A shame . A tourist trap. We seat you, we take the order and after serving you the water we tell you 25 minutes of waiting and then we serve you a risotto which only had the name and a shameful price (a scam) a piece of beef too much cooked and melted for three at €32 head not even hot and melted. Report to the tourist office to avoid damaging the image of a city.... Avoid shameful service and cuisine...

Ate a fondue there couple days ago, Literally the best location and most affordable restaurant we’ve eaten. The waiters and employee are very welcoming and professional. Good vibes, good music, and hard working. I highly suggest that location to anyone passing by in Geneva and wants good quality service and good fondue and cocktails. Beautiful place with quality service

We had some beers and hot chocolate. They were great, the only improvement was that they didn't have the Londron draft beer that was on the menu. As it is located in the square, it is a very good place to have a drink, watch the world go by and chat. The service is very efficient, there is a bathroom on the second floor and a large lounge too. They leave a blanket to keep warm if it's cold.

Excellent place on the main square of the old town. You can eat excellent local cuisine, or simply sit down for a coffee, a chocolate or an aperitif while enjoying the view and the walk.

The waiters on break use the ashtray on my table and take 35 minutes to take the order.. I am a regular at the place, I can confirm that it was indeed the golden apple, no doubt

What an exquisite experience at the French restaurant we recently visited! From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable, with attention to detail and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The food was absolutely divine, with each dish proving to be a culinary masterpiece that delighted our taste buds. A big shout out to Chef Hamaza and his talented team, who clearly put their heart and soul into every creation. The presentation of the dishes was as impressive as their flavors. This restaurant is a must for all fans of Swiss cuisine. Without a doubt we will return!

Everything, up to the meringues (!) was too Salty. It is not possible to salt the dishes to this extent. The salad dressing, pasta and even the meringues were horribly salty. Incomprehensible, knowing that there is salt on the tables for those who want more. For this price, not knowing how to season a dish is unacceptable. And I won't talk any more about the crazy idea of ​​salting a meringue!

Restaurant to avoid at all costs! To flee from now on concerning me. The terrace is beautiful but that’s it! Non-existent and disastrous service. Waited a very long time to get our dishes, I politely and kindly asked the waitress for olive oil and bread who replied that she would bring it right away. False promise! The olive oil and bread never arrived! After having finished my rucola sprinkled with 3 pomegranate seeds which were chasing each other, tiny and rare pieces of salmon cooked in a hurry and having landed shredded on the bed of salad, we waited patiently, very patiently for the first waiter who had deigned to take our order. After 1h15, the time since our arrival, he arrives and we order the cheese cake. Serious error! Wait again! Then the waiter finally arrives, but… without cheese cake. There is none left! I ask for the bill which arrives a little later. Oh! The cheese cake is there!! I kindly explain to the waiter who has never deigned to apologize for his poor service, that I am not paying for a dessert that I never had. He leaves to add up the bill, without apology. Of course!

This is our local bar/restaurant we go to at least twice per week for dinner or just to have a drink. We just love this place. Ideally located in the oldest square in Switzerland, the restaurant serves delicious food, the coffees and cocktails are amazing but what makes this place even more special is the staff: professional, warm and friendly. They always make us feel at home. A special shout-out to Jordan and team who always go the extra mile to ensure our visit is comfortable and fun. A must if you are in Geneva. My partner and I love this place where we go 2 to 3 times a week for dinner or simply for a coffee or a drink. The dishes are delicious, very well presented and the location is ideal. But what makes the place even more special is the team of waiters and waiters who do everything possible to make your visit as pleasant and comfortable as possible. A special mention for Jordan who always ensures our well-being. You can go there with your eyes closed for a drink or dinner.

Landed there recently, on one if these beautiful last summer nights, The restaurant was busy mainly for drinks/aperitifs (a bit pricy overall but the daily dish is 'only' frs 28), hence I was not surpriced that we were among the rare tables dining there. As to my fondue here's a 'variety' I have not tasted ever: it was served not only with white bread but also... roasted potatoes! Positive outcome: happy to take these home with more take away from hubby's lamb dish rounding up 2 dinners for next day - a relief for the wallet!! I certainly recommend this place for proposed plats du jour between Tuesday-Friday !! Last but not least: service was attentive by young, cheerful team very familiar with many regular clients on that Saturday night.

I always thought that the purpose of a restaurant/bar was to serve customers, well that is not the purpose of this place, after 10 minutes waiting a sullen waiter arrived with no desire to serve.

We felt that it was extremely expensive. 10.5chf for a beer that you can buy for 3.7chf or 6chf for sparkling water.

A great restaurant where the welcome is truly magnificent. Audrey is simply adorable and the food is delicious. The fondue is a pure delight. Go through the door with your eyes closed. Thanks again for the half and half ☺️

Had lunch today at noon with a work colleague. ordered 2 burgers and sparkling water. burger came with a salad and…..a caterpillar in the salad…waitress took a picture and the plate…no apologies. Didn’t charge for 1 burger and offered coffee … bad attitude and miserable service…avoid !!!!!! Rip off !!!!

Family lunch on 02/08, a very windy day. Only tables in full sun remained, Audrey our waitress kindly set up a table for us under the other parasol which unfortunately had to be closed quickly due to the wind. We eane so possible disaster to be installed inside and Audrey was immediately attentive to us. RAS on the session and the friendliness. So thanks to Audrey. We have eaten well. Small remark on the prices though... it's Switzerland okay but compared to France it's more than twice as expensive for the same dish...

The big music festival scam. Minimalist hot dog (with fries) for 16.- Club sandwiches (a poor piece of toast) not even toasted that have been lying around in the fridge since morning, I have already eaten some of the best on the highway. When there are limits to abuse… even in Geneva

Food was pleasant, but service was cold and unwelcoming.

Horrible service. Seated and ignored for 30 minutes before deciding to leave. The head waiter was aware that we had not ordered, looked over at me, smiled and continued to play on his phone.

Came here in the afternoon for a nice cocktail to enjoy in the sun - the service we had until that point in every other restaurant/bar was outstanding so we had high hopes but that unfortunately that didn’t last long. We were waiting outside for a table and after 15 minutes of waiting, we then had to sit ourself down. After a further 10 minutes, what looked like one of the managers came over to take our order but we had not received a menu - we asked for one and in turn, received a frustrated sigh whilst he went to get us the menu. We then waited a further 10 minutes for our order to be taken but no one was coming over so has to stand up and get the attention of the waiter. We then proceeded to get our drinks and enjoy the atmosphere and agreed we’d have another… both managers on duty continued to walk by us, ignoring us and only attending to those around us… we had been sat there for 30 minutes waiting to order another drink, trying to call out and just to be ignored at which point we decided to just ask for the bill as there clearly was no interest in serving us any more drinks. After a while longer, we managed to get the attention of the manager who served us our drinks and when asked for the bill, threw the card reader onto the table and proceeded to make us feel as though we were an inconvenience. After had paid, he just walked off in a huff and we left as soon as we could. The worst experience in my whole time in Geneva - will definitely NOT be going back there again.

For a lunch this will work very well. The service, on the other hand, leaves something to be desired even if the manager tries to do his best. Averagely responsive waitresses. Coffee requested twice, dessert arrived 20 minutes later. They will make up for it by making commercial gestures and are pleasant in the end.

Terrible service, rude waiter. Bad attitude towards English speakers. I saw the waiter with curly hair put his finger into customers’ drink to take out the ice in front of their face (after the lady explicitly said she didn’t want ice). He could not remember what people ordered. I heard multiple people nearby complain of the poor quality of service. Worst place I have ever been in Genève. I would give zero star if the app allowed.

All that's missing is a real cook for this restaurant to be one of our good addresses. Despite the very friendly welcome and vigilant staff, just have a drink there! 1.5 or 2 years ago, the kitchen was great, what happened? Not being able to cut a hamburger patty when the request for cooking has been notified rare is worrying. 2nd attempt in 1 month, we give up. Damage.

Nice to sit outside on a sunny day. Actually, 75% of the charm of the place is the setting. The food is ok, menu is limited, i find. Staff is friendly but always overwhelmed. Also the kitchen closes at 2.30pm for lunch, which is inconvenient.

5 stars for the waiter who told me there was no more syrup but who served me a monaco

We were very warmly welcomed by Nicolas the director who took great care of us throughout the lunch meal. The terrace being very busy he seated us inside while waiting for tables to become available with a drink. I have rarely been served as well as here in Geneva, even in the big hotels in Geneva harbour. A big thank you to Nicolas and his team, who even in times of “juice” welcomed us and served us like kings!

We came with fragile people with disabilities in wheelchairs. What a deplorable welcome: no sympathy to help us move the tables and a ban on moving the flower pots on the tables (which hindered us from helping the people we were with). Remarks unsuitable for this type of clientele ("you are obstructing the passage of other clients", "we can't put anyone through now" when we were just settling in and clearing the way!). The staff were more concerned about us moving 3 tables and 1 flower pot than taking our order. We do not recommend it, especially to people with disabilities, unless you like feeling unwelcome and not at all welcome! Distressing. Shocking.

A little romantic dinner on the terrace this Thursday 11/11. A warm welcome, very good advice on both food and wine/cocktail pairing. Jordan knew how to receive us. The menu offered is balanced and for the dishes we tasted, it was a delight! We will come back with pleasure!

Very good establishment located on the historic Place du Bourg-de-Four, in the old town of Geneva. The welcome is always warm and the approach/service very professional. Special mention for the team in general who are very friendly. The coffees, hot chocolates or other hot drinks are always of very good quality. For the table, the food is also excellent, with the dish of the day every lunchtime which is always made up of good produce and the menu which is often renewed (with the classic burgers, entrecôte, ravioli, etc.). Ultimately, going to the Golden Apple means adopting it.

It is a shame not to be able to give 0 stars or -5 stars. On November 6, 2021 around 1:20 p.m., we arrive on the terrace. Immediately a waiter prepares a table for 4, seats us and leaves. After about 15 minutes, he comes to take the order, but without the card. We ask him to bring us the drinks menu first. After waiting for about 15 minutes, he returned with the drinks menu, dropped it off for us and left. So we wait for an employee to take our order, but without success. Then, after a long time of waiting, we called another waiter who pretended to be working (walking around and stirring air) and his response, with a blasé look: "Wait!". A few minutes later, we call on this same person and he pretends not to see us or hear us. We've been on the terrace for about an hour, we're waiting, the waiters come and go sometimes empty-handed, but no one to serve us. It's around 2:20 p.m., a 1 hour wait and we ask a waitress if she can take our order. She takes the drink order verbally (no note-taking) and leaves. At 2:45 p.m., we are still not served, see the waitress pass by our table, just like her two colleagues before, but no order in sight. It is around 2:50 p.m., we decide to leave the establishment. And then the first waiter (who seated us when we arrived) arrives to clear the table and seat other customers and says to us: "You're leaving! Don't you like that?!" We point out to him that nothing can please us, since we have not been served, after more than an hour and something of waiting. And there, surprise: he offers us to stay, saying: you don't want me to take care of you "now"? We inform him that after more than an hour and something (for information from 1:20 p.m. to 2:50 p.m.) of waiting it is not very professional (in fact the customer who was waiting to collect the table seemed surprised, either by my response, or by the fact that we had waited more than an hour and not been served." It's been a while since I visited this brewery, but what's certain is that it's the last. It's all well and good to complain about confinement (Covid-19) and closures due to the pandemic, saying that they are responsible for the fall/permanent closure of certain establishments. In my opinion, dear restaurateur friends, you and your employees are primarily responsible for your lack of professionalism. The brasserie lives up to its name: "A la pomme d'Or", where customers are taken for apples.
