Tom yum kung in Interlaken

I’m Thai and this is a legit Thai restaurant. We ordered fried rice, omelette, Tom Sab, Som Tam, garlic pork and everything tasted just right. Oh and they take credit card now. Definitely recommend!

Overall, if people eat bland flavors, it's delicious. But if they eat spicy flavors, they won't be satisfied. This restaurant has a neutral taste, suitable for foreigners. All together can be used.

I went there today with my family. The food was absolutely delicious, and the flavors were so authentic! 🤤 I highly recommend trying their Tom Yam Kung and Fried Ginger Shrimp .The ambiance of the restaurant was also really nice, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience that I can't wait to repeat! 😄👍

Service was slow at times but the food was brilliant. The pork ribs and Tom yum soup was delicious, the fried rice was also great. Space is cramped, I was eating with a group of 10. Drinks took a while to be served though.

Come eat at this restaurant 2 days in a row. Authentic Thai food taste Som Tua Pu Pla Ra is the best. Noir than some shops in Thailand Pad Thai is correct and not wrong. Everything is delicious. Use good quality ingredients. Really love it.

Meal was disappointing as we had high expectations since the pictures in menu looked so good. Actual dishes were bland, smaller, or completely misrepresented. Only pad Thai dish was most edible. The duck was tough, tasted like it was from frozen batch. Red curry was ordered to be mild but came spicy anyway.

The food is delicious, the staff and owner are very friendly and provide great service. The shop is not far from the accommodation and train station. The shop is right at the bus stop...highly recommend.

Moo Kratiam ( Pork with Garlic) and Tom Sab kradook moo are on the same par as those found in an excellent restaurant in Bangkok. As a Thai I can attest to authenthicity of this restaurant. Decoration reminds one of no frill restaurant in Thailand.

Honestly, I was hesitant to enter the restaurant because of its humble shape, but after I entered and tried its food, I became happy because I tried it. I enjoyed this unforgettable experience a lot.. I highly recommend the Tom Yum soup , but it's very spicy . So good.

We sat down. Of course we missed the tiny sign that mentions 'cash only'. Ordered, and only a few minutes later saw the sign, had to cancel the order, and to get up and leave. What kind of a place in modern Switzerland, one of the most touristic places in Europe, 2023, doesn't accept credit cards?! We went to a small Chinese next door (Vivi) and had a great meal for a lot cheaper and paid with card...

One of the best Asian food in Switzerland we’ve had for days. The lady boss tended to the restaurant alone, but was able to cook up the various dishes we ordered in record time… and they were absolutely delicious! 100% recommend for anybody looking for authentic Asian food in the Interlaken area.

Mixed feeling about this place. Ordered Pad Thai and Satay Gai. She brought out Pad Si Ew and tried to argue the order is correct, just thicker noodle. I had to individually pointed out each ingredients to prove that she was lying. At least Satay Gai was good. Cash Only but there’s no sign to indicate.

Its stated that they open at 11am. We went into the Restaurant at 1.00pm and the owner told us that they only open at 2.00pm with an unfriendly way. We walk around town and got back at 1.45pm but the Restaurant was totally closed, lights off with a sign of Closed. This is not professional. PS: We went to Chinese Restaurant beside. Staff are friendly, food is good and fast, plenty of seats!

They accept cash only, probably avoiding to pay taxes. The authorities should look into this.

Overpriced Thai food with small portions that’s barely enough to keep you full. Service is very slow and they rather prioritise setting up tables for reservations that has not arrived yet than attending to customers who have been waiting to order the food. Most of the flavour from green curry relies on spice, and their noodles are clumpy.

Told us the food will be ready in 30mins. After 40mins when we went back and ask, they said they forgot about our order and there is nothing they can do about it. Terrible service, highly do not recommend!

Made a reservation.....came on time but the super unhelpful waiters kept saying we're full.....like what is the point of making reservations?

We came to this Thai restaurant twice. The owner and staff was very nice and friendly. We ordered Tom Yam Kung, Pad Krapow Beef, Pad Krapow Kung which taste very tasty and spicy like we have in Thailand. Although the price is not cheap but quite reasonable compared to other restaurant. Highly recommended.

Food ordered: Omelette Rice Spicy soup with pork Satay chicken Omelette was Thai style good Spicy soup was good Satay chicken was not satisfying, the coconut peanut sauce had an industrial taste to it and was a bit thin. The chicken its self was not of great quality. A bit jellyish texture. Also they do not accept card payment here so we had to walk to the nearest ATM to deposit cash. They should accept cards in 2023.

Bad quality food ever oily and spicy.

Dine in here with my family on our first night in Interlaken. It was so good that we went again on our last night. Tasty spicy Thai food to warm our hearts and souls in the cold weather. Food was authentically Thai although my wife and I felt that it’s slightly less spicy than what we were used too in SEA (likely to cater to local tastebuds in Europe). Staff was quick and friendly. Ambience was good. Food portion was pretty good too. There were non spicy options for my young son as well. All in all, we had a great time there enjoying the flavorful Thai food esp slurping on a good bowl of beef noodle soup in this cold weather! I would definitely recommend all to give it a try if you are around the area.

Authentic Thai food in Interlaken. We ordered garlic pork & beef noodles. Beef noodles was very good! Serving was good & it was served quite fast. Was expecting deep fried garlic pork instead but it came stir fried. I guess they don't serve the deep fried version which Singapore & Thailand does. But its still very tasty 😋 There's Thai milk tea too. Highly recommend u to try if u miss Thai food.

Tried tom yum gung based on recommendation of other reviews. Tom yum was good but a little too sourish and not enough creamy like those u get in Bangkok Thailand. But if u r at Interlaken do give this a try.

Such a pleasant and delicious experience! The wait staff were quick, attentive, and respectful. The food was delicious and felt authentic (I am not Thai, but I eat a lot of Thai food everywhere I can). The red curry was a great level of spice and the pad thai was very flavorful, not too sweet or salty. If I am ever back in Interlaken, I will be sure to pay them another visit! This restaurant is delicious. For Thai restaurants abroad (Don't read people who give only one star to tease you. My shop is always crowded.) Ton Yum Kung gives river prawns individual pieces and is also fresh. Crab salad with fermented fish is complete and spicy. If I have the opportunity to come to Interraken again, I will come to eat again.

I came based on the good reviews. Initially came around 4pm and the restaurant was closed, asking the chef standing outside but he was acting strange. Foods not meeting expectation with this price, staffs weren’t friendly neither. Not recommend.

A taste is similar as the original, a pork with lemon spicy sweet sauce, a fried pork rib and tom yum kung. Strongly recommend.

I have traveled all over the world with my card (I don’t have any money with me), and this is the first time I have to pay in cash (Cash only says it is written somewhere on the menu). In Switzerland, the restaurant staff didn’t even inform us first. No matter how delicious the food is, it makes me stupefied.

This Thai restaurant in the center of Interlaken has a versatile dinner menu. The food, on the other hand, was quite disappointing. The portions were small and the taste was disappointing. The price-quality ratio is disappointing. You don't get enough for your money. For me only Little Thai in Matten near Interlaken!

The food was decent and prepared quickly. Firstly the restaurant is cash only which is absurd in a major tourist location. The owner also converted francs into euros at a higher rate causing us to pay €2.10 more than the general conversion searched online. Other restaurants we've been to charge 1:1 conversion. Not a big deal but the owner should be transparent at the beginning with their prices. Sneaky calculations is never respected in the restaurant industry.

This restaurant tried to scam me with 2 omelette that we didnt order. When we told them we didnt order the omellete, the waiter argue with us. When the owner come, he take the omelette away and told us the rest of our order he will not procedd. In the end we didnt get our drinks and just got some lousy tomyam and green curry. Those who want to eat in this restaurant pls think twice, not just the price is super expensive, the quality of food are lousy, the staff tried to scam you. Not recommended. Better find other restaurant.

I've never been this intense. I have never met such rude Thais. If they don't feel like it, they should leave it alone. Service = very unfriendly Food = salty, too oily. Rice was served openly on a plate a few minutes before the meal (of course it was then cold) not recommendable!!!!

The food was really authentic and we especially enjoyed the Som Tum Pu Plara and Thai Beef Noodle Soup. My thai wife said it's the best Som Tum she ever had in Switzerland. Prices are fair and the owners are really friendly. We will come back for sure!

Yummy rice noodle soup with beef. I am so strict when eating soup because in most of the restaurant, the soup tastes salty and so much MSG. But the soup here satisfied me.

I ordered shrimp salad for take out but there was no shrimp. So I went there for shrimp but they said its just a shrimp. But the name is shrimf salat😂 and the food looks really different from the menu. Also Taste is not good and the portion is also really small. It's a very strange place;; I ordered shrimp salad and took it out, but they didn't give me any shrimp, so I went twice. I'm not sorry about the shrimp. Shrimp is also 0.5cm. Don’t be fooled by the menu photo.

I ordered pad Thai and a pork dish for takeaway. I think they forgot to put salt into the Noodle it taste bland. Pork dish is alright, very little meat in it. It didn't satisfy my asian food cravings..

Bad experience! It is not about the taste or the price (though it is really expensive), it is about honesty. As you see we had 2 plates of rice, one curry, one fried pork with vegetable, one fried chicken wings and one bottle of green tea. How could there be “fried pork rib” in the bill?????? And the thing that got me angry the most is that before we order the chicken wings (it was just a photo on the table without price on it), we asked the attendant how much it cost and she told us it was 10! That’s why we orders the fried chicken! If I haven’t paid attention to my bill, I would have been charged more!

Man this place hit the spot! Great curry. Wasn't spicy but they give you chilies to add. Loved the coconut sauce they put on the chicken satay.

One of the best Thai restaurants in Interlaken. It runs by a kind Thai couple and it’s very authentic! - Take away 10% discount - I recommend Tomyumkung! If you are over 2-3 people, order a big pot like my picture! Just super tasty - If you like a grilled fish 🐟, show the pic of our photos! The sauce is a full of limes 😋 (we asked the fish, maybe it’s not on the menu) - Morning glory with a bowl of rice is also a great combo 🍚
