Very friendly service on the beautiful terrace

Great place for fair priced food with a view.

The restaurant is getting old. The service was very tight and the menus for next week were probably listed at the round table. We were briefly looked at and not greeted. Even the look into the kitchen didn't turn us on. I suspect that this is still an excursion meeting for motorcyclists on the terrace when the weather is nice and not necessarily a place to eat.

Very nice view, makes up for other shortcomings. Food is good. Service can be very slow and badly organized, most likely because understaffed. (The sign outside mentions they are looking for extra people, so if you are interested...) We were there 15mins waiting to be seated with three people telling us they will pass by but never did, seated ourselves by checking who will pay soon, then waited another 20mins to place an order and another 40mins to get food. So we spent over an hour waiting around. In the meantime others were seved who arrived way after us so it might be dependent on luck really. For sure do not visit if you do not have something like 2hrs to spend if you want lunch. For drinks it is faster. Could be the situation changes of the staff increases. The view is exceptional. To me this should not be the only really strong point of a restaurant though. Sorry. (And the message on their place mats "please be nice to our staff, good personnel is harder to get than good guests" might prove that others think differently, fine for them.)

Only ate dessert and drank mulled wine and coffee. Mega tasty! Brilliant view, very nicely furnished and decorated!

Four of us spontaneously dined here on a Friday evening at the beginning of October. Best burgers, huge and really tasty at a great price!!! Service was also very nice. Want to go again in the summer when the terrace is open.

Stopped there yesterday on our motorcycle tour. Very friendly and helpful staff - and a very tasty goulash soup! Great view, despite the moderately nice weather...

I was able to enjoy lunch with great pleasure. It was plentiful and cooked to perfection. The service was very courteous, not intrusive, but still attentive. I was worried about the fact that the menu had to point out that guests should behave towards the staff.

Despite registering with the car, we waited an hour for the food. It was lukewarm on a cold plate. The staff was nice but it was a shame that they were completely overwhelmed

We have pre-ordered lunch. In 2 hours we got a soup and a meal. The staff tried very hard, but was far too slow. Wouldn't visit the place again.

It has a nice terrace. Unfortunately it was full. The restaurant is also very nice. Super nice people, our little one got a coloring book and pencils and extra sauce for Coup Denmark. Really great. Bravo. The food was great. We will be back.

Were guests today, after 25 minutes of not paying attention to the table we got up and left. Unfortunately, we didn't get a look, even though it wasn't very crowded. Disappointing. Especially when the kids are hungry.

Cold reception service and a long wait. Yet we had reserved. Too bad because only the view is worth the detour.

Very nice. Great view. I can't say anything about the food, we just had a drink and some ice cream.

We stopped at the Alpenblick in the evening, unfortunately it was a bit hazy so we didn't have a view of the Alpenblick. But the innkeepers can't do anything about it. We were greeted warmly and each ordered a burger. It was tasty and plentiful and at a very reasonable price at 15chf. By the way, the panorama is absolutely worth seeing even without the Alps. We will be back.

We stayed one night in a small group. The dinner and service was ok, the breakfast good. The highlight is of course the panorama and the morning atmosphere. Overall, however, it is a tourist check-in.

Nice location, nice staff and very fine apple pie. Every motorbike stop is worth it and is also rewarded with a beautiful view.

A bit of a down-to-earth atmosphere, but friendly. Too few staff, correspondingly long waiting times. However, the waitress was very friendly and the food was delicious. Beautiful location with a beautiful view.

If I could I wouldn't give a star. We sat outside right at the entrance to the inside. It was busy and the waiting times were accordingly, but that wasn't the problem. We could hear the boss yelling at his employees inside. Then we got up and left again.

Good home-style restaurant for bikers and drivers who are planning a stopover there. The service is sometimes overwhelmed.

This is a "go to" place for when I have guests visiting. It has a fabulous view over the Jura and Midlands. On a clear day one can see the alps. The food is good and plentiful, the service good. Popular place with motorcyclists

We spontaneously wanted a little something to eat. Waited more than 15 minutes, but the waiter couldn't get it under control. He made a lot of empty runs, and when we still couldn't place an order after 25 minutes, we left.

My friend from Brazil and I go to this place every year. I was always looking forward to being there, everything was great. Yesterday I also expected top service, which unfortunately didn't happen. The service girl who passed us three times didn't even ask what we wanted to order. We were ignored for 25 minutes. After 25 minutes we simply got up, thanked them for the “great service” and left. Immediately after us, two more people took our seats and were served within a minute. Because of this service we will not visit the restaurant again. Very unfortunate!

The food is tasty, portions are sufficient. The view on the terrace was very pleasant. The waiting time for the dishes was too long. I can confidently recommend it. As for the prices, they are affordable. It was very nice to watch the sunset there while having dinner. Nice service.

The staff in the Alpenick-Passwang restaurant are always friendly, and the food (e.g. Töff burgers or rösti gratinated with cheese) is excellent in taste. The portions are generous - normal eaters are quite well fed. The restaurant is in a magnificent location: in good weather you can definitely see the Alps - which means the restaurant lives up to its name.

Although there was a nice view, the service was relatively unfriendly - a shame!!!!!! You can have a drink, but we don't have time for cooking 😬😬 We (4 people) were looking forward to a snack, 2 people coming from Langenthal and 2 people from Pfeffingen BL

Not high cuisine but what it does it does well, in a stunning location with great views. The Töff burger is a full meal in itself. It’s also 8-10 degrees cooler than Basel so also great to visit when it’s too hot and you want somewhere a bit cooler.

Even without the view, it's always worth a stop, or as Michelin would say: a detour or even a trip. The extremely friendly service and the great burger cannot be topped in the region and beyond. Price performance is also outrageously good.

Very friendly and courteous service. The price-performance ratio is right. The coffee was good, with a biscuit and the view was really worth the drive. But why do I only give it 3 out of 5 stars? The women's toilet was still "okay", but the men's toilet had a huge pool of urine that "men" couldn't even wash their hands without stepping in. The whole lower area/entrance smelled like urine. I think that you should just take the time and keep the quiet place clean, then I would be happy to give all 5 stars 🌟.

The food was very good, the service was terrible, the waiter walked past us without asking, even when you called him, the answer was coming straight away. What a shame, we were about to leave then he graciously came with the food placemats. The replacement, the waitress was great, kept asking if everything was ok. very unfortunate.
