A real restaurant with excellent pizzas.

Welcoming atmosphere, attentive staff, fast and discreet service. Nice looking and tasty pizza served hot. If possible I would improve the seating at the tables and soundproofing.

Tourist trap if you don’t know what you’re doing. Only the basic stuff like margarita is worth while. Do NOT order the pasta carbonara, or anything that seems more elaborate. Overpriced for mediocre food. Staff was fine though, no complaints there. Atmosphere is kinda of loud and stuffy, but it’s not unbearable.

Sometimes there's a bit of a wait, but it's always worth it, the pizza has always been delicious every time I've gone. Entering "Acqua e Farina" is a bit like being invited to dinner by friends: the environment is relaxed, the service is top, always with a smile and ready to recommend the best of the menu. And let's talk about the pizza: a real bomb! Neapolitan pizza, with that unique Neapolitan taste. Here Neapolitan tradition meets creativity, and the result is a selection of pizzas that make your mouth water just reading the menu. It's not just the pizza that reigns supreme, however. Decent pizza, impolite waiter. Two pizzas and two drinks.... = 61 CHF !! Never ever again.

Nothing exceptional more aesthetic than taste.

Maybe the visit to water and flour went badly.... Bad luck?? They gave me the spriz with a sandbag that still exists today. We don't know what it was... . They changed it for me.... The pizza was overcooked, both mine and my companion's were burnt, which gave the pizza a homogeneous bitter taste and this is not good.... I give prizes to those who know how to give continuity to quality. Then the second course which were well-made carbonara packets, we waited an hour after the pizza and the place was half empty. We are not....

Don't listen to those who speak badly of it, here you eat real pizza as it should be, the home made pasta dishes are also excellent. Very nice and pleasant service and location. All strictly homemade and with traditional flavours. 5 stars.

Excellent quality of ingredients. Wholemeal pizza is light and tasty. In shape, it is very similar to the pizza eaten in Naples and the surrounding area. The guys are all very courteous and attentive to needs... they even joked with my daughter. I will definitely go back.

This is a real pizzeria as we like them. This traditional Neapolitan restaurant will introduce you to its best pizza and specialties, and you will not be disappointed. The service is ULTRA fast; Just 5 minutes after our order, the pizza was ready! The service is professional and very fast, not much time to chat with customers due to how busy it was at that time (it was 1:30 p.m.). The pizza was excellent! Can be slightly soft in the middle and therefore complicated to eat with your hands, this is the only negative point in terms of food. The caraffe of water was 5.- which seemed a little expensive to me. Speaking of prices, the cheapest pizza is 13.- and the most expensive is 21.- if I remember correctly. In summary, if you are in a hurry and want to eat a good, reliable pizza that respects Italian traditions and all that for cheap. I advise you to stop hesitating and go for it!!

The place is always packed, but I don't understand why. The raw materials and how they are offered are really of poor quality, the service rather confusing (dishes arriving at the table with a long delay between one person and another) although everyone is very kind. I definitely won't be back

We had dinner several times at Acqua e Farina, preferring the outside tables (only possible in summer), the inside fills up quickly and becomes noisy. Their pizzas are delicious, we will be back again.

Here on a quick visit with a friend, I decide to come and eat at this pizzeria. I take the zeppoline with carbonara cream and bacon, good, soft, although perhaps I would have added more cream, and then porketto pizza with mushrooms, mushroom cream, mozzarella and porchetta, good, especially the dough, if I loved mushrooms I would definitely have given 5 however it was one of the few that were very particular and loving porchetta I decided to try that. Very friendly and helpful staff and a very nice place in the center of Lugano

Let me start by saying that I often travel around Europe and I don't mind eating pizza every now and then, no matter where I am. But I have never had such a terrible experience. I ate the calzone pizza. In a pizzeria where you sit at the table where the Napoli flag with Maradona's photo hangs, you expect a pizza that is a real Neapolitan pizza. However, the pizza dough had no flavour, the little inside of the calzone had to be looked for because it was almost non-existent. The cost for two covers, two pizzas and two drinks, nothing to say is average.

The food was super salty. We had ordered the fried zucchini starter and a pizza. The pizza was good but the zucchini starter was so so salty that it kind of put everything to a bad start.

Probably one of the best pizzas in Ticino.. The Neapolitan pizza here taste amazing, service is really good and waiting times are relatively always low. The only negative thing I find is that the knives do not cut very well, having sharp ones for cutting pizza would be perfect!

Unfortunately, the edge of the dough is still raw. Ingredients were too liquid so the dough was soft. It would never have been possible to eat the pizza by hand using the folding technique... Top pizza and very friendly staff

This place still has some tables outside in the street and places inside. The pizza was really good (we took foundations Margherita and Bufalina) with all the ingredients. They have different kind of pizza's pasta but we take the normal one. The fried apetizers were good, but some were not fully cooked, unfortunately. I'll give it another try to taste other flour and other kind of pizza.

There's nothing wrong with the pizza, it's spectacular. There is a bit of a wait in the evening, but it's really worth it.

Must-go pizza spot. We started with the Bocconcini and the Stracciata salad, and got the Bufalina, Diavola, and Reggina pizzas. It’s located inside a mall so doesn’t have the views/atmosphere of some of the more touristy spots, but it was well worth it as the food is incredible.

You must come here. It is hard to find as it is off a hallway inside a building off the main shopping street just one block parallel from the lakefront. Well located, really. As you can see from the pics, it’s a medium-sized homey restaurant good for families, group of friends, couples & solo diners (like myself). It is fairly priced (being Switzerland, that is). The copper pizza over is the centerpiece of this casual eatery. In addition to dining in, from the boxes stacked by the pizzaiolo, they must do a robust take-away business. I asked for a glass of a local chilled white and was served a delicious Chardonnay (less sweet than American Chardonnays). Loved it. Asked for a glass of sparking water & was served an entire bottle. I came for a pizza & had a pizza; loved it. Kept it simple: Margherita with fresh mashed tomates, very light seasoning, basil leaves & the just amount of mozzarella. Do not expect an over-cheesed American pizza. This one is just like the ones you enjoy when visiting Italy. My bill was $26.96 USD for pizza, glass of wine & bottle of sparkling water & service included.

So I have to say that the service was excellent. The environment and the place are very nice. Unfortunately, the pizza didn't impress me, not for the taste but for the digestibility. We know that highly leavened dough is difficult to manage. Unfortunately, tonight's pizza was burnt but not completely dry (i.e. badly cooked), despite the excellent taste and ingredients I struggled to digest it (and I'm 26 years old and have no digestion problems). It wasn't a crowded evening, so I wanted to tell you to pay particular attention to the cooking. See you soon

Great pizza! The service was good but the staff seemed undersized, especially with tables both in and outside and we waited almost an hour after placing the order. When we left (9pm) there was a queue of people wanting to sit. It's worth waiting but don't forget your patience :)

At Acqua e Farina there is the possibility of eating both outside and inside, but there is almost always a bit of a wait. We ate inside and had a great time. The Margherita was light and tasty. There were also many appetizers and desserts that we will definitely try in the future. Courteous staff

Order: Pizza and caprese salad to go. CONCLUSION: Pizza not cut, but tastes very good. Salad was 16.00 and therefore more expensive than the pizza. As you can see from the picture, there are three caprese skewers, which was very lean!

If you want to eat pizza in Lugano, this is the ideal place. The pizzas are excellent. I had no problem cooking the pizzas. The staff is friendly. Remember to come early enough to be sure of having a place because the restaurant is a victim of its success.

Delicious pizza from Napoli, very friendly staff who come from Napoli, great huge salad with really Italian mozzarella, burrata, and so on. That was my first but not last visit... and anyone who says that pizza should be "crispy" then has no idea what Neapolitan pizza is... namely not crispy! It has to be a treat in your mouth! That's the funniest thing when people who aren't from Italy think they know what pizza is supposed to taste like 😉

Very good surprise!!!!!!!! Delicious pizzas. Very nice home. Our two dogs were also very well received. The waiters made an effort to understand us despite the language barrier. The price is high, but is partly explained by the quality of the products and the location.

Actually a great pizzeria. The problem is, very, very long waiting times. You can't make a reservation. Unfortunately, the toilet was generally not a great sight. We were there at 8 p.m., when everyone comes. I think outside of peak times, definitely a good decision, but not a quiet place.

Unfortunately for us, was not as expected. We had to ask the staff several times weather to put our names on waitlist or just wait in line. After 15 min had to know its waitlist by names. After standing 45 min, they offered table outside but we asked inside, waiting 15 min. We got fried mozzarella (ok) recommended as new idea Bread slices topped with cheery tomato ( not taste of mozzarella) not recommended Two pizzas (came watery wet and no taste of cheese although was there) not recommended In general staff was not friendly to us, although we were family (so at least expect nice attitude) In general, never to come back

Finally in Switzerland a pizza like they make in Naples. I am Neapolitan and I must say that both the pizza and the treats are at the same level as good Neapolitan pizzerias. Friendly and helpful staff.

My Italian girlfriend really liked and gigaly approved the pizzas, it's rare! We even went back there during our stay.

A pizza like in Naples. Thin, soft, with an empty and high rim... fantastic tomato and delicious mozzarella!! Pizza brushed by how good it was! Too bad about the prices... adequate for Swiss standards, less so for Italians (prices doubled). I'm telling the truth though: if they were to ask me to repeat the culinary experience, I would repeat it without a shadow of a doubt!
