The pasta is delicious, the meat is partly tough. The 3 portions, served in the medium pan, were too small. When we asked about after-service, we were told that the noodles had run out. We attended the Cocktail Mix course as a group. Since the course leader didn't speak German fluently, there were quite a few communication/comprehension problems at the beginning. Raffinierte Kombinationen, wie Salat mit Granatapfelkernen, Nüssen mit einem Hauch orientalischem Gewürz oder Hirtenkäse, verwöhnten unsere Gaumen. Ein Genuss war der rosa gebratene Rindsrücken, fein im Geschmack und butterzart. Die Zitronenmousse überzeugte durch ihr frisches und fruchtiges Aroma. Wir hatten wohl kein Glück, da wir ein knochiges, durchzogenes Kotelett auf der Pfanne hatten. Viel Knochen, wenig Fleisch und aucc nur lauwarm... dazu Polenta und Gemüse, welches gelungen war. Die Vegivariante war leider sehr kreativlos. Es gab Polenta mit Gorgonzola. Auch da hätte man sich etwas mehr ins Zeug legen dürfen, da der Vegitrend immer grösser wird. Der Dessert für zusätzliche 12 Franken viel sehr klein aus. Das angekündigte Glace musste man wirklich auf dem Teller suchen! Ansonsten Atmosphäre, Service sehr gut... mein Fazit: kein Wiedersehen.

Die offenen Küchen und das hippe Design des Restaurants, machen einen Wochenabschluss perfekt. Wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient und es war von Anfang an klar das dieser Abend zum ausklingen perfekt wird. Eine kreative Kochkunst zu geniessen und anschliessend einen Cocktail mitten in der Stadt zu trinken “Einfach top”.Zusätzlich wurden wir am nächsten Tag eingeladen zum brunch. Das Erlebniss ging weiter und das Preis-/Leistungsverhältniss stimmte komplett in diesem Restaurant. Sehr zu empfehlen. Ich wünsche dem Restaurant zur Werkstatt noch einen gelungen Start in St. Gallen und bestimmt auf ein Wiedersehen.

Mit grosser Vorfreude besuchten wir dieses neue Lokal in St. Gallen. Leider war die Enttäuschung umso grösser. So winzig wie die Tische war auch das Fleisch zum Hauptgang: 2 dünne, mickrige Scheiben.
