Al Capone in Verbier is renowned for its pizzas, but it also offers an exceptional cheese fondue as well as excellent escargots for connoisseurs. Although I have not explored the entire menu, being a particular fan of their fondue, the restaurant offers a good experience whether you are with family, couples or friends, ensuring that everyone finds something to enjoy. .

I recently went to Al Capone in Verbier. It is de facto a charming restaurant in idyllic Verbier. The food was good - and a good Italian meal also includes a good bottle of wine. So then we decided on a great wine with a specific vintage. To my horror, a completely wrong wine was served without prior warning, including the wrong vintage, i.e. it was a classic label fraud. My tip to the innkeeper: have a better handle on the wine list, especially in a wine country like Italy, this is an absolute must. Until next time and I look forward to a great, flawless wine list.

Great location and owner greeted us and very warm and friendly during our entire visit, food excellent and tasted delicious. The restaurant was recommended by Jean-Marc of Hotel La Vallée (Lourtier Village) and was worth the journey to upper Verbier. Our server mixed up our guests orders several times and could have handled better after the first time as the second mix up was worth and as our one guest didn’t end up getting what they requested for starters. Would go back for both views + food.

The Jura owner of Noirmontt is very nice. Excellent pizza with appetizers as a starter and impeccable service.

I went for a take away and asked for a plastic bag to cover the pizzas as it was snowing hard and I had to walk back to my place and the answer was basically “that is your problem”. Not the same pizza I remember loving as a kid. Al Capone use to be one of my favourite restaurants in Verbier but following my visit and trying their “Al Capone Pizza” I was very disappointed as the pizza didn’t taste much. Chili oil was poor also. On the positives, you still get a complimentary mini pizza upon arrival which is always welcome and every pizza also has a complimentary side salad. 58 CHF for two pizzas and two drinks. Staff were friendly and attentive. However due to the average pizza, I don’t think I’ll be back any time soon.

We go there every year at least once on site and several times to take away. Always perfect. Warm restaurant, delicious pizzas, impeccable service with a smile. I highly recommend !
