A beautiful place, nice people and good food for a very reasonable price. The view is spectacular! Alp Tschingla can be reached either from Walenstadtberg (steep) or from Lüsis (less strenuous) - but be careful: the access to Lüsis consists of a narrow gravel road and you can only park at the Kurhaus Lüsis (fee 15.-, creditable towards consumption).

Magnificent Älplermaccaronen with a magnificent view. Very friendly and attentive service. The climb is always worth it. Many guests are to be expected on weekends. During the week it stays cozy. Absolute favorite for excursions ❤️

Alp Tschingla is a magical place: high above Lake Walen with a spectacular view of the lake and the valley. And an equally spectacular view up the mountains! The welcome from the family was very warm and uncomplicated. The dinner and breakfast tasted very good and were very generous. The night (dorm or double room) was also very pleasant. After a long, hot day of hiking, taking a dip in the fountain was very welcome and refreshing! The alp is ideal for families (playground) as the end point of a tour or as a starting point for hikers with greater ambitions such as crossing the Churfirsten (via the Chäserrugg or Paliis Nideri) or resting along the high-altitude trail.

Beautiful location, rustic rooms, fine food, rich breakfast. All of this at very fair prices. The nice innkeeper's daughter looked after us and we were able to swim in the fountain.

Very nicely located, very friendly, good food, excellent breakfast. Recommended. The only minus is the inclined beds in the dormitory.

Very friendly. Simple typical Swiss hut menu. Happy to rest here with a drink before continuing the hike.

The friendly host always spreads a good mood and grilled my very tasty pork steak on the grill right in front of the hut. Personally, I prefer vinegar/oil on the salad, but that's a matter of taste. The (red/white) path to the hut from Paxmal is sensationally beautiful.

The Tschingla burger is highly recommended. Prepared with great meat, a huge portion, TOP price/performance! The view is beautiful and the hosts are very friendly and uncomplicated. Compliment!

The Beizli has a garden restaurant with a wonderful panoramic view of the Bündnerland, Sarganserland and Walensee area as far as the Glarnerland and invites everyone to "hocken" in a cozy atmosphere :)

i was there when the weather wasn't that great. ordered an ovi (hot chocolate) and a soup. the soup was a nice, thick flour soup with bread and cheese, whipped cream on top. liked it very much. also since i was the only one there, i had a nice, long and relaxing chat with the guy who takes care of everything there. i'm sure i'll be back.

food is not good, small and strange menu missing traditional dishes. the waitress didn't even know what it exactly was that she brought. the location is great but the food /drinks aren't
