Our Christmas dinner at the Beckenburg Restaurant was simply phenomenal! We were impressed by the exquisite food and the highly professional service from the staff. It was particularly heartwarming that the charming restaurant owner personally greeted our group and his partner pampered us with her kind and attentive manner. We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this unforgettable evening🙏It was a feast for the senses and far exceeded our expectations!

The atmosphere in the Beckenburg is very pleasant and makes you feel very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The menu is constantly evolving and offers regional and seasonal delicacies. I highly recommend a visit.

During our visit to the Beckenburg we really enjoyed the “game and wine” menu with the appropriate wine accompaniment. The ambience, the attentive service by a committed learner and of course the very high level of the menu impressed us once again and we were completely satisfied.

Very dignified restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately, the parking situation is a bit difficult directly in front of the restaurant. However, there is a parking garage in the immediate vicinity. Our food was very tasty, unfortunately my truffle mashed potatoes were too salty. However, the waiter apologized and wanted to bring a new one. In return I had a free dessert. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant is worth a visit.

“Beckenburg das Restaurant” is definitely one of the top addresses in Schaffhausen. My visit there has now become a pleasant habit and I am amazed every time. The food is always of an outstanding standard and the wine selection, generous and varied, will delight every wine lover. The service is always attentive and competent, which rounds off the culinary experience perfectly. I had the pleasure of dining there at both lunch and dinner and can thoroughly recommend both times. Given the high quality of the food, the price-performance ratio is absolutely fair. A must-visit in Schaffhausen!

Uncomplicated restaurant and dishes with unusual ingredients. I really enjoyed the homemade ice cream. The triangles were very tasty. Very attentive service.

Table dirty, a cloth was left for us to clean. The tree was supposedly to blame. 10€ for the use of an additional plate. Chef was getting louder and louder at the table... Outrageous!!! Cannot be criticized... Not recommended for €130

Ate for over 1000.-, what you then have to offer in terms of service is bottom drawer! Addendum: The man is contacted by email to describe the case, but then receives the answer via Google review. This shows the unprofessionalism of this restaurant.

Our experience was , service good reception The waitress comes and tells us that she is an apprentice... well, everything is ok until then" because we had only ordered the main course, a bottle of water and a glass of wine, a greeting comes from the kitchen, very tasty and creative. Main courses were also so good gourmet level Bravo! So service, at least 7 times we came to the table and asked if we wanted something more, coffee, dessert, etc. I think a few times was enough and I think the whole team is so young, but you notice the big crisis in the gastro (no staff ) think that the trainee has a very bad tutor time. Summer she is there and the level is very low but certainly not your fault otherwise from the trainer it is very clear. +Good ambience +Good food -Service -they almost kicked us out

We've heard a lot about the Beckenburg restaurant and wanted to go there several times, but the reservation didn't work out. So, please reserve at least 2-3 weeks in advance. The food was really very good, Staff very friendly and very attentive, wine list with very good wines from all over World, but also regional wines. Yes, it costs money. Rightly so! Food: Excellently prepared and “almost too bad to eat” presented... and everything is simply above average! Drinks: A glass of wine by the glass can also delight... the final coffee did too. Presentation: Nothing came along "just like that", but always beautifully arranged on a great surface (bread that you can cut yourself with a cutting board and a special knife - great!). The very tasty butter with the bread was portioned in a carefully adjusted manner; Not everything has to be thrown away. Of course, cloth napkins. Ambiance: Simply a nice, warm ambience with appropriate lighting levels. And if you have to use the toilet, there are towels to dry your hands - how pleasant. Service: Very friendly and attentive staff, present but not intrusive, fresh but still reserved. In addition: Beckenburg trains future specialists; that is very commendable! Conclusion: We'll be back :-)!

The service is super friendly, attentive and competent. The food is creative, beautiful and sometimes colorfully prepared - and tastes great. The prices are moderate. I'm looking forward to next time! I've been there five times now and I've never been disappointed.

Best meal we've had in Schaffhausen for a long time. I had the Wild und Wein and really enjoyed it. My wife had the best vegetarian burger. Can highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a good meal in a lovely setting.

Yesterday I met an old friend who I haven't seen for a long time. I suggested the Beckenburg restaurant as a meeting point. My colleague was enthusiastic and full of praise. Not only the appearance, taste and creativity of the dishes but also the attentive and friendly service impressed my guest (and me too).

Consistently top in terms of service and cuisine: No. 1 for us in Schaffhausen! How the reviewer, unknown to us and anonymously hiding behind the pseudonym CC, came up with a 1-star rating is an absolute mystery to us - and actually a bottomless impudence. If this CC (Christian Constatin - or even one of those arrogant Zurich residents - What does a Zurich resident say when he sees the sea for the first time? I imagined bigger... - which [Ro] wouldn't wish on any restaurateur as a guest) in is able, we recommend that he instead self-critically question his own demands and behavior. However, when it comes to the argument ("eaten for over CHF 1,000", note for 10 people...) we have the greatest doubts about the chances of success of such an undertaking. We wish Claudio, Sonja & their crew a house that continues to be well-maintained and filled exclusively with satisfied and enthusiastic guests: in any case, they will do everything for it! We can only warmly recommend the Beckenburg to anyone who has never been there and wants to see for themselves.

That was a surprise, and a really positive one! We were invited by relatives and reading the menu was sobering: nothing vegan, hardly any vegetarian. We then called and were enthusiastically told that they would be happy to cook something for me. When we were there I was told straight away what they had planned for me. My meal was great, creative, and most importantly, both starter and main course had enough protein, so I was full too! For dessert there was homemade sorbets, also very tasty!

The food is not only very tasty, but also has sophistication. The price/performance ratio is excellent. But I would particularly like to praise the service. The lady was completely unobtrusive and yet attentive. All in all a poem and as a logical consequence this can only be given a 5* rating. Many thanks to the Beckenburg team!
