A few steps from the cathedral. Informal environment with lovely tables outside. Very fresh and varied breakfast "desserts" (a spectacular blueberry muffin and red fruit cake). The cappuccino was a little too frothy (but that's my personal taste) but enjoyed with pleasure nonetheless. Normal prices (it leaves me a little perplexed that cappuccino and cake cost the same....). Overall, definitely a good place to relax and have a chat 👍

Beautiful venue located in the center of Lugano, a few steps from the lake and easy to reach. Unfortunately I can't give it 5 stars, the price is high, I spent 5 euros for a coffee and a pasta and a cold welcome from the staff, otherwise the place was very clean, even the toilets were very clean.

Very nice little cafe right on the steps between the city centre and the main station. The staff was genuinely nice, especially the guy at the coffee machine. There are small pastries to choose from, like brioche and croissants, and some savoury options like toasties and home made focaccia, and the prices are very very reasonable! The coffee is better than any other I tried in Lugano so far. They also have oat milk! (Latte di avena / hafermilch ), which no other establishment seemed to have 👌🏻 Thank you!

The first to offer me gluten free bread options in Switzerland, I am grateful to Fabio the chef for offering farinata de ceci and it was so delicious I took some as takeout as well. Nice surroundings, friendly service.

Friendly service, the best Portuguese wine, the best Swiss beer, in the best, well-frequented location in the pedestrian zone right next to the cathedral....., =>.....and then also fine pastéis de nata... but also other simple, delicious dishes! You feel comfortable here 😀

very well looked after and cute in a very choreographic area of ​​the city (maybe it's just me, but it reminds me of some small streets in Paris). run by two young guys who are super motivated to give their best in fact, everything that can be done at home... is homemade. they really deserve to be supported, opening a public business certainly requires - these days - a certain courage and certainly a lot of passion. so why only four stars? because we only drank a coffee and a cake... 😏 so the evaluation is rather an estimate of what will await us when we return... maybe for lunch (with fresh pasta and sauces - obviously - homemade), or for brunch (we were told) and then I'll be able to give the fifth star too! I'm pretty sure of it, in the meantime I'll start giving them some well-deserved publicity... 😉

Delicious croissants and cappuccino

I have to say I haven't had such delicious, warm, fresh croissants in a long time mmmm I love it with a café.

Great spot for having a drink with appetizers while listening to some live music. The attention couldn't be better, the food is always fresh and delicious and the location is magical. Ah! Vegan ice cream is incredibly creamy and tasty, absolutely recommend to try it!

Dare to go up to the cathedral, to discover a magnificent and welcoming place -> 12zero4. Run by a young couple who transmit their love through their culinary offerings. They are attentive and select quality products. The “Homemade Foccacia” is a real delight. An address to remember. For our part, we enjoyed discovering this beautiful, peaceful place, to eat where you are served fresh products at reasonable prices, rather than staying in the crowd and eating traditional and expensive ++. This cafe, restaurant, and wine bar just below the Cathedral and at the start of the pedestrian zone going down to the lake is an absolute gem -- a perfect place to start your day with a coffee and croissant, enjoy a pasta or pinsa pizza for lunch, or end your afternoon with an aperitivo. Giulia and Fabio do everything here -- the baking, cooking, and serving, and are warm and gregarious hosts. I lived in an apartment nearby for about ten days and was here just about every day of my visit. Very highly recommended!

Located in a characteristic area of ​​Lugano, 12Zero4 is a restaurant that I highly recommend visiting, not just for lunch. From breakfast to aperitif you will find delicious proposals prepared with care and always presented with a creative streak by Fabio and Giulia, young and passionate managers and chefs. Today, for example, I tasted the exquisite pear and black chocolate cake, a real delight. If you are a lover of soups, soups & co. don't miss the weekly offers. (one day I heard a tourist commenting on the potato and leek cream soup that was served to me "uhh diese Suppe sieht aber gut aus!"...yes, he tasted it with his eyes, but I savored it with my palate and I assure you that it was worth it!).

Very suggestive restaurant, located in one of the most characteristic areas of Lugano. Good choice of culinary offerings, exquisite, refined and very delicate food. The managers, Fabio and Giulia, are professional, welcoming and attentive to customer needs. I regularly frequent the place during my lunch break and have always been more than satisfied. Absolutely recommended!

Finally in via Cattedrale there is a restaurant where you can eat very well with a delicious coffee! Giulia and Fabio are very nice and kind young guys.

We went for coffee with my father on the terrace. We settled on the terrace on a table in the sun that had not yet been cleared away. The waitress arrives, doesn't greet us and begins to clear our table, complaining and telling us: couldn't you have sat on the other table? (because next to us there was a table already cleared). I politely reply that this table was in the shade. My father then told me that the table would have to be cleared anyway. At this point, the maid practically insults my father by teaching him how to do his job. I noticed that inside the restaurant there was a diploma from the Ecole Hôtelière. Coincidentally, I have been teaching there occasionally for 2 years. This waitress' behavior is deplorable and if the diploma belongs to her, she is not worthy of it. However, I would like to salute the kindness of the chef inside the restaurant and the quality of the coffee.

Beautiful, very welcoming place, I ate with my family and met the managers, truly exquisite and very professional people, excellent food, kindness, hospitality, the chef, Fabio, very good, cooks in a sublime and very varied way, the waitress Giulia, very kind and knowledgeable professional, good guys, place to recommend, PS I have been a chef for 35 years and with a lot of experience even as owner, I say that I am the top in Lugano!!!!!

In this restaurant you will find real delicacies! The chef can prepare delicious Portuguese specialties. Of course, there are also many typical products from Ticino. Can only recommend. Very good for breakfast, coffee, lunch and aperitif. They speak German, Italian, French, English, Portuguese and Spanish.

Did you say Brunch? From 12Zero4 the best you can find in Lugano, Giulia and Fabio have created a familiar and welcoming place, full of breakfasts and excellent meals. If you go to Lugano you have to stop by and visit them.

The restaurant is very well located. We are always very well received by Giulia and Fabio. Generous cuisine prepared with fresh produce, very good desserts and almost everything is homemade!!! I recommend with my eyes closed and I would return there on my next visit to Lugano to taste your hamburger

The Genoese focaccia was good, but the pasta with ragù was shamefully overcooked and the ragù was almost meatless. Definitely not going back.
