I really, really enjoyed the meal. I could feel that the owner was considerate and attentive. There were a lot of groups of customers, but I ate a really delicious meal and there was no inconvenience. There was a lot of food. I don't have any pictures because I ate it as soon as it came out.

A masterpiece!!! The atmosphere...temperature...humidity...everything was perfect... Thanks to this, the congestion that occurred during my trip to Switzerland went away...! Above all, I highly recommend the soft tofu stew!!! The Korean meal prepared with shiitake mushrooms, squid, shrimp, and soft tofu without sparing any ingredients was truly impressive! Plus, the owner's pick-up service ㅜㅜ I was worried about how I would get home due to the heavy rain, but I am so grateful to the owner who drove me to the hotel door🫶🏻 Fighting, crab boss💛

Very authentic Korean place from food to staffs and the decorations. The Korean owner has been here for more than 30 years, very friendly and hospitable. My friend and I both wanted to come back again. For Korean food, definitely a must go in town!

The best restaurant you must visit if you stay in Interlaken♥️ The food is very delicious and all the staff are friendly. Kimchi stew, stone pot bibimbap, and stir-fried pork are delicious.

The waiter was very interesting hahaha. The food portion was quite good. We were prepared to replenish the rice a few times, but we didn’t expect that one portion would be enough.

It was difficult to find a Korean restaurant that was open until 10pm, but thanks to the delicious food and the cheerful owner, I had a great time eating Korean food in Switzerland. It was great that they gave us small talk between meals and kindly showed us shortcuts to the accommodation. In particular, be sure to try the Kimchi Samgyeop Stir-fry (Kim Sam-bokkeum)!!!! It's really delicious

The worse Asian restaurant I have tried. So many things were wrong with this place in particular HYGIENE: - found hair in my food -lipstick on the whine glass in which they got Prosecco (from a CAN) -manager came with a Prosecco glass which was AGAIN dirty and I said you got a us a dirty class again - he said “glass is dirty but it taste good, no?” Shocking -cold food which was never changed after I complained - they redone my food which had hair in it and it was still bad the second time, but with no hair the only difference - first time I hear restaurant do NOT serve tap water to charge you almost 10 franks for a bottle of water - manager brought us the bill said said look I took of Prosecco (which we did not have) instead of taking a dish which had HAIR in it. Disgusting, dirty place. Do not eat here. I think this restaurant have lots of high reviews because of all tourists which come on a bus and they are hold hostage until they leave a good review.

The food is really delicious. The pork belly tastes the same as what you get in Korea, and the kimchi tastes like the sour kimchi from Jonggatjip, which is sold in Korea. A must-visit restaurant when you come to Switzerland. They also sell Chamisul. It's really great to eat while looking at the Jungfrau view. The restrooms are clean and the facilities are good. Of all the Korean restaurants I've been to in Europe for a month, this is the best.

Alex was incredible, the spicy beef Bulgogi was absolutely amazing, and a perfect way to try a Korean restaurant for the first time. I strongly encourage anyone in interlaken to make the trip to this restaurant. Definitely start up a conversation with the owner.

I went there with high expectations, but it didn't taste like Korean. (Korean food tastes 80%, but is somehow lacking 20%) The tteokbokki had crumbled rice cakes and tasted like vinegar. There were too many mushrooms in the soft tofu stew, so it lost the original taste of the soft tofu stew. Still, I enjoyed it and was very thankful that I was able to eat Korean food in Switzerland!😃 The staff were friendly and nice.

This is a Korean restaurant I went to during my trip to Paris and Switzerland because I had a hard time eating only bread. I ate it very well and it was delicious haha. It was a taste you wouldn't regret even if you went for a day. In particular, the owner is very kind and takes good pictures. p.s. Drink it with beer, not soju ^.^

Authentic Korean restaurant run by Korean owner which there are very few in other parts of Europe and US. We came here 3 days in a row because first night, it was so good that we knew we had to come back.lol The dishes and the service were top notch/best!!! After closing hours at night, when there were few taxis available, the owner kindly took us to our hotel, the entire dining experience was incredible!!!

The side dishes are delicious, the ssamjang is very delicious because it is homemade ssamjang, and grilled sour kimchi is so delicious!! It was the tastiest Korean food I've had in a long time!! The owner was also very kind and cheerful! My husband hurt his leg, and I really felt the kindness of Koreans when he took me to the hotel. Thank you so much. Even though it was a bit of a walk, I don't regret going to Are Restaurant one bit! Okay, so they are busy. Food was worth every Franc. I've had korean in London, Aachen and Nürnberg. This is hands down the best. No ambiance unless you are really into bright light, but come on. You are going to eat, not to fancy.

Very tasty food and a very communicative boss, with whom we had a long, nice chat. We really enjoyed the spicy but not too spicy table BBQ with pork, 3 special pickled vegetables and rice. The cold, slightly carbonated rice wine was also a positive surprise, even if it didn't look very good in the pet bottle. Mochi for dessert were also good. And in terms of price, we also found the gastronomic experience to be very fair. I can happily recommend the restaurant.

I am traveling from Paris to Switzerland. I got a little bit sick on the way home, so I decided to visit because I thought I could relieve my motion sickness with Korean food. I ordered sunchi, which was most recommended in the review, and the stir-fried pork and green onion pancake, which I wanted to eat. I had a really delicious meal with my girlfriend. I found an Airbnb and walked from near Ost Station, which was a bit difficult, but the food was so delicious that it was worth the effort. The manager was also very kind and I was touched by the warm welcome hehe. I will go again. Until then, stay healthy🙃😆

It was the best of all the restaurants I tried while on my honeymoon in Europe!! Especially the soft tofu stew... The combination of soju from a far away country was really... I loved hearing the soft Korean music, and the owner was so cheerful that we had a great conversation. It was fun and enriching!!!!

and… . It really makes me cry. This is my 11th month as a Korean traveling around the world, and I can confidently say that it tastes better than restaurants in Korea. Definitely try soft tofu stew. Definitely try it. It's Jindtobaegi soft tofu. There are plenty of ingredients, but the taste is so spicy that you'll want to keep eating it. Trust it and go. I've been to quite a few Korean restaurants while traveling to 35 countries, and this one is truly number one👍 I really want to try other things, but it's a shame I'm alone. I'm sure it'll be delicious. There is nothing to say about the owner's friendly response and service. The pleasant environment, atmosphere, and even the view... this is my first time writing so sincerely as I was so moved by everything!!!! If you come to Interlaken, Are Restaurant is a must!!! Enjoy your meal everyone and have a happy trip🎶

Was recommended by a friend there's an authentic Korean restaurant in Interlaken. And true enough! Loved it! Ordered 순두부 찌개 and 막걸리 and it made me feels like I'm in Korea. The interior is very Korean themed as well, with very nice sakura flowers. 사장님 is really friendly and he made sure to talk to all his customers and make you feel welcome and at home. Filipina ates are also very friendly. Wonderful overall experience and should I come back to interlaken in the future, will definitely be back! 정말 감사드립니다 사장님! 😃👍

During my Swiss itinerary, I went to Interlaken because it was famous for its famous Korean restaurant, and it was a really good restaurant 🙂 I ordered rice cake skewers, soft tofu stew, and stir-fried pork with beer, and it was so delicious that I hesitated and even ordered kimchi stew to fill my stomach!! There was something wrong with the food at first, but the owner responded quickly and kindly, and the food was very delicious👍🏻 In particular, the soft tofu stew was tastier than the one sold in Korea, and the soup was rich and rich! (I didn’t really like soft tofu stew, so I thought about not ordering it, but I really highly recommend it👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻) The owner is really kind🥹 I really enjoyed it~ May you prosper😀 (Next time I go, I definitely want to try pork belly!!)

I found this place because I was tired of greasy food. As the rating says, it's very delicious. I asked for the kimchi stew to be a little spicier, and they made it really delicious. I also ordered pork belly and it tasted like eating in Korea. The quality of pork belly was also good. I was able to chat in Korean for a moment with the handsome and humorous owner, and the food was delicious, so I felt like I was in Korea.

Korean food in Switzerland ㅜㅜ.. I was having a hard time due to morning sickness, but I really wanted to eat kimchi stew, so I went there.. I ran as soon as I waited for opening time. The owner took a picture of me before the food came out, so I was very thankful ^^ The reviews say it's expensive, but for this quality in Switzerland, it's not expensive at all. The stir-fried pork is also spicy and very delicious. The owner and wife are really kind and I want to go again. I’ll stop by again before I go to Korea^^

I went there because I really missed Korean food in Switzerland, and my husband came for a company workshop in October last year and said he loved it. I visited again!! Today I ate 2 servings of Budae Jjigae, and the quantity was large and the seasoning was good, so my cold went away!! It was nice to be able to talk a lot with the owner. After going to First, it was so cold and I felt like I had a cold, so I stopped by because I wanted some hot soup on the way back to the accommodation. Last year, I stopped by during a company workshop, so I went right away this time too without looking for a separate Korean restaurant. My wife and I went and ordered budae jjigae for two. The hot and spicy soup makes me feel tired right away. To exaggerate a bit, I'll get over my cold and go back right away. The food was delicious and the owner was so welcoming. Thank you~~~^^

Absolutely 100% a big hole in the earth 🌍The worst experience is the worst restaurant, which requires the intervention of the tourism management department and the law to protect consumers. The worst restaurant... This leads me to question the authenticity of the positive reviews and the application process itself. I believe this matter warrants attention from tourism regulatory authorities to protect consumers from such egregious experiences. This was, unequivocally, my worst dining experience globally, highlighting a significant need for consumer protection.

One second I say I will help you grill the meat, and the next second I go to pick up the guests elsewhere. Then the meat you grill becomes mushy, and finally you ask the guest, "You have to turn the meat frequently, nm..." …Who said they wanted to help me get it? Did I travel through time? The worst duck I have ever had in my life (couldn’t keep eating after first try) the beef tested like a bad bolognaise. The dumplings - no comments. Hard to be sure in Interlaken with all these overrated places. I would try to avoid it again with my life

I finally found Korean food on the 9th day of my trip without any Korean food. It's been a long time since I ate rice and kimchi, so my mouth was really happy. If you stop by Interlaken while traveling in Europe and are hungry for Korean food, you can come here haha!

If I have the option of zero stars I would have given it a negative. Seriously those who reviewed this restaurant have never eaten proper Korean food?We voiced our dissatisfaction and the owner offered the dinner on the house but no. We pay so we have the rights to review. Lemme break down my dissatisfaction into the following points: 1. Taste Convenience store level. The kimchi comes from those packet kimchi in convenience stores and it has got to be the cheapest, I forgot the brand but it was the that cheapest on the shelf which I bought out of desperation; not even the averagely priced ones. Don’t get me started on the bulgogi, meat and kimchi jigae; even shin ramyun tasted like delicacy in comparison. The bulgogi is just sweet. You can’t taste the pork nor the onions, just a massive mash of brown paste. The kimchi jigae, super salty with cheap kimchi in tiny pieces as if we are only worth eating the “leaf overs”. The bbq is not marinated, just 4 slabs of pork breast?? Blasphemous to the max for bbq at this price. The pain is that it tasted bland and has cartilages?? Banchan tasted like salt and pepper and they were not fresh AT ALL. You get dried beans out of the long beans wth?? Kimchi, convenience store stuff, nuff said. And the sour fungus with a piece of capsicum is incomprehensible. You can give me either or I don’t know, make capsicum edible or cooked with the fungus or I don’t know how. 2. Service Like I owed them money. Seriously, we spent over 100 Swiss franc, had to bbq the meat myself, the waitress was busy smiling and serving the LOCAL guy on the other side (if you get what I mean) and forgot to turn on the fire and when we asked if they would bbq for us we got a wrinkled impatient reply of “no, you cook yourself”. Asked for banchan refills, got ignored. Asked for lettuce, got a reply of “you pay 3 francs”. Never had I visited any Korean restaurants in the entire world (UK, MY, KR, CN and NL) that has charged me for lettuces. They gave each portion 6 pcs… and we had 6 pax and ordered 2 portions so yea. Where I came from, it’s a sin. The funniest thing was, as a Korean restaurant with bbq, they don’t have a proper hood to suck the smoke so we all stank after dinner. The owner nicely showed us his disapproval and asked if he could open the door instead because of the smoke out of the pan. Our fault for having no one to control the fire, bbq ourselves and the owner not wanting to build a proper hood? 3. Facilities and others. Clean toilet. Available seats despite no reservations. In conclusion, I hope the owner doesn’t purchase reviews and be sincere in improving his food and services. This is so bad it brings shame to other good Korean restaurants. To the guy who told us we Asians eat rubbish because we needed some comfort food after this disaster, try travelling, country bumpkin :)

We can't quite understand all the 5 star reviews. Apart from the boss, who deserves 6 stars, we don't know why the restaurant gets such good reviews. Dining room like a big waiting room, absolutely no atmosphere...the food: selection very sparse (usually can never decide), in this restaurant I really hardly knew what to order and the quality, well...so we've eaten much better in there a Korean restaurant. We also really enjoyed the food… What bothered us most was the smoke taste. In our opinion, it is simply not ideal to offer grilled food if there is no ventilation or separate space.
