Bought cakes several times and quality is not exactly matching the expectations. When pistachio tastes like almonds or amaretto, it's clearly a sign; not to mention creams or dough, which are often "dry".

The "pain au chocolate" tastes like yesterday! Scam, better go to coop or migro bakery area

I find it scandalous to charge 4 sfr for a bread which is mostly air...most often overcooked...and quite shirt in size. This shop has been pushing their prices up each year and the quality has gone downhill. I find it poor quality at best.

The worst bakery in Geneva and very expensive! We bought the Christmas cake (buche de noel) for chf20.- => disgusting, industrial flavor, lower quality than any cheap supermarket! Run away from this place… taking advantage of lost tourists in the train station

Organized racket given the quality/price ratio. Choose the adjacent coop and its products of similar quality, much cheaper...

I am surprised by such bad comments about this place. I come back regularly when I take the train and I must say that I find the service efficient and friendly and the products offered have a wide range of choice and good quality. Obviously at 9 p.m. my pain au chocolat was no longer very soft and, at that time, a small discount for the last loaves of the day can always be welcome, but it's a reference place that didn't bother me. never disappointed!

Totally overpriced, mediocre macrons. Don't buy

Well, we have to dot the i’s. If you want good pastry, go your way. On the other hand, if you have a craving, then go to Migros which is 40 m away or to the adjacent coop. You will not necessarily get better, but above all cheaper! Their croissants 2/5, pain au chocolat -1/5 inedible… price 1/5. Note: for the moment the best choc bread in Geneva: at Mage.

A scam…. They forgot half of the things I had bought in the bag, even though they were well priced. I only realized it on the train… Avoid

Croissant au jambon. Not fresh (it was in the am) from at least the day before. Disrespectful really, especially for the staggering price of chf 4:20. Disappointed. At least staff is pleasant and professional.

VERY Expensive (double what you pay at Migros Coop) for an average quality only and very small portion (pain au chocolat just so small 😂 Never again! A scam for tourists or bankers!

Saleswoman who lies! I asked if her pain au chocolat was fresh and made here and she had the audacity to take offense by telling me that of course and that she wouldn't sell me a 30 day old pain au chocolat. The pain au chocolat was absolutely not fresh (probably defrosted and was more than 24 hours old) and what's more, it didn't look like a pain au chocolat. A. Pougnier bakeries are not artisanal but industrial with products that can be heated on site or defrosted. You have to stop lying ma'am :/

2.20 fr. the simple croissant??!! You can have the same one next door at Migros for 1.00 fr! It's totally imp'

unlike other comments, the salespeople are always on top and smiling. the pastries do the trick and the pastries are quite good.

0 star because the price is so high and they don't like to serve non-Europeans or non French speakers. I speak French but they don't like to serve me even though I smile at them, my guy doesn't speak French, horrible experience for him too. However, I noticed them to be serving Europeans with a smile. Better have a board outside 'Non Europeans are not encouraged'. Waste of money and time. Best to avoid

The chocolate eclairs don’t taste like chocolate for a significant price (4.30 chf)…

But who are you to charge such crazy prices???? Long live the tourists who fill your pockets. An amazing pain au chocolat + 3.-

Too bad, the quality is lost. And what about defrosted delicacies whose crust flakes off at the first bite? I am against waste, but advise your customers and lower the prices for pastries from the day before yesterday.

Disastrous customer service, the salespeople are so bitter, it makes you lose so many customers even though I really like what you offer. Nothing to do with the service of your colleagues at the pougnier in the old town. Consider doing checks (mystery shopper) so that you can see the quality of your salespeople.

Staff as adorable as they are efficient, good products and the little shortbread or chocolate with takeaway coffee adds sparkle to your day!

I have never seen such a bad, bitter and execrable person as the pixie cut saleswoman. Madam, I wholeheartedly pity you for acting crazy when you are just asked where I should leave the tray. How I pity you Madam for having such a sad life to attack people when they ask you a question

Purchase 2 pain au chocolat, even frozen some are better. And the icing on the cake is an unknown element in the croissant. Avoid this place for your own good!

I took an almond croissant and a normal croissant, and it was almond bread, the normal croissant was not flaky, it was normal bread. Very disappointed 😔

It’s my go-to place when I’m in Geneva. For a gift and for myself, I have to stop there. For me, these are the best macarons in Switzerland, well above LaDurée. More rounded, softer and with lots of flavors. A little sadness seeing that the Chocolate-Passion was no longer there, I hope it comes back quickly, it's divine🤤 In the meantime, always well served, the salespeople are alert and always very patient when I make my choice⏳ 😬 and very friendly. Always a pleasure to stop by😁

A nice place to grab a quick pastry, baguette or snacks. Some pastries could be better, like the chocolate mousse is thick and heavy.. Service is good and friendly I recommend the Macaron and chocolate éclair

Passing by, a peasant bread which was nothing extraordinary.. There is less and less difference between supermarkets and traditional bakeries... One more point for the friendliness of the saleswoman. Bravo, because this is becoming so rare.

Never rain I will go, after the second time which served me in a very questionable way with months this pastry is finished! Lousy customer service!! And expensive and tasteless products!! There are better places to buy specialty foods!

Some things are very good, but not all generally very good, especially considering it’s in a train station. Staff have always been nice to me, so not sure what the rude comments on other reviews are about

The staff seemed unmotivated. The salad is completely overpriced! Unfortunately it was also boring in taste and not worth 14.00 (to go)! I will not visit this bakery a second time nor will I recommend it to others.

Very good ham and butter sandwiches

The staff is courteous and helpful but for the bakery... I don't dare call it a bakery! The bread sold to you is expensive and the quality is low. After 24 hours, your bread will be as hard as a log!! Even the ducks didn't want it, that's to say. Go to Migros further down and you'll get what you pay for.

I wanted to come into this little shop to buy pastries on my way out of Cornavin. I had my first trial this evening. The lady was very nice when asking us our order, and then she dropped our tart on the counter from the mini plate it was on. She just put it back on the plate and proceeded to checkout. WT..??? Okay, I believe the counter is super clean given the health situation the world is in now. But it was not like the very last piece they had it at the shop. She could have changed it to a new tart, because I am pretty sure she knew we saw what she did.

Great bread & always very friendly service!

I ordered 10 frosted mandarins at more than 6fr each for our Christmas meal: no taste! However, the tangerine is a fruit that has a lot of flavor! We only smelled sweetness! For the price I found it very disappointing!! I still give one star for the saleswomen who are friendly even at 7 a.m. (and who kindly received my complaint about the tangerines). I add a star for their Petite Vaudoise and their Valais rye bread. I will never buy a dessert there again though!

The pastry is very delicious especially the cakes but Jesus every time I go there the employees are rude. I first thought it was just one worker but apparently most of them are rude all the time. Such a pity since I really love the pastry. Cakes 5*, customer service -4*

I just bought a tomato mozzarella sandwich Tomatoes are tasteless Same for mozzarella And the bread is stale 6.60chf I can only advise avoiding this bakery (at least for the sandwiches)
