Very nice atmosphere, very friendly hosts, fair prices. Bad reviews may come from hikers (accidentally?) thinking they can use the infrastructure (water, toilet, ...) without asking or even paying a fee.

A wonderful place as a starting point for hikes. Very harmonious hospitality and extremely loving care. As you call into the forest, it comes back. So much for other reviews here. We as a hiking group really enjoyed our stay and recommend a visit to the idyllic alpine farm. Thank you again for the wonderful time with you, Edith 🤩🤗

Very nice hut, delicious food. However, 2 stars deducted when I think of the unfriendly bickering with the lady over a second small spoon. This doesn't make a good impression on the visit given the wonderful surroundings.

The hut is in a great location and almost looks a bit like a show dairy. The staff is very friendly, but we were a bit amazed when I ordered a kafi with schnapps and my partner then asked if he could have some of the great whipped cream that I had on the kafi. The serving lady then said no and I replied that we would be happy to pay something for it, whereupon she ran into the kitchen and asked, and came back again and actually said that the boss had said no. That really irritated us. The food was otherwise sumptuous, the cheese and sausage platter with great homemade cheese and the best cooked smoked bacon. The Rösti sounded better than it was, but that was because the menu didn't say that it was gratinated with cheese, otherwise we wouldn't have ordered it because it was way too greasy, it was more like grated raclette Potatoes. However, if you like it that way, you would definitely be very happy with it

Extremely beautiful area, thank God no tourist temple yet. Very friendly and the food was delicious. Was up there on the motorcycle. 5 stars are not enough.

Large selection of local products at the right price. Brilliant view. Possibility to take public transport to the rehabilitation clinic and then walk up the street (duration, approx. 1 hour). Otherwise you can arrive by car, the last 200m on foot (Gravelweg).

Great host family, traditional Swiss style, friendly environment in a fantastic setting. Easily accessible for everyone. Be it by car (it's best to walk the last part) or with hiking boots. We can only recommend the “Plattli”. It includes: Alpine cheese, sausage, bacon and garnish. IT WAS ALSO pleasantly cool at 1700 meters above sea level, while the heat in Walenstadt was unbearable. Thanks to the tenants germe again in 2020. 😉
