh yes, the salad we had as a starter was fresh and seasonal, and the dressing tasted perfect too. The price-performance ratio is absolutely appropriate. But long story short, we will come often.

Ate a fine game menu, venison schnitzel with lots of game side dishes, large portion. Serving daughter very friendly and accommodating. Ambience very nice after renovation, but now a little noisy, echoing. Occasionally we also eat a very nice pizza. Restaurant highly recommended.

Le hasard nous a conduit une premiere fois dans ce restaurant. Un accueil tres chaleureux et un service parfait. Nous avons mange un sublime emince zurichois. Le patron est venu nous saluer a notre table. Nous rajoutons que tous ont fait l effort de nous parler en francais.Nous avons tellement apprecie ce succulent repas en septembre que nous sommes revenus pour manger la chasse. Meme accueil et service. Le civet de chevreuil etait un delice et la garniture tres complete et genereuse.Nous y reviendrons avec un tres grand plaisir.

A very nice restaurant in the center of Plaffeien. Rustic furnishings that match the surroundings. More of a local pub, but you can also eat well as a tourist. Nice service and good food, prices average for Switzerland :)
