The first visit was very good... On the second visit we were looked after by the owner couple. Catastrophe. Unfriendly and very rude. Food was very bad compared to the first visit. Probably no more staff and no cook either. Ate the same and 22% more expensive than 3 months ago

Service was great. Very accommodating for our 2 year old toddler. Quiet during lunch time on a Saturday. The food was top notch. We tried the home-made ibérico ham croquetas, the fried fish, the "cachopo style" Cordon Bleu and the crema catalana. We enjoyed all of it very much. It was nice to get a little taste of home in Schaffhausen!

Very nice and attentive staff. Food ok, but not outstanding. Were a little disappointed with the tapas platter, as it was primarily fried convenience food. It's a shame - I'd rather have a little less fried caemares and a few other tapas instead...

Great food, very accommodating, friendly hospitality. The four of us ate various "tabs" in addition to paella and it was fabulous and really Spanish and also very plentiful. Anytime again. Recommended!!! Actually deserves “two bonus stars”.

We were lucky enough to be able to spontaneously eat and drink the finest food and drink on Saturday. The paella was awesome and with so many ingredients. Mega! The wine tasted great and at a very fair price. And it was the staff, Jose and his sister, who really spoiled us. It was a perfect evening at Al Andalus!

Very rude service. When the companion and I expressed the desire to just have something to drink, we were taken to the first floor. Downstairs was 50% empty. We had to sit alone on the upper floor. Operation was then carried out via a bell. The service was not present upstairs all evening. When it comes to the concept of service, everything that can be done wrong has been done wrong. If we had been able to sit with the other guests, if they had tried and recommended something from the kitchen, then they could have generated a lot more sales with us. Especially during Corona times, you would think that you couldn't do without urgently needed income. Here we were taught otherwise. The location itself is very nice and appealing. Too bad. Due to this experience, unfortunately absolutely not recommended.

We went to Al-Andalus for dinner on Saturday evening on the recommendation of locals. First of all: we really enjoyed it! The ambience is quiet and dignified, the hosts are very attentive and friendly, and the food and dessert are delicious. We can highly recommend Al-Andalus and will eat there again on our next visit to Schaffhausen.

With Covid certificate...simple...No Go...There are still normal restaurants....

Nice place, if you feel like having some Spanish Tapas. The quality of the Tapas, was mostly fine with some exceptions (e.g. Patatas Bravas, Meat balls, Bread).

Die Bedienung ist ständig sehr bemüht und durchgehend galant!Das Lokal ist echt überaus ästhetisch möbliert. Keine billige Dekoration, sondern es war farblich das meiste ungemein hübsch auf einander angepasst.Das Futter war nicht das Einzige, welches in diesem Gasthof für große Augen sorgt! Ich versuche in der Tat ungemein gerne neue Lokale aus und bin pausenlos auf der Suche nach neuen Lokalen, aber diesem Gasthaus werde ich treugesinnt bleiben.Mein Mann und ich sind absolut positiv überrascht. Wir beide werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Ever since Jäger's "Fischerzunft", Luciana's "Schiff" and Carlo's "Rotgerbe" said goodbye to the Schaffhausen gastronomic scene, it has become difficult to find a culinary highlight in the Munotstadt. Our visit to Al-Andalus today once again taught us something better: The Al-Andalus lives up to its name! We are personally and warmly greeted and welcomed by the boss, José Rosado! First-class olives and the fruity glass of Verdejo we ordered didn't take long to arrive, so we started with various tapas from the à la carte menu; Excellent, grilled lukewarm pulpo, homemade ham croquettes, gently fried bacalao (cod) with a light herb remoulade and another starter, the Muslitos del Mar,... simply delicious! For the lunch finale, the lukewarm chocolate cake with a liquid center and fine vanilla ice cream - heavenly... José's commitment and dedication pampers us with peace, serenity, without hecticness and stress, but always with 100% satisfaction and excellence! We really appreciate this ambience and it is always a real pleasure and an excellent pleasure to visit the “Al-Andalus” and let us be pampered. We will be honoring him again soon and are already looking forward to a high-quality culinary delight and a cozy and lovely lunch or dinner, ...thank you very much for your always very warm hospitality!

Wir zogen vor rund drei Monaten in die Region Schaffhausen und wurden bei der Suche nach einem Restaurant mit mediterraner - speziell mit spanischer - Küche im Tripadvisor mit dem Restaurant Al-Andalus fündig. Es dauerte dann allerdings geraume Zeit, bis wir zu Öffnungszeiten des Restaurants auch einen Parkplatz in nächster Nähe zu finden vermochten! Wir sind, da wir beide eher schlecht als recht zu Fuss sind, nämlich auf einen solchen angewiesen. Gestern war uns nun das Glück beschieden, dass wir ganz in der Nähe einen solchen zu ergattern vermochten!Das Abwarten hat sich echt gelohnt!Der Empfang war ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend, obwohl wir zum ersten Mal hier im Restaurant waren und kaum mehr ein Tisch frei war. Speditiv erhielten wir dann auch die Menükarte und ebenso rassig wurden in der Folge die von uns gewählten Speisen aufgetragen!Beide Gerichte waren wirklich echt spanisch und high class kitchen! Traumhaft war überdies insbesondere auch unser Dessert - Crema Catalana - der uns echt zu begeistern vermochte!Für uns steht jedenfalls fest, dass wir wieder kommen werden - dies allerdings abhängig von einem Parkplatz in nächster Nähe!
