Very mediocre service, food was fine.

Didn’t show up to pick us up after we booked the snow cat, confirmed with chez dany where to take it and they refused to get us. Never go there. To give a more complete timeline of what unfolded, here is what happened: To even make a reservation in the first place, it took me seven attempts of calling the restaurant, during their posted business hours, before being able to speak with someone. Prior to that, either nobody answered or promptly hung up on me when I politely asked (in French) if the person on the line was able to speak English as I am not a native French speaker. While I was unsurprised at this rude response which unfortunately is commonly experienced by foreign tourists in this part of the world, I was thankful when I finally was able to reach someone that was willing to help me make my reservation. On the day of our booking, I received a phone call from the establishment confirming our attendance that evening. I took that opportunity to confirm the location of our pickup for the snowcat, which was stated multiple times to be at Carrefour. Wanting to avoid any potential issues, I doubly confirmed that pickup would happen next to the bus stop at Carrefour, and the woman speaking with me again confirmed this, stating it was "just a few steps up the path" from the bus stop. That evening, my group and I made the trip up from the village to Carrefour, arriving 30 minutes early given the infrequent bus sservice at that hour of the evening. We were able to leisurely walk up the path to where the snow began, as we were instructed, and patiently waited for the driver to arrive. After nobody showed up, I called the restaurant 5 minutes after our reservation time. The woman on the phone indignantly told me that we were late and the driver left without us. When I corrected her, she changed her story and said that the driver was there but we were at the wrong place. It then became obvious that she was not going to be helpful, and it was only with more pushing that she finally told me that the snow cat was waiting for us at the Mayentzet lfit. This location was several hundred meters below us on a rocky, muddy slope, and was not accessible. She continued to refuse to assist us, and was clearly defensive when questioned about why she had lied about the driver's whereabouts. In the end, being unable to walk downhill the slippery, rocky ground, we had to find a way back into town. Obviously, a hugely disappointing experience that wasted hours of our time.

Good food and nice atmosphere. However make sure you book for 8 or 10 if you’re 6… had not been squashed like that at a restaurant table for a very very long time… They are obviously trying to maximise the number of clients in the restaurant!

Good food and charming place, unfortunately unfriendly service to the point of spoiling the experience a little. The most expensive mountain restaurant we have visited in Verbier!

I went there as a child and wanted to show my family but unfortunately we weren't able to take advantage of it. The signs in town and the internet said open and unfortunately when we arrived, it was closed. Nothing to discourage us, we will try our luck another time.

Lovely food and location! As snow was not abundant, it required taking off skis to get there, would recommend you call in advance to make sure which is the best way to get there.

A must in Verbier for both skiers and hikers. The view is splendid and there is a relaxed atmosphere. Valais specialties on the menu and various original dishes. Overpriced desserts. Efficient service. Reservation recommended.

Ski toured up to with friends to eat. Takes about 30mins from Place Blanche or they also lay on a snow taxi from Carrefour that they charge extra for. The food is always excellent as is the service. Shots of motte motte to give you some Dutch courage on the way down. Highly recommend day or evening dining.

The restaurant is charming and food was good but after dinner we had to trudge back for 45 minutes in knee high snow to carrefour to get to our taxi. I have a bad back so couldn't sledge down to town and the walk uphill in the snow was excrutiating. They did not offer the snow taxi. This place is not disability friendly nor age friendly especially in the snow in winter. And none of this is indicated beforehand. If we knew we would not have chosen this restaurant. A real pity and not ok to keep clients in the dark.

Lovely place a pity that the manager was extremely rude, unwelcoming and in general severly unpleasant. We were late as we didn't know how to get there not being able to ski there due to lack of snow and ended up walking uphill for 30 minutes in skiboots and with skis and poles. At our arrival we got an absolute earful for not calling to let them know we were going to be late. We were literally scolded loudly in front of the other guests. A simple "please call next time and sorry for having given your table away" would have sufficed. The service was also super slow, but probably on purpose as we had annoyed the manager. A word of advice, you're in the service industry and its your busiest time of the year, learn some restraint.

One of our favorite addresses in Verbier! The panorama and the sunshine made for a great stopover... The food is always very good (even if I found that the fondue lacked taste last time, you have to use a cheese that has more character) but we love the place, the children can play around without risk, they always find us a table when we arrive without a reservation (it's always full...so you have to try it by the way!) and the service is efficient and friendly!

A mandatory event once in Verbier is to visit Chez Dany one evening. Book the Snowcat, which leaves from Restaurant Le Carrefour and takes you up to Chez Dany, where you can enjoy a warm classical Alp Restaurant atmosphere. Restaurant to avoid. the first time I went there, they were closed even though according to Google it was open. The second time, they took our names when we arrived to seat us when a table became available, but immediately forgot about us. We ate dinner with four girlfriends at Chez Dany on a Sunday. The atmosphere for dinner was log-cabin quaint and so beautiful against the winter night snowy backdrop!
