Very attentive and courteous service. The fish was very good.

The location of the restaurant on the promenade (almost on the lake) is great. You can dine comfortably in the restaurant or on the terrace. Food is very good and the staff is friendly.

Regional dishes can be enjoyed right on the lake in the Al Pozz restaurant. The view of the lake is great, our food (including typical polenta) was very tasty and the portions were generous. Only the service was unimpressive, one of three dishes arrived more than five minutes late. This was likely due to a lack of knowledge of the digital ordering system on the employee's tablet.

A cozy restaurant with good service and good food!

The food is good. Certainly there are better pizzas, but certainly not with this great location on the terrace right on the lake. (in the parking lot) the waiter was very friendly and attentive. We also thought it was good for the price.

A very good small family-run hotel between all the "super" hotels We were guests from April 19th. until April 27, 2023 Located directly on the lake. Great views of the lake, promenade and mountains. Breakfast good. There is even a good Prosecco. Very friendly staff. The hotel is very conveniently located. A maximum of 5 minutes each to the train station, the bus station and the information center. Be sure to book a room with a lake view. It is worth it

Restaurant located in an excellent position, I had lunch on the "terrace" with a splendid view of the very relaxing lake. Good service with very friendly and efficient staff. I ordered a slice of beef with potatoes. The bitters at the end of the meal are excellent, I recommend

Price performance is disproportionate to each other. A green salad, carelessly arranged on the plate and drowned in a ready-made salad dressing for 9.50. The perch fillets are too fried and unseasoned. The vegetables from the steamer are bland and lacking in sophistication. The location is the only plus point about this restaurant. > to your answer: unfortunately we weren't asked how we liked it! Of course we also eat a bland salad and a fish fillet/vegetable that is not as well prepared as the price suggests...

It was a wonderful afternoon evening, aperitif with dinner. Waiters risk their lives serving across the street. ;-) are extremely friendly and also have fun. Food is great. It's not overly seasoned, but there is salt and pepper on the table. Ate wonderful osso bucco. Tiramisu was also great. We spent 3 mega hours on the Locarno Riviera. I would love to go there again to be pampered.

Don’t come to this restaurant. The waiters are very very racist. They treated you differently if you don’t look like them. Their service to our table are much slower than others. We asked for the cheese and they never brought it to us. I asked for the black rice and they served the white rice. We waited for 30 min and they didn’t bring us the check. We had to go in and pay by ourselves. The younger waiter looked at us like we were in their way and waved ONE finger to ask us to move away. The older waiter in blue shirt spoke something very rude and walked away without taking the card. He thought we didn’t understand what he said, but we did. This was the worst experience in Locarno, even in Switzerland. Shamed on this restaurant. NEVER COME TO THIS RESTAURANT, it will ruin your mood!!

Food is solid, the chef is definitely not in love, the food is pretty bland, but otherwise it is good. (You can season yourself with salt and pepper). The selection of dishes is very large. Price performance is right because the portions are big enough. Big BONUS of this restaurant: THERE IS A LARGE MAP CONTINUOUSLY, SO EVEN AFTER 2 PM YOU CAN CHOOSE YOUR FOOD HERE BY YOUR FREE PIECE. SUUUUUPER! The service is charming, so you can forgive the fact that it comes across as a little clumsy. My daughter's starter and pizza arrived more than 5 minutes earlier than my husband's water and gin. My Prosecco was a long time coming. For the main course I was presented with the wrong dish, which of course was taken back without any problem. The extra vegetables were even free for my main course, what a nice gesture. The restaurant is located right on the lake promenade. You have a wonderful view of Lake Maggiore. Attention: The Prosecco costs 12.50Fr per glass and is served from a magnum bottle. This should definitely be celebrated, if at all - then at least. The toilet is not wheelchair accessible because it is on the upper floor. There is a nice balcony here, I have no idea whether you can dine here.

Great staff, good food and very cozy

We waited 1 1/2 hours for the food. The green salad also took an hour. The risotto was inedible and the chicken, advertised as a specialty, was far too dry and was tough. The waiter apologized several times for the delay. We live in Locarno but unfortunately we cannot recommend al Pozz. It's a shame for the beautiful place.

Unfortunately yesterday, due to good weather... there were a lot of people and we had to wait more than half an hour to hear you. And we were able to eat after almost an hour and a half. With people who were served before us even if they arrived much later.

After 1.5 hours of waiting, three pizzas still hadn't arrived even though the restaurant was only half full. The service was very inattentive.

The dinner was very tasty. We really enjoyed it and Ferid was a welcome addition with his humor. A successful end to the day

The food wasn't really warm and not very good either. Not recommended - a shame. The place and ambience are good.

We stayed overnight and had dinner at Al Pozz two weeks ago and were informed that the management has recently changed. The staff is very kind and helpful. The food is good although obviously the prices are "Swiss" and for Italians they seem exaggerated, but this does not depend on the restaurant. Very comfortable and clean room with a beautiful view. The breakfast was very good, including the sparkling wine offered after breakfast which however we had to decline as we had a walk in the mountains ahead of us.

Good cuisine and friendly service

Great hospitality. I stayed in Locarno for a week. An extraordinary experience of Lake Maggiore and the Swiss Alps from your balcony. We would like to thank our hosts Marcos and Marie for their family hospitality. I will definitely stop by again. The authentic Italian food was delicious, the location was 1 minute from the station, and the rooms were clean and cute in an Italian style.

We stayed overnight with our twins and the dog, everyone was very friendly. The dog was extremely accepted. The twins got 2 baby beds. Always my pleasure. The view was beautiful.

We were there with a group (pre-registration) of around 30 people, the food and the regional wine were very tasty. The staff friendly and helpful. The tables were beautifully set. Everything went well and we were surprised with a delicious dessert from the house.

The wine was good, but the food was terrible: rubbery pizza dough, pizza calzone with runny egg (the egg white wasn't even a bit solid). We were here several years ago and were thrilled then, but today we are completely disappointed!!! The waiter suddenly couldn't understand German anymore. If someone wants to eat well, avoid this restsurant!

The stay was top notch. The room was equipped with everything you need. Small but nice and clean. The breakfast buffet consisted of fresh products and nothing was missing. The location, right on the lake, was perfect and only 5 minutes from the Piazza Grande. The only disadvantage was that there was no air conditioning. It was around 34° and it didn't really cool down at night. Otherwise everything was fine.

The restaurant has clearly lost some of its charm! Newer furniture is intended to improve the value - but unfortunately the service has also been changed; not for the benefit of the guest. Our waitress was rather “speechless”. Kindness looks different. And the portions are more worthy of an appetizer. The “head waiter” explained to us that he was friendly and that everything was new. After many good years we won't be going there anymore. Really a shame 😩

Unfortunately the grill plate for 42 francs was a package of shoe soles. The service was also unfriendly and we waited an extremely long time, so we really don't recommend it.

Such a shame. Great food, great location. But the rest is bad. Bad service, bad and unfriendly service. Things got crazy when it came to paying. Amount was 23 CHF. I indicate that I want to pay CHF 27 by card, so a CHF 4 tip. However, what you pay for is 50 CHF. Any reasonable person can think that this is not correct.

We had to wait 40 minutes for the pizza.There was no wi-fi for the restaurant guests just for the hotel guests.The waitress was really rude and unfriendly.

You would like to give 5 stars for the service and chef, but only ONE STAR for the restaurant boss. We ordered ice cream together 4 times. 3 ice creams were given out and the fourth wasn't!!! The excuse was that the time for ice cream was already over. Unfortunately there is no understanding!!!

Eat regularly and well here. Today we ordered vegetables and risotto as a side dish with our fish dishes and were amazed when we had to pay a surcharge of CHF 26.80 for the risotto. The lady with black hair snapped at us that that was just the way it was when we asked and we had ordered risotto. We find this very inappropriate. Impression today with our guests: no thanks. Since it was the last time in the evening, there were still lots of stars.

The worst place in all of Locarno We took 1 prosecco, 3 Orange campari and a cappuccino and a black tea... there were no chips, no peanuts and a sachet of sugar for every other drink and after we asked for the campari with a little more alcohol they billed us fr . 9.90 for the correction. NEVER happened anywhere! Last but not least, the COVID PASS is not even required. not recommended

It's a nice place in good weather to enjoy lakeside food and drink. The pizzas are very good. I have been there twice, and while the staff are friendly, the service is quite slow.

We spent 3 days with half board at the Ristorante and Hotel Al Pozz. Our room was clean, large with a balcony and a beautiful view of the lake. 🥰 It was my husband's birthday and I was able to perfectly organize his surprise with the head waiter (Davido) and the chef (Giancarlo). Thank you very much for your help 🙏☺️ This weekend will be unforgettable for us. I can easily recommend Al Pozz :)
