Alpenblick in Kloten

I am not sure if this is the correct location. But i was at terminal E at Zürich Airport. The food and service was good.

Food was okay but very unfriendly staff (asked us what our problem was when we ordered) not recommended

The sandwich and cappuccino were delicious. Impressed with the service, the waitress was so friendly, I spilled my coffee, she cleaned it up and made another one.

15.20 fr for an ice-cold pretzel cheese sandwich and a Cola Zero the absolutely extortionate service wasn't nice either

Do not go. Rude, aggressive staff. We accidentally spilled a full beer, I go to the counter to inform and ask for a paw to clean up. The waitress's response, you see that I don't have time, there are people... And she asks me again for 8.- for a new beer. Total rubbish.

They seemed annoyed and not really interested in serving me... So I left 😉

I recommend getting food anywhere else. Not only is this place so expensive but the service... Sheesh. The food was so cold and the man got offended that I asked him to please heat it up for me.

Icy reception, the waitress was busy emptying her dishwasher so I had to wait for her to finish before she deigned to take my order. I had a salad with feta and walnuts. The waitress gave me a sweet and sour sauce. I go back to the counter to ask for another vinaigrette, I am offered French or balsamic vinaigrette. ultimately they have neither. Between the average service and the salad without dressing, I would go elsewhere for lunch next time.

The cold sandwich was not bad, but for the price… it could have been warmed up at least.

Stopped here for lunch in terminal E before heading back to SFO. Ordered a tall ittinger beer and couple of salads. There is a large seating area with comfortable seats. Great place to eat and spend time before catching the flight.

Food and beverage quality is very good. Due to the number of staff, service may be slightly delayed on busy days. The designer seats next to the bar are very fun and relaxing.

The food was good. Had a small sandwich and a cappuccino. But the prices were very high. Even for an airport. My two items cost over 11 CHF almost 14 US.

HON lounges are always a pleasure. Alpenblick Bar almost makes you forget why you came to the airport. Great views, pleasant staff, delicious food.

Unfriendly staff and incompetent. You can not say more. In the end, nothing was consumed.

Decent place to grab a drink and a snack but the female server was rude. She had a hurry up attitude and get out of my way even though there were only 2 customers after me.

Normally I wouldn’t sit down and eat anything at an airport but I was starving and this was the only place close to my gate (Terminal E). €8.50 for a tiny pretzel sandwich was ok. But €6.50 for a cup of orange juice that looked halfway drunk already… was NOT OK. When I asked for the orange juice I thought they were going to fill it up for for me at the spot as the menu indicated it was fresh, but the staff just picked up a cup that was sitting behind the counter (probably for several hours). Trust me I took the picture before I even touched the food or drink but it looks like someone sipped the orange juice already.

The only place in terminal E where you can eat something. Not a lot of choice and super rude service. The guy barely spoke English, was rude and did not want to heat up the pretzel. Eat somewhere else before getting to terminal E.

Rude server at this place. I got 2 croissants. After paying and before receiving the croissants i asked if its possible for the croissants to be heated. The server rudely said no. They need to work on their customer service and should be polite in their interactions with customers. The croissants themselves were less than mediocre. I recommend looking elsewhere for your preflight snack. I visited this place on june 18, 2022 @8:31 am.

Coffee tastes like water. Sandwich is ok

A freshly tapped Itinger is worth 5 stars on its own 😄 Unfortunately, the Ham and Cheese Sandwich was not really fresh and had the not healthy part of the tomato still in it. Also a bit too buttery, could not taste the cheese at all. The service, however, was good.

Bar cozy but gentlemen! A baguette sandwich with two slices of tomatoes and two slices of ham 10.50 CHF???? a 0.5l Rivella 5.- CHF???? Just way too expensive. Why can you eat in airports around the world without being ripped off and not in Zurich? Dear owner, you have to talk about the books!

Very nice bar in the airport - you can grab a bite to eat there before you fly. Very well and attractively prepared. Of course a bit expensive.

The Cuban is a love of God, personal like that should be fine....she smiles beautifully.

I had breakfast here. The decor and ambience is incredible. I ate a multigrain croissant, yogurt, orange juice and coffee for €16. Pretty standard city price. The view was great and I got to watch my movie befote my flight.

As with any restaurant at an airport it is expensive and does not offer a decent choice if food. Not recommended. But if are stuck in terminal E and your stomach is demanding some food by all means. But do not expect anything great. On a positive note: you can watch the action on the tarmac.

Great place to grab a bite before a flight correction... still a fantastic place to stop for a drink or meal before your flight. The best customer service ever.

Food is average for this country, prices high, though most at airport is.

They ask 6 francs for 0.2l glass of orange juice. SIX FREAKIN' FRANCS. That's outrageous.

Very overpriced like everything else in this country

The place is expensive like all other eateries in this airport. 500 ml bottle of water costs around CA$6. Paying for food is also a bit tricky, you're good if you have swiss francs . But you can only use Canadian bills(no coins...why???) and the change they give back will be swiss francs.

Sandwich surprisingly good, staff friendly, beer deep.

Visited the place on 05 Nov '17 after a 12 hours lay-over due to flight cancellation to grab a coffee and some food for myself and my daughter prior to flying. When I couldn't hear what the service lady said, and asked if she could kindly repeat it, her answer was "you have problems hearing?", "so difficult to understand?" - what the f*** - stop hiring and get rid of frustrated staff that is ruining the image of a generally well designed place with decent products! Shocking how low quality and zero service orientation your staff has!

Ended up at Zürich airport at 6am just wanted a drink but the staff was suxh an idiot, airport staff kwpt jumping the que and he kept puahing us back!
